  1. They are certainly much needed.
  2. Ahh I thought it must be something along those lines, lovin' the Gauntlet too, we just need some of the Russian early birds to be re done as only the A team ones are around at the mo' and I don't want to get in deep doo doo skinning those for general release
  3. More bi plane loveliness
  4. those are sweet matey !! why is it named JU-87 though ? I realise it is still in development.
  5. ooooh cool !!
  6. Welcome aboard sailor
  7. Lost both my parents about 15 years ago within months of each other, so I know the pain and anguish of all that, so my best wishes to your Dad, may he get better soon, keep your chin up mate. Oh Bloody 'ell Kev, so sorry to hear that mate, hope your good Lady gets well soon buddy.
  8. Good scheme !! MigBuster always come up with most excellent vids, and articles, his walkaround ones yesterday were brill.
  9. Think the French used the same .303 the British did
  10. MEEEEEEG !!! love the 15's and 17's
  11. Just make your own one matey, copy any other gun data file and adjust the content to reflect the 7.7 calibre, adjust the ROF, and muzzle vel, and drop in which ever sound file you are using for the Lewis , that's how I made my Vickers Swartzloze and Lewis guns for the WWI aircraft I posted for SF2
  12. What the hell is going on this year, well loved Celebs dying like flies, its bonkers. Prince was a insanely talented song writer, and musician, not a total fan myself, however I am very aware of the impact he had on the music industry, and his passing is a truly sad and huge loss.
  13. I hadn't seen that particular documentary, thank you for posting it up, I love the Bucc, a brilliant aircraft, designed in the days when Britain had a decent aerospace industry.
  14. Her Majesty the Queen is 90 years old today, so I wish my Commander in Chief a very Happy Birthday, and long may you reign.
  15. Some interesting stuff there particularly the first one.
  16. Lovely Grub mate !!! any plans to do the long nosed NF version as well ?
  17. Yes, I think in real life, the lone gunman chasing the enemy aircraft home was both frowned upon, and unwise, but there are occasional incidents of it, by the lone wolf rebellious types. you turning in on the Schneider, is following the Bolcke dicta anyhow, always turn in to you attacker, he obviously though you have more ammo, and decided the discretion was the better part of valour !! the DH and FE pushers were a good stopgap, to try and combat the Eindekkers, and I have a special place in my heart for them, very dastardly and mutley !!
  18. an absolute rotter, most un-gentlemanly and certainly not cricket, couldn't he see a chap was orft for tiffin wot wot !!
  19. Sounds like something right out of a Biggles novel !! ( I grew up reading all the Biggles books Jingoistic and very British , but pretty good yarns all the same ) Its true the Germans did have different tactics to the British and French and the Laffayette boys, fling a flight of SE5's or camels into a swarming circus of Albatri must have been quite daunting, hardly surprising the survival rates weren't that special ! It's maybe a blessing the DVII and DVIII didn't appear in large numbers earlier or the Entente may have struggled even more. Archie and Flaming Onions were not hugely accurate, they didn't have the gun prediction tech that the Germans in particular had in WWII , so the idea was to distract and annoy the enemy aircraft, rather than actually bring them down, of course when that did happen , schnapps all round for the lads !! I have a feeling that MG anti aircraft fire was more effective and dangerous than the Archie/Flaming Onions The chap you murdered in the DH5 ( you filthy hun ! ) probably couldn't see you with all those wingy things behind and above him , so may be he thought you had swanned off, and was heading back to the mess for tiffin old chap , and then you murdered him you murderous swine !!! hahahaha
  20. See wot I mean 'bout the Mathmatiky voodoo....arrrgh !
  21. I stand corrected, not being au fait with Navy SOP's , as for Airforce Soviet ship buzzing, I think everyone does that, Brit French and US, so, I guess on reflection, these Russkies are just doing some of that pilot shit. speaking from a Grunts point of view, we had similar stuff in Germany in the cold war, with SOXMIS , soviet military mission , they used to watch us, but sometimes they got a little too adventurous, I seem to remember a particular Ex in Germany, when the Soxmis lads turned up, and started getting a little too close and personal, and we sent out to scorpions to see 'em off, it ended up with the 2 Scorpions, boxing the Soxmis Moskva in, one in front and one behind, with the 76mm's pointed in the window front and rear......in a non threatening way of course. The to crews were bollocked officially, but on the quiet given a pat on the back....oh how we laughed !!
  22. They do it to intimidate, and to judge reactions of any defence systems, I expect the SU's were filming everything......on top of that the Ruskies are crazy buggers, bless 'em.....you got to appreciate the sheer ballsyness and good flying though.
