I never played this game, but I had it for the C64. It was on a disk, and I remember the label... I was never into games like that. How was it? OvS

Olham, this is not only a fantastic offering, but a very honorable one. We thank you for doing this and really appreciate it. It's important that all walks of life, regardless of creed, language or belief that are interested in OFF enjoy OFF... as it has a lot of history for everyone!

Parrma and I are working on this... as we are biased! You might see more German langauge, as well as French, in upcoming additions... or the next phase. It all depends on how Winder wants to approach this... but the team is dedicated to putting you at the desk, in the war, fighting as you would have in WWI as best we can! OvS

A lone Pflaz D.IIIa from Jasta 30 patrols over the British Sector. OFF BHaH.

Here's a 1 screen shot for you to view and maybe use as a desktop background if you like German planes. It's Makai's Jasta 30Pfalz D.III flying over some British targets. Note the close attention to detail Winder put into the railyard scenery and the Army base camp. This is an unofficial OFF picture, purely taken for my personal scrutiny while I was checking a few tweaks Winder made to the scenery. I found it to be so life-like, I wanted to share it with you in respect to the hard work that's been put into the immersion and detail of this game. Enjoy! OvS I'm going to add this to the Gallery as well.

OT A little Joke for you all

I LOVE IT!!! These jokes rock!! :drinks::drinks: -
Pats fans shouldn't get offended.... we beat them, it was a tough, well played and coached game on both sides. It was far from an easy win for the Jets. Besides.... the Pats have reigned for 10 years... we've been in that shadow for all of them. Most people don't even know that the Jets have had winning records of 9+ wins the past 10 of 12 seasons... problem is... the Pats always have at least 2 more. So it was a sweet victory today.... tomorrow is another day. We still have to face them again in their house, which will be hell for us as usual. OvS

I think this photos pretty much sums it up.... Sucks to be Fred Taylor... I count 5 Jet's helmets in on this tackle, and another about to join in the fun. We're finally back!!!

My Great-Grandfather on my Dad's side was in the Italian Army (I think Calvary, or Infantry) at the East Front fighting the Austrians. He survived and went on to be a mounted Carabinera in Palermo. -
Well, I thought XXXXX did more than OOOOO did...

Good points Jedi... It's all on how you look at it... but to toss a comment like someone is being racist, or thier comments are racially backed is really pathetic. Carter is out of line, and should not have stepped forward with his comments. He is using an old mentality on an issue that has changed since the 70's. Racism has expanded to literally disagreeing with someone of color now. I see this all the time where I work. I work with a 50/50 work force, made up of everthing from Irish, to Turkish, to Italian, to African... Jamaican, Barbadian, Trinidadian... EVERYTHINGIAN!! But I see it more and more, as soon as I disagree, I'm a racist. I was told once, "You didn't vote for Obama because you're a racist!". Nice huh? I should have put that on a t-shirt. I voted for McCain because he was more of what I wanted to represent me, and where I think the USA should be. To me, Obama was a movie star, a chance for a point to be made in history... and a democrat. I've been asked to be tolerant of gays, lesbians, blacks, hispanics, muslims, on and on and on.... but who is tolerant of me? BTW... what the hell is white anyway? My entire family is from Sicily which is Spanish, French, German, Lybian, Egyptian, Greek, Italian, African... and everything else that sailed a ship into a port... and people keep calling me white???
-
Well, it looks like 'ole Jimmy Carter stepped into the pile again... in the 70's, screwing up the USA... then 2 years ago pissing off the Israelis just wasn't enough.... now he goes and embarrasses the American white race. But honestly, calling Joe Wilson a racist because the outwardly accused Obama of lying... which is not the first time a senator has done this on the House floor ... of which he apologized and was accepted. He's a racist because he disagrees with the President??? Meanwhile, during his campaign Obama was linked to a church with a known racist pastor, he has already got himself caught up in a political/racial incidnet by saying a Mass Police department acted 'stupidly' in arresting Gates for being drunk, violent and threatening a police officer... Obama hired a known radical and revolutionary into his cabinet, meanwhile just 5 years ago this same man was denouncing the USA and calling it a Communist nation??? That's his circle of friends??? Wilson's a racist??? Man.... old Jimmy is really off-base here. Once again it amazes me at how quick that card is tossed down... and is always one-sided. Wilson called Obama a liar because he is.... tell me what president we've elected hasn't??? "I didn't inhale", "No new taxes"... "Well.... I don't remember"... "Our intelligence shows we found WMA's in Iraq" ... just to name a few... It might not have been the smartest thing to do, but it shows the man has guts, and is willing to stand-up for what he believes. BTW... Obama is half-white... I guess that side of him does not account for anything... as they keep calling him African-American... ??? He's not African-American.... he's bi-racial, or inter-racial.... but I guess that wasn't very marketable and would not have gotten him elected.... One-way street... If Justin Timberlake pulled a "Kayne West" on Byoncee... If Kim Clijsters made the comments to a black line judge like Serena Williams did to a white one ... If a black Senator stood up in the chamber and called a white president a "liar"... ... would they call them racists? I just want to know.... OvS Here's the CNN (Democrat Channel) biased article... http://edition.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/09/15/carter.obama/index.html I must agree with Michael Steele... it's about policy...not race. "Michael Steele, who is the first African-American to chair the Republican National Committee, denied Wednesday that race is fueling protests."President Carter is flat-out wrong," Steele said in a statement. "This isn't about race. It is about policy."

