Have quit going to the UBI forums? Well, I havn't copletely quit, I still like to go and check the screenshot thread. but other than that, that forum is filled with too many conspirousy theories, whiners, and anti-LOMAC attackers. its just gone down the drain <_<

So here's the consensus, firehawk. Both are extremely beautiful, with great aircraft and multiplayer. FS2004 Pros: good scenery, lots of addons, and it doesn't take a super computer to run it (though I would still advise having a good computer). FS2004 Cons: No action. :P LOMAC Pros: you get to blow stuff up :) campaigns are coming out everyday, extremely detailed scenery. LOMAC Cons: It seems to be selective about which computers it'll run on, and there arn't addons (with the exceptions of repaints and missions). So basically, it boils down to whether or not you want to blow stuff up or not. If yes, LOMAC, if not, FS2004 ;)

Yeah, noticed that too. Looks nice! Thought they seem to be a little rougher around the edges then the blobs.

nope, no flu :) Ok, maybe black spots isn't a good description. How about this, a large contrast in brightness in the textures. Some examples: LOMAC: Jet Thunder: See how the brightness contrast creates sort of a water looking texture? Its not just a high resolution photo, but the contrast is there.

Can anyone explain to me how layers work, and how to edit them? I've got an idea of what I think they should be, but I havn't figured out how to get at them yet...

On a solo then? or just flying illegal? lol Yeah, them K-State planes come to Manhattan all the time. They're nice, but not as nice as the Warriors that the place I'm going has ;) Anyone else here live in the Midwest?

Hey, I've got a quick question. I've notied in many modern sims that terrain textures have a bunch of black dots on them. LOMAC, FS2004, and Jet Thunder all have them. I'm guessing their purpose is to add to the sense of speed at low altitude, am I correct? I mean, they don't deteriate the look of the texture much, even if they're not there in RL. Discuss.
