Okay nothing came up other than a request for an unmanned Blackhawk. It's "easy" and difficult, because maybe because I work solo, I can't fanagle a UAV-like helicopter that at the minimum can transport troops. I'm sure a lot of milsims are looking into it, and the helo specific mod teams haven't mentioned looking into it, but the Sikorsky annoumcement last year made some waves in a lot of circles, and I'm sure yeah, you'd like a UAV-like Blackhawk. Trouble is that I tried it back then and managed to maybe realize that FFV slots work fine with a UAV troop transport, and not a dedicated Cargo seat. I said to the requestor that I'd look into it though, maybe I missed something, or the game simply can't do it. We'll see.

Flanker562 Weapons Pack Rc132 - Fixed the JTAC vest (thanks to PoToo for pointing it out) Flanker562 Helicopter Pack RC194 - Fixed some geometries on the UA-57 - Tweaked the model of the UA-57, thanks to C.Eagle by hooking me up with some models from Toadie2K (the magazine and feed chute models) to enhance the look of the system, to make it a bit more believable. - Adjusted the depression of the FLIR balls on the HH-60H's (thanks from gatordev bringing that up), now depresses 25 degrees. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=667709746

I mean my stick works fine with Win11 (and other than an issue that was fixed, works fine for me) so I'm not going to give up on it of course, but for now it holds it's charm over this stick anyway.

Yeah I'm using a TM HOTAS One for my flight sim needs, so yeah it's probably gone the wayside...

If you haven't noticed, I added two tutorials I did years ago, that hopefully will be relevant these days, even though it was done years ago. Anyway, check them out and hopefully you'll like them.

View File DCS-JFO-JTAC-Pilot Guide This is an old guide I made for DCS years ago. It might add some help with some things, and based on my experiences in Afghanistan Submitter Flanker562 Submitted 05/02/2026 Category DCS / LOMAC Tracks / Videos / Tutorials

View File DCS Ironhand Guide NOTE: This is a very old document (I don't have the original Word Document so it is as is) that I wrote before I had to stop playing DCS due to hard drive space. Now that I have a better laptop, I can play DCS and maybe update the document with a new one, or whatever. Anyway this covers a few systems, notably the big ones and small ones that the sim offers (mainly the stock ones, not any mods like stuff from currenthill). NOTE: I don't monitor my files once they're approved. Submitter Flanker562 Submitted 05/02/2026 Category DCS / LOMAC Tracks / Videos / Tutorials

Unfortunately no, that's something that I'm sure @Erik won't do. But I tagged him just in case, But I can't stop the US from bombing you either.

I think we'll check this week as a "light week" for me. I was supposed to look into folding rotors and may check the Hatchet GitHub for how to do it in model.cfg... But it's like one person coming up with niche gameplay for something you can't exactly move around. Unless there's a mod to move vehicles via towbar via a script or something, putting helicopters close together with folding rotors is for just a static display, and so will think on it. I'm just not in the mood right now to work on things, had a busy week and chilling out today from it, so we'll see. So for this Sunday: - Flanker562 Helicopter Pack - Flanker562 Weapons Pack Again light week, depending on if anybody else comes up with something else to work on or fix.

Generally I have little issue with downloading stuff from here. It could be anything, somebody downloading something, the ISP, or whatever. I mean you can only get some mileage, but @Erik can let you know about the intracacies of downloading from here though.

Yes, this isn't as difficult as it seems. And besides, it's how things will go. Now I've entertained this discussion long enough, I'm closing the topic.

I mean I don't disagree with you, but with modern translation systems it makes it too easy to figure out what is being said, and think that it should also be English Only, but I don't run the site, so Erik pointed that out to us when I brought up this issue. I mean yeah sure, English because I only really speak it primarily, but again, I don't make up the rules, just gotta enforce them.
-
As Staff we had a conversation about this, and overall what you do is highlight the text and then translate it to whatever language. So no more clowning on people because with that then forum language is what you translate it, hence me responding in Spanish. So English isn't the forum standard, per Eirk.

That's like the major difference with the games,, I run it on my settings, and it runs fine, but surely it'll choke at some point, and like, some people on SimHQ were saying a laptop couldn't handle it, but if you get a decent gaming laptop, though. It's easy to run SF2 and all the mods (just takes a while to load, longer than DCS) and barely a hiccup. DCS? Yeah I run it on my settings and it runs fine, but surely it'll choke at some point, and like, some people on SimHQ were saying a laptop couldn't handle it, but if you get a decent gaming laptop you can run DCS fine. Sure, you're not running it high-end (unless it's like Alienware), but overall the sim is easy to fly and just gotta watch out for the learning curve, but I don't see ED products as "easy as SF2" though. There's more to learn, like with the F/A-18C, I've yet to trap on a carrier, all because of the procedures I don't know yet. So some may see it that way, but I doubt that SF2 allows all the same gameplay and learning curves. That's my opinion though.
