    Yeah at the start of the new terrain I actually had an idea of transffering the existing terrain meshes into the max and use the advantage of new TE texturing and other MAX possibilities to greatly upgrade it at low to no performance cost in game but although I already had the desert terrain in max I was clueless what to do and simply gave up...

    I made it work, just drove a Jeep around Moscow, these guys really did something special with the game, I think there's still stuff to figure out about the mod, it's freakin huge...

    I have il2 v4.12.2 + maps+waw and it takes 29GB...not that it's of ANY relevance as it does not work...YET!

    I'm starting fresh with the v2 and just to get it clear: - I already had vanilla 4.12.2 official - installed ModAct 5.3 now what? Do I install the Modular Map Expansion next and then the Era modules or there's something I have to do first?

    Saitek is very solid, I had CyborgEVO for years and that was during my il-2 online period too and it was not the pots that were worn but plastic and other parts, then I got the cheap ST290...I think about 6 or 5 years ago...still works as in the first year...

    Worn pots, had that issue with my ancient Genius stick, you can fix it, at least temporary, with increasing the dead zone in controller options...

    carrier fps are always low even with default planes...just too many stuff on the deck for this game engine...

    Ahh...I thought you didn't know it exists and were searching for a similar replacement ;) If it helps the new one I converted is per flight manual an F-86F cockpit, earlier versions are different in some respects...
