Using the flightpath marker as an ad hoc gun pipper for laser designated targets First you'll need: - A good jet that has a high alpha (Legacy Hornet, Super Hornet, F-16 or whatever you're comfortable with) - Targeting pod and at the minimum one laser guided weapon (to provide the mark) Using this method you can at least be more "accurate" to a degree with gun runs. The procedure is simple, designate a target with the E key and that will provide your targeting diamond and use your flightpath marker as your "pipper". As the first image shows I've locked onto a target and not angling to put my flightpath marker near the diamond. What's recommended is put the flightpath marker and squeeze a short burst to get an idea where your bullets are hitting, while diving of course at the target. Sometimes a short burst afterwards provides a kill, sometimes it misses (third shot), but be aware you'll hit the ground... which is why I recommend a good fighter that pulls up nicely. Again coming around I line up again and this time let off a longer burst, remember keep the pipper below the diamond and walk your burst up until you get a kill. Dangers with this tactic: - Hitting the ground - SAM/AAA around the target area. If AAA/SAMs are your targets, then good luck...

That's anybody in the military, of course for the groundpounders if a Soldier doesn't complain then it's assumed something is truly wrong with her/him, there's always something to bitch about... -
And only then they make requests through the Facebook page, like the PAK-FA. Of course it's hard just telling people the one (IIRC) got removed because it was an Inksy jet and the BANIDOS team is taking it's time getting it's version out. And any problems I've seen were brought up on the FB page anyway, so it's a crapshoot. More than likely the members are on the forums, but just to download jets and the like they see advertised on the FB page.

Yeah but look how many people are doing skins versus requesting them... not a vent per se but sometimes the modding scene needs to take off a bit. But he could at least fix the Mission Editor, seems borked after June 2012. And yes he didn't consider it cost effective, but there's something like supporting your own product blah blah blah.

All my gaming is now on my laptop, which if I dusted off my desktop, spent hundreds of dollars to upgrade, wouldn't be worth it in the long run, but I run Strike Fighters fine... But agreed FC, though I kinda wish there was an MP DLC, hell I'd even buy it. But then again I can do better with my own skills than download a DLC, and I have so many templates... But while I like the selection of DLC Tomcat skins, it's easier to open CS4 and get workin'

Current updates to the Super Hornet: From FC himself: Notes: There is no more delination for decaled LODs...modify the aircraft ini accordingly. The first 3 levels of LODs have the same amount of polys and use bump maps. The first 2 levels of LODs use spec maps. The top level LOD is the decal LOD. All LODs use JPGs instead of bmps. More detailed damage nodes. Overall, it means there are more polys farther away..you may want to optimize distances a bit in the ini. - Canopyglass items now have a spec map. New template included for CanopyGlass.tga. - Canopy is now double sided. - Textures are now JPG instead of BMP What the last two mean is that now the HUD, canopy (for both versions) is included in a template format, allowing users to customize the HUD color (such as the bottom image, green), and other assorted stuff. And all textures are now JPG instead of BMP. For the plethora of skins I'll have to convert them eventually except the ones on my Hard drive. The process didn't take long but anyway... What I'm thinking of doing is uploading the models now (cockpit is still WIP, sorry) as a small incremental update, then eventually another "Full" package. Any thoughts on this? And the new pylons didn't require any changes to the templates either.

I'd still think there's a need for them, in case other modders need them, just in case...
