Isn't Timor part of one of the WW2 Pacific terrains that Edward did? At Avsim IIRC. Also, Gramps website mentions a RAAF Timor campaign, but I don't know anything other than what he's got up there.

And in the book it was the fictional USS Shiloh! Stephen Coonts flew from the Enterprise, so it's as much a tribute to him as theplane in the book/movie. If someone wants to mod the skin with the Independence name by all means go ahead and I can add it as an extra skin in any update.

Although Morg gets killed in the first chapter of the book (and after about five minutes of the movie), he and Jake had flown together for two years prior to that point, so you can use the skin to recreate some of their adventures before Morg's untimely death. Besides, you can use the A-6B to fly with Tiger Cole! Unfortunately there is no publicly available Morgan Mcpherson pilot model at this time, so if someone would be kind enough to make and release one I would be only too pleased to include it in an update. In view of this, the data.ini is set up to use the Jake Grafton pilot available at Wrench's site at http://wrench1smog.com as the pilot, and the default PILOT as the B/N. This plane is compatible with all of the A-6 skins currently available. You'll just need to go into the decal.ini file within the skin folder and edit it so that all references to the original A-6 model the skin was made for are changed to A-6A FOTI. No, I was talking about the F-15B & D, not the F-16B & D. I'm sure I've seen pics of them with CFT's like the F-15E & F-15I.

List updated. Thanks a lot guys. Sag, do the B & D have CFTs? I think that there are some in the weapons pack (created for the first version of the F-15C?) but I'm not sure they were actually implemented. I think the IAF do use them though.

Try going into the game's graphics options settings and changing the cockpit textures to a lower setting.

Start on the runway, fly a few waypoint manually mainly to get chance to admire the planes and the terrain, then alt-n to where the action is. But following on from this, do you guys alt-n back home or fly that leg manually? Personally I try to fly it myself, unless the missus is calling me back to real life.

There is an Israeli F-16C and F-16D included in the F-16 pack available at Avsim. Also, there's an F-16C-25 skin at Avsim too. There is no F-15B available yet, Israeli or otherwise. There are Israeli F-15C skins available here at CA. They are for the earlier version of the F-15C, also available here. There is an Israeli F-15D that is WIP at the moment.

Thanks Jim. Just added it to the fictional skins list. IMHO it would be something the Israelis could really make use of in reality. Not for an all out fight with the Syrians or Iranians, but over Gaza or Lebanon the combination of accurate sensors and devastating concentrated firepower would be a real bonus. Does anyone know how the USAF versions are doing over Iraq and Afghanistan?
