In it's current state, the flight engine has issues with aircraft that utlize separate lift engines (as opposed to swiveling nozzles). The Yak-38 (and the 41/141) both use separate lift engines aft of the cockpit. I hope TK and team have corrected this issue. -

I did suggest that you edit that value (the "Y" axis vaule) in my first reply, remember? EmptyInertia=X,Y,Z -

No, but a Tomahawk may damage it heavily. Harpoon, is at best, a Frigate killer; it was designed to kill patrol craft. In service in '67, I just checked -

Well, most ASM-equipped Soviet subs of that era needed to surface in order to deploy their ASMs. I believe the SS-N-16 "Stallion" was the first Soviet ASM that could be effectively deployed while submerged....and that was in 1979. The Oscar class carried the SS-N-19 "Shipwreck", and that submarine class and missile system went into service in 1983. We can always set up earlier sub-classes as surface threats, and there is/was a work around for submerged systems (obviously, we don't yet know what NA will allow in the way of a work-around or cheats ) -

Is that a Gearing class DD? Update: DD 743 was the USS Southerland, a Gearing class DD. She was decomissioned in '81. -

Not really, that was a list of definitions originally posted by Charles at either Thirdwire or SimHQ. From the wiki: Cl and Cp relationshipThe coefficient of lift for an airfoil with strictly horizontal surfaces can be calculated from the coefficient of pressure distribution by integration, or calculating the area between the lines on the distribution. This expression is not suitable for direct numeric integration using the panel method of lift approximation, as it does not take into account the direction of pressure-induced lift. where: CpL is pressure coefficient on the lower surface CpU is pressure coefficient on the upper surface LE is the leading edge TE is the trailing edge When the lower surface Cp is higher (more negative) on the distribution it counts as a negative area as this will be producing down force rather than lift. So you can see that the "official" explanation is at odds with what the actual value does in this series... -

That's a roll moment that you're editing (not a roll damper), and imbuing each panel with that large a value may result in unintended consequences. Such as a model that may still fly on an even-keel with half a wing missing (instead of rolling towards the side with reduced lift) Moderately reducing the roll moment values, in conjunction with a reduction in the "Y" axis inertia value, would be a better course of action. -

So it would appear...the after-burner TGA is clearly visible in that image, which means that unless TK's "changed things", those engines are throttled up into 'burner. -

They're SAMs being launched against targets that are leaving contrails and maneuvering at altitude, which is not the expected modern ASM flight profile (meaning on or near the deck). -

Those Backfires are at their weapons release point, they're in afterburner, and they're launching ASMs at targets that are most likely over the horizon from them.....I like what I see! -

I snapped this image while on vacation in Morehead City, NC, back in December of 2007. They wre deliverd by a team of sailors, and they spent a couple of days berthed at the Morehead City Yacht Basin. Are they some sort of SEAL assault boats?

If I'm not mistaken, in order to assign bump and specular-mapping, the .lod file has to be in Unicode, so the model will unfortunately not work in any of the first-series titles, with the exception of the WoI expansion pack (though being limited to DX9, you won't be able to see the bump or specular maps, even then). -
The foundations for the old towers are now reflecting pools, with the names of those who died in the 1993 and 2001 attacks etched onto bronze plaques that surround both of them: http://www.wpix.com/news/wpix-photos-massive-reflecting-pool-111010,0,3801274.photogallery Also, we're discussing two different lines, the PATH (Port Authority Trans-Hudson) is a commuter rail line that links NJ with NYC. The WTC is one of two major PATH stations in NYC (the other is Madison Square Garden / Penn Station). The Cortlandt street station is an MTA station, that serves the 1 and N & R line subway lines. More background: WTC PATH STATION

I had to attend a meeting in NYC this afternoon, so I took the PATH train into the WTC station, and when I emerged out on street level, this is what I saw: Here's a shot as I was heading back to the station for the trip home, from the corner of Broadway and Vesey streets, with the Freedom Tower silhouetted against the evening twilight: Sorry for the poor quality, but what should one expect from a cellphone cam, afterall?

"Real Length" has nothing to do with it in this case. It's a matter of achieving minimum air speed without the benefit of the upward vector that would otherwise be imparted from a working ski jump (a must for the AI). So, unless the game developers work that in to the next title or patch set (doubtful), we all have to live with workarounds of this sort. Also, as mentioned above, this is also an out-of-date data.ini file, which is why I suggested to Julhelm that we pull the upload until we update it, ideally after SF2NA, so we can work in other surprises