OT: Mad Otter Games acquires Red Baron Series
OvS replied to Gremlin_WoH's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
We (SWWISA) tried this years ago. It was deemed by a few 'insiders' that had privy to the RB3D code, that Vivendi lost it, or it was unknowingly destroyed when they took over. If it appears again, by some virtue of someone hording it on floppies under a mattress, I would be shocked. We had direct communication with a few folks that were right out of the programming team at Sierra... so it was good info. We made every possible attempt to get the code, but not having much money to pool for offer, did not help. So we'll see where it goes... but as far as graphics are concerned, forget it... it's all Voodoo code. It would have to be re-written from scratch. But... the main core of the game, which is the campaign manager should be usefull. Honestly though.. I don't think it will be better than OFF's. WM has made every attempt, and still is, at getting OFF to include everything RB3D had, and then some. All the best, OvS -

Good point uncleal... The N28 will be completed simply to help the American campaign, instead of using the SPAD XIII for fill. It's an important plane that needed to be a part of the list. Although the French did not like it, the USAS had success with it against the lesser quality Jastas in the southern sections. It will be great to see that one in the air. :) The remaining Noops all come from the same N17 mold, the N24 is slightly different, but the N27 is basically the same, with an N24 rudder. We needed them for the same reason as the N28... instead of seeing the N17 lasting so long as a filler, we'll now have the correct planes doing as they should where they should. The twister was the E.V. The most mysterious plane of them all. I lobbied against putting it in as I felt with the limited time the guys had to model planes, it was better spent on a 2-seater, or another German plane. But Pol had already nearly finished the model some time ago, and wanted it in. It's good that he did as it really is nice to see flying as I test it. It's a fun plane to fly, and very well modeld, probably aside from the Bristfit, the best model Pol has done yet. So yes, time is important, and we really keep a close eye on what we choose for the game. We hope to have many more planes in the sky down the road, but one-step at a time as it goes. All the best, OvS

1. Yes 2. No. When we consider adding a plane, it's based on historical value, adding depth to the campaign, allowing for a fair balance... and of course how much it will contribute to the immersion. Other than some shoreline bombing and ship attacks, the HB would not be a high enough priority to build, especially against a Pfalz D.XII, Sopwith Snipe... Alb 2-seater, Dorand, Cauldron.. etc.. etc.. etc... Believe me, if we could, they'd all be in there, but we can't. One model at a time. Thankfully, we will have a full compliment of Noops, and the E.V to play with. I haven't started my lobbying efforts yet.. but I am going to beg either WM or Polovski for that long awaited Pfalz D.XII or Fokker D.VI.... hint... hint... ;) Or even... the Halberstad CLII!!!! If not, I'd love to see more early war crates like the Voison, Aviatik... etc.. OK... here we go again!! OvS

There's no way that's real... check the i-net.. it's fake... but stoooooppppiiddd funny!

Ohlam, Great stuff! As much as I do respect DSA's information and opinions, and believe me I do... you also have to put everything into perspective and add doubt to it all, as he will tell you, it's his opinion, based on his research... it's not bible. Although the German's were top-notch at archiving everything, they also lost portions of it during bombing of WWII, and some of it simply lost over time... so we can add speculation to it all... and we did. Another issue we came across was noticed when we actually applied the suggested paint scheme to planes in OFF based on his color charts. Some looked very good, and some were so off the wall that they looked silly. So again, we altered and tweaked to the look of the game and the thought of being speculative. At worst, we can call it an adaptation of DSA works. As far as the D.VIII, we knew that, and have heard it suggested as well that not one made it to the front after the alterations were made, but again, sprinkling a little doubt and speculation... you'll have them to fight the Snipe, when and if it becomes available. Why not... we can have a little fun and imagination with history as wel... besides... it takes a lot of work to make these planes and skin them... we want you all to enjoy them as well. OvS -
