Ceasar, i normally fly air to mud, but felt like flyin A2A in the Hornet on the night in question. just a quick see what ya get mission. i sometimes script missions flyin crusaders or Phantoms against isreali jets just for the heck of it. call it fictional response to the Liberty strike. i know all about gettin jumped halfway home, but a fighter sweep of the home base was kinda new to me. Slarti, with my luck a nuke would land while in the pub! (Dave doesnt fly red air does he? )

general question for those that participate in here. did a mission last night, 4 CF-18 v 8 Mig-21PFM. easy enough, cakewalk mission not done with ME. it was a mission cranked out before bed, so i alt-N'd back home to land only to find my flight bounced by 4 Mig-23s over the homedrome!! took them all out as well(thank you rayethon, thank you mcdonnell douglas)but lost my #3. has anyone else seen this before? obviously it was a bit of a shock as home has been safe at the end in single missions! also i obviously shouldnt fly outta laarbruch again.

also until after desert storm PGMs were still rarer in the inventory. magic bullets to be used sparingly. look at Eldorado Canyon in 86. Pave Tack equipped F-111Fs striking with regular Mk82s. after round one in the desert did the priority switch to using mostly PGM as opposed to dumb bombs.

do we have sub launched Tomahawks? yes still thinking RSR here and OP Doolittle in particular. Hey if lexx_luthor can make them supermaps for his SAC flying why couldnt the map be extended a bit farther to include Scotland and Norway, Murmansk? edit: just google mapped that. that map would be huge!!! could poss use BoB england and North Cape maps for land terrian but sheesh!!! still if it could be done the possibilities....

good job Slarti, though my preferred method once again is hit the deck runnin. AI still doesnt like coming down below 500 ft (tho thats down from the previously observed 1000 ft) and missles definatly lose you in ground clutter below 250 feet! most of my ACM lately comes from doing an immelman and poppin a F Sparrow at that one a$$hole in the Flogger that doesnt take mach 1.15 and 200 ft AGL for the last 5 miles as a hint i want to leave! no maybe not smart but strangely effective when you only have one mig tagalong....

looks like the final configuration for the RF-4C prototype, which also did YF-4E duty and FBW testin with canards at the end of its career. can be seen at the USAF museum (sans iranian paintjob) today. looks damn cool tho.

if your not looking for historically accurate use the ones from my Post Vietnam pack. i did all the TW Phantom serials in all black (for Euro 1 and SEA Wraparound) and in gray. still gotta update that pack but no wireless reception in the room right now so i'm stuck with MWR computers that i cant upload/download on.

maybe he wants two different time eras. bases and cities looked different in say WW2 thru the 50s and the 70s thru the 80s. a berlin airlift scenario would be geographically the same as GermanyCE but look much different.(nudge nudge hint hint wink wink know what i mean? )

same opinion as Major Lee, Gepard. no one wants to see a major economy or currency fail. at the time i just did not think the nations of Europe had come together enough at that point for it to work. the way that europe has interlocked its economies and defense is a big step to a quote united states of europe. however national identities are still very strong within each soveriegn nation and may lead to big changes down the road. as always, politics play a part in economics and vice versa. not to mention as always, all politics is local. maybe not the end of the euro zone itself, maybe a changeup in the currency to adjust for the current problems.

when RL gets suckier (and with lotsa downtime) thats when ya fly the SF skies and mod. and in my case find out someone else way more skilled is working on what i'v been muddling through for the last two weeks! still looking forward to it guys both someplace interesting to me to fly besides the Fulda Gap and certain planes that SF2E is missing from TW/CA. (Invaders come to mind )
