  1. NO numbers showing on the AIs is a known problem, and I think it was Gunny Killerbee who suggested re-saving all the files concerned with unicode and capitals... My problem is that they fail to show only on the lead aircraft of each flight/group. EDIT: The stock missions are OK; it happens apparently only on missions I've created with KMD. Comparing the missions with notepad hasn't brought me any closer...
  2. Makes you wonder what the other half of the deal was... There's always a hand under the table, especially when this sort of thing takes place. The French have been beyond desperate to sell the Rafale to someone - anyone...
  3. I've noticed that in ("Load a...") missions (as opposed to "Create a Mission" mode)the aircraft number decals don't appear to be working correctly. Thefirst aircraft in each flight, regardless of type or nationality, showsno number. It is only the second one which does, starting with thenum000.tga decal. Others follow on in order. In "Create a..." mode, allaircraft are correctly numbered, but the numbering does not start fromnum000.tga. Anyone else getting this? I'm running the updated May 2009 version.
  4. Which are the more accurate - the stock SF2V (etc) A-7 series. or the Mirage Factory ones?
  5. Verstehe ich nicht.
  6. Thought you'd like that! Have fun!
  7. I've found it works in my mods folder, as long as the terrains cat file is open in there; otherwise it can't find either the terrain or the aircraft list - well, mine can't, anyway. But it does work...
  8. 79 downloads

This is the FULL complete set of all 5 skin maps, NOW put together on one place, one file, for easy downloading. Because having 5 single individual files to hunt down, was stupid.

  10. OK, so not the mods folder. My first mistake. Watch this space for the next one... :blush2:
  11. I am having a hell of a job actually getting it to do what I want, despite reading the read-me and applying the information. Is there a decent idiot-level tutorial anywhere, do you know? I used to use Le Missionneur in SF1, but as you know, it won't go in SF2. A work around I've used for add-on terrains is to write the mission with Le Missionneur using SFG, and then exporting it into SF2. I can't do that however for SF2E or SF2V, because the stock terrains are missing.
  12. That looks brilliant! really brilliant! Green Leader, watch out...
  13. LEKKER! Good one, my china!
  14. Ta mate!
  15. I've been getting this effect recently, using Brain32's Vietnam tiles and Green Hell 2. Any ideas? It's certainly a known problem, but I don't know it yet!
  16. Be useful if they could do a version for SF2 as well...
  17. Just out of interest, what controls are you using to govern mixture, pitch and boost? I know we've already mentioned boost and seen that there was no real solution immediately available, but I'm thinking about the other things too.
  18. I've not had this either (SF2, SF2V, SF2E on Windows XP) despite a large number of my own conversions plus Killerbee's weapons pack. Whenever something has failed to show or work as advertised, I've always managed to trace it back to "user error" in converting, or missing parts, etc.
  19. An interesting point which we've never taken any notice of in CFS1/2/3, MAW or ETO. Under French law at least, the use of the swastika is authorised as long as it is in its correct historical context, for reasons of historical accuracy. I think it's also the case in Germany, too - otherwise you'd never be able to show a war film on TV! But the decision not to show them on the tails of warbirds (although the RAF's Bf109G-2 does carry one!) is I think just out of diplomacy. A lot of the less intelligent still take it badly when it clearly is not meant badly. In any case, in ten plus years of WW2 flightsimming, I've never heard of any trouble about this. And I've done plenty of Luftwaffe skins!
  20. Sarge??? That looks familiar! Glad to see things are coming along...
  21. Same problem here, using the F-86 pit; I don't think the pit comes into it. Anyway: The nosewheel rises by itself at 96kts, and the aircraft begins to oscillate fore-and-aft at around 115-120kts. Tyre-squeals begin at around 150kts, which is when the airbrakes fly off - starboard first at 151kts, port immediately afterwards. The wheels leave the ground at 158kts followed immediately by the explosion - or fire, followed by the explosion, once. The figures are from one full-power test run. In the other, I reduced speed before take-off when things started to go wrong, and caught fire instead. Talking of skins, are you releasing that RAF one?
  22. Emp_Palpatine's right. I've bought a number of sims from TK's online stie, and you know exactly what you're getting. But I wonder if I wouldn't wait a bit to see if SF2 Israel doesn't appear before long... It's as well to get the latest version whenever possible.
  23. The interesting bit comes when you have a new gun or weapon to add... I haven't figured stage II out yet. Still doing it by hand.
