  1. Man, what a soap opera.
  2. Yea, but you lost wrestling sim with a major predator? You like!!!11!!
  3. Yep, DNA enhanced ability to czech 6 o'clock a rock, 7 o'clock a rock; the whole 360.
  4. Simunition rounds. I like that.
  5. hehe...spot the changes below...word placement is everything. -------- I'm hitting on a really young female who is a major predator... -------- That has to be SiG worthy. hehe Server!!!11! You fellas/fellattes have any military security forums? If not I found one buried in here ~> http://forums.officer.com/forums/
  6. stupid firecrackers ~ firearms
  7. Article:: Good. About time too. Homes should price out at 2x to 3x annual pay, but the central bank engineered a housing bubble and now doing everything to prop it up even if it kills its own "dollar."
  8. I wish I lived near airbase. Put me right to sleep. I'm one of those that fall asleep with cozy thunder and ripping rain on the roof. Some of you may know what I'm talking about here. The most surreal sound ever man-made is a jetliner flying high above at maybe 30k+ feet. Its rather quiet being so high up -- you don't see flying chickens in the barnyard -- but its so DEEP. I love how the atmosphere between you and the high jet makes the sound slowly warble. If I were a game dev, that would be the Siberian Sky Soundtrack.
  9. coot is making some. First pac ~> http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=8752 second pac ~> http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?autoc...p;showfile=8818
  10. * bump * hehe missed this. The artillery piece in the low SF sun looks very interesting. Use that for Weapon Editor. How bout an R-4 missile....only US Cadillacs had bigger fins at the time...well about a decade earlier actually. Ah, when cars and missiles that had *real* fins.
  11. Wow Wrench, I just now czeched out the CA Skyraiders for the first time in this sim --- SUPER Sweet. The initial download has a cockpit that was never finished? Its very nice so far. 76, Joe B. has good intro Skyraider stuff here ~> http://home.att.net/~jbaugher/uscombataircraft.html specifically, under US Attack Aircraft ///// US Navy/US Marine Corp Attack Aircraft (1934-present)..etc..
  12. Yep, hand made missions it would seem, as the sim is closed locked tighter than a drum for dynamic campaign engine modding. All that is lacking is a map-wide combat results text file. Thus Lowengrin never could make a dynamic campaign for us, but his campaign engine saved FB/PF for many offline players for the simple reason FB/PF has that "eventlog" text file. For my Siberian Sky campaign, I do intend to program an independent dynamic mission generator but input for the data will have to come from estimating unit losses or their effects with external camera after all combat ends. As far as I know, its the only way.
  13. Some are stuck with ye olde PATCH 2006 which has no OpenCockpit. If you are stuck back in 2006 and are hardcore weird enough to try stargetic pits sometimes, but not always, you can change the clip variable before you fly. Another variable that needs consideration is LookAroundHeight found in AircraftObject file. This seems to be the pilot eye swivel arm length, and in some tight 3d models, has to be made smaller -- or your vision pops through the canopy hehe. Making it larger allows nice views of wings and intakes and droptanks and stuff outside the crew compartment, but some models the crew compartment is small and this variable needs be made smaller (say 0.02 or something).
  14. Just a guess but it may be possible to somewhat elevate the nose using engine thrust, or backing off thrust after powering up.
  15. Yea that's it FC. Spot on. Alot of planes can share the same guages. I'll *guess* a generic fuel guage could be used for MiGs 15 through 19, with any face numbers needing change through the bmp file and INI file for each plane. Just a guess though. Just a note about this... FC:: You can Move and then Rotate, well at least its something. You can Move a parent mesh and then Move a child mesh. That's what I had to do for A-6 for example. Drop the entire cockpit, raise the panels and other things...this allows leaving the rear wall dropped as additional benefit. Drop and Pop. I do the same for Thudwire Thud cockpit panel inside Thudwire Thud external model. By missing parts, do you mean what may be the "drift guage" in F-105? See the blank spot on the panel here. I couldn't find this as distinct mesh. More Thudwork down this page here ~> http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/viewtopic.p...a&start=176 An BIG potential for confusion in some cockpits is mixed up X,Y,Z coordinates, and some kind of mismatch of what should be positive and negative mesh movements. ie...drop a mesh 9 meters in Z and pop the child up 9 meters but it moves in another coordinate. Strange but true. Sometimes using another coordinate makes it work, sometimes not.
