Yes, that's why SF2 campaigns are interesting. For instance, I love flying a VN Mig-21 in a sky full of yankee air pirate and plan carefully my "ambush". In SF2E also, you have to plan carefully your egress to avoid being ambushed by an ennemy. I had a lot of funny missions in all sorts of campaigns because the hunter can always become the "hunted"

According to what I read on Acig : The Mirage F1C and Mig23MLD have basically the same maneuvrability (Mig better in vertical, Mirage in horizontal, but not by much either) The F4E is also within the same class (but I think it is a "slatted wing version"). As to the comparison between Mirage F1 and Mirage III, some french pilots were not very enthousiastic and would have rather had a Mirage III with more fuel, more thrust and a better radar. From what I read, PoW were helped by the red cross who delivered them food from their native countries. Due to the high number of prisonners on both sides, they were usually fairly well treated for fear that if one side mistreated prisonners, the ennemy would retaliate.

I noticed the same thing but saw 2 problems : 1- gunners are too deadly, but a player can somewhat handle this 2- AI is suicidal against gunners
