On a hunch a few days ago I figured at least a cheap NVG system for cockpits. Using the actual cockpit light and setting it to a green color I got the below. It's not totally perfect and could obviously use the benefit of a shader but allows better flying at night: LightRange=4.0 LightInnerConeAngle=360 LightOuterConeAngle=360 LightAngles=0.0,10.0,0.0 DiffuseLightFactor=0.7 NightLightOn=0.25 NightLightColor=0.0,1.0,0.0,0.7

Screen resolution settings sometimes screw up pics... from the model renders looks okay to me.

MSPaint isn't the program to get stuff like that in-game. Programs like GIMP (which is FREE) or Adobe Photoshop (which isn't, and very expensive, CS4 cost me 700 bucks). On the cheap scale Paint Shop Pro or even Adobe Photoshop Eseentials, which can give you decent skins.

Primary Role for VFA-2 is Strike and CAP, as well as Recon. I'm gonna have to wait until the Abraham shows up then I can do SEAD as well.

In the real world a lot of units become "available" due to end of training, readiness, etc. So you should be alright in jumping in.