  16. hehe *bump* Thanks this is nice!!
  17. Right, and that's what you meant by this being of interest to aircraft builders. Understood!!
  18. Interesting stuff. Is it possible to "add" a complete aircraft to the cockpit....to provide canopy structure for some aircraft that have none because of one-sided canopy polygons? You need to hop inside MF F4U-7 model, and take a chopped MF Corsair cockpit with you. Just do it. Granted, Wrench is the Corsair kid here -- but its worth a peak.
  19. Plugging is good. I was thinking if its possible to make a window showing things outside. U-2 had a panel screen that showed stuff under the airplane. In at least one case I read, a pilot could see MiG pilot helmet in the MiG far below. First thing I thought was angling a cockpit mirror. That would work guarunteed but only if the game models angled mirror reflection. I have not tried rotating a mirror yet heeh. You have used Siberian Sun? Brave soul. Tip: In my short time trying PATCH 2008, I had to exactly double the sun and moon sizes, as well as double the sizes of the sun glares. Something went down there over at the Thudwire haaah..
  20. Last week I was attacked by electric hedge trimmer. Trimmer got on top. One finger re-modelled with airbrakes -- you know how on the jets, the little "flap" of fuselage skin opens out into the air. That's what my finger looked like -- except overlapping airbrakes on top of airbrakes. Lots of red hydraulic fluid. Put finger in the hanger, lots of soaking in warm water, and in 48 hours I poured 91% alchohol on finger and I didn't feel a thing. Totally sealed up, airbrakes healed shut!!
  21. Did you get radar okay? An old Patch made radar tga not work. Now need radar bmp. Different airplanes fly different. Over long time, you best decide for yourself what is "realistic" and then find out if the game (computer pilot flying, computer pilot tactics) can handle it. You can change things if you like. It means..."K" Base. Like you saw with Wrench, I can't spell it either, so I call it Brain Base. Its the "K" self-study help forum here. Brain Base ~> http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showforum=99 Self study ~~ Don't poast there! Read it only. Ask questions here.
  22. Last launch I saw from north florida, just after sunset. The two solid boosters fell off and they quickly burned out. Normally that would be the end of visual tracking of the boosters -- no more rocket plume. BUT THE TWO BOOSTERS still shined as they fell lower. They were reflecting western sunlight yet appeared against a darkening eastern sky. The sun was down where I was, but not at the altitude of booster seperation, even though the boosters were farther east over the ocean. As the boosters fell, they finally got low enough so the sun was below the horizon as seen from their height, and they went out of view first one, then the other shortly after -- slightly different rate of descent there. The *tiny* little plume of the shuttle liquid rocket of course was still visible continuing further away. No combat flight sim yet has modelled the spherical Earth. This is a good example of what you would see if the Devs figured out how to model the air warfare environment. Granted, in this case, not much air combat at those altitudes except maybe B-70s and MiG-25s I guess. I dunno, what altitude do the boosters pop off?
  23. Funny you poasted the Tie fighter pilot helmet. My first immediate instinct thought was the alien Admiral commanding the Rebel fleet at the end of....forgot....3rd StarWars movie, that teddy bear planet, the one where Vader throws the emperor over the rail. That helmet ... lol heeh
  24. No. This takes the sim beyond the event horizon. That stargetic thread has the information needed to learn how to apply this method, especially the first few pages. The rest is fluff. Also, there is that partially worked out example for A3D.
  25. Man good to see it. Assume radar is not for pilot eyes, so you are good to go there philosophically hehe. You should repaint the inside of the crew compartment to colour of your choice. What were B-52s of ODS era painted inside pilot compartment? If I recall, there is a small square box lower right corner on the B-52 skin NOSE bmp that maps to the inside cockpit. But that is for SF 2006-, don't know about New SF. Or, you can apply a decal to the 3D mesh that colours the inside of the crew compartment. Both methods have some advantages. Anyway, you can do some interior decorating on this one, but not much. Something besides deep black.
