    شكرا جزيلا على هذا المود

Thank You For This Mod Cheers :drinks:

My thanks to you for this post! Our intention has always been to provide as much accuracy as possible into the order of battle of both Coalition and Iraqi forces. In my view it would have been disrespectful to represent only one side of the conflict; I like to think that also the Iraqi people can remember the history of their pilots and soldiers with this mod.

The Arabic speech pack is the work of fellow @GKABS; some voice files are still missing for airports and ground units. I hope we can get some recordings in the future in order to complete it fully. Cheers! :drinks:

@PeacePuma Great job mate! Do you mind if I include this in the next iteration of the ODS 30AE mod? With due credits to you of course. The E-3D we use has a number of issues, so this E-3A with fake-pilot CFM engines should be a much better alternative.

Ok, but, I didnt asked for the patch, also, in the mod description it should say that you need 2013 patch for the mod to work.

Apart from the fact that I say it clearly in the comments section (just read a few posts above and you'll see it), it's almost obvious that only the latest patch is supported, because ThirdWire updated all of its games to the July 2013 patch. There is no way for a newcomer to play older versions, nor it's possible to make such a big mod work on all old versions of SF2 without major changes. Next time I update the mod I'll explicitly add the info to the description.

I have a very good desktop PC, but i can t manage to run this, i did everything i could but when i open the exe of the mod i see the main loading screen of the game and i instantly CTD. I don t even get to the main menu.

If it crashes instantly, then something is wrong with your installation. Most likely you may have installed the mod in the wrong path, so the executable resides in a wrong folder where there are not default Strike Fighters 2 DLLs and game files. The description in the download page makes this pretty clear.

Sadly I get a CTD once the mission puts me in the cockpit.  I managed to play for quite a while on my initial playtest but I cannot play anything, Scramble or otherwise. However, I have managed to narrow it down to: IF I do spawn (on the runway) that I only crash if I look around and see something that my computer can't handle.  Maybe a missing model or texture.

Thanks for reporting. The terrain features many third-party objects, some of which are pretty dated. There's a possibility that crashes are related to such very old 3d models casting shadows. If it's the case, a simple fix would be to remove shadow rendering from said objects (though to narrow down which ones is going to be tricky). Missing terrain 3d models and/or textures do not cause crashes to desktop, Strike Fighters 2 has shown to work in such instances.

Please try setting Shadows settings to Low and see if it improves. Apparently this issue is also system related, since some players seem not to experience the issue, while some other do. Crash logs always point to the game's graphics engine library using DirectX 10. This could be video driver related; a member of the development team experienced the issue from time to time when Nvidia drivers got updates, reinstalling them seemed to solve the CTDs on his end.

EDIT: I just reread your post. The Scramble mission uses an entirely different, smaller and low-res terrain, with little to no 3d objects on the terrain. So this should be more video driver related than anything, as mentioned above. Try to reinstall/update video drivers as well as the DirectX June 2010 redistributables from Microsoft.

I ran the installer when I mounted the iso file, but when I loaded the mod, other than the loading screen being different, it was just regular Strike Fighters 2. When I looked in the mod folder that had been created, I found that a lot of things were missing, in fact the aircraft were the only part of the mod that was there, other than the default folders like the Pilot data, controls, etc. Am I missing a part of the installation process? I have a merged Strike Fighters 2 setup with all DLCs.

Never heard of this issue before. Make sure that no third-party AV software interfere, and run the installer as admin. Make sure that all content gets saved in the "X:\Users\YourName\Saved Games\ThirdWire\OperationsDesertStorm" path. I recall few had issues in other language versions of Windows; the stuff apparently would get copied in a different Saved Games folder for no reason.

Hey there. The mod crashes on the first loading screen after I start it from the shortcut. My game is installed on HDD and the mod folder is on the system drive (SSD) if that's important. Can't find any logs to troubleshoot this so maybe someone here will help me.

The mod folder gets installed automatically on the system drive. If you run a stock game executable, I think a blank mod folder would be created in the same spot, so this shouldn't be a problem. You need all three TW games that are listed, one does not suffice. You might want to move the mod folder elsewhere and see if it changes anything, but then you'd need to fix the mod's path inside the Options.ini file manually. If you don't know how to do it, check the SF2 Knowledge Base: Running mods from a different disk partition - Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Knowledge Base - CombatACE

Wish I could help, but you gave zero details. The above post may help you understand what may be wrong with your system. I cannot see nor imagine what the situation is on your end.

Same as @citizen67 i CTD around 80%, sometimes it's happen at 40% (very rarely). Impossible to do the 2nd mission of campaign only CTD. Scamble seems to works with no problems. Solo Mission sometimes works, sometimes CTD at 80%

I meet miminum requirement. I only tested Unlimited and High settings for my part.

Then you should avoid Unlimited and use Medium to High settings. Only very high-end computers can run Unlimited without encountering CTDs. The crashes happen because you run out of memory, the campaign features the highest number of aircraft and ground units ever seen in a SF2 campaign. Nothing else we can do, the campaign data is bug free, it's all a matter of the settings and system on which you run the mod.

It's also advised to set Sound Channels to 32 instead of 16, due to higher quality sounds of the mod, but your experience may vary.

Whats is included in this update?

There is no update. Again, I just changed the page's description, but the site makes it look like the package was updated. Please don't ask again, I had already explained it here: https://combatace.com/files/file/17485-hawaii-central-pacific-1959-2028/?tab=comments#comment-12480

If there are true updates, the version number would increase and there would be a change log. Thank you.

I installed this mod, but I have come across a filed view issue. My screen is darker around the game. It is more evident in the center. Could you please help me with this issue?

That's the post processing shader. Vignetting is the effect you describe as an issue. If you don't like it, set Effects to High instead of Unlimited in the game's menu graphics options.

    OUTSTANDING Terrains!..........Bravo!:clapping:

Thanks. Real credits go to NovaLogic for creating these (it's their assets), and to gerwin for converting them to Strike Fighters' game engine. I only had the idea, saw that it was feasible to port them over to SF2, but gerwin is the one who made it happen.

Can you tell us whats the update contains?

No update. I simply updated the file description to include links to my latest mods.

I'm afraid the site shows mods as updated, while I simply tweaked file descriptions. Nothing I can do. If a true update happens, you'll see a new message from me at the Get Support topic of the mod, a new version number and relative change log.

Always thougt the Tornados had only the Desert Pink Camoulflage applied pls see the pics as the Jaguars too but it seems they their also grey Camouflage applied to the Tornados what reason so ever.

Those you showed are Tornado IDS aircraft, not the F.3/ADV variant which is proposed here. The IDS, ground attack variant, featured the desert scheme during the Gulf War; the ADV, interceptor variant, mostly flew CAP and had no reason for such camouflage.

Is it possible to know which ENVIRONMENTSYSTEM.ini and FLIGHTENGINE.ini lines are changed?

He just included the .ini of my realSKY mod, it's an exact copy, no modification. If you don't use realSKY, with that .ini you will get cloudless skies, because realSKY references different cloud textures for all kinds of weather, but he didn't include those.

The only original idea of this mod is to use night textures for buildings, but then again you'd get dark buildings in daylight. Also, this mod does not work with all terrains out of the box. It's only meant for Gepard's Formosa terrain. Other terrains use buildings with slightly different mapping, so to replace textures with those of this mod is not recommended.

several data is missing from nations.ini, causing weird events like planes starting in the same point in air and colliding.

This has nothing to do with my mod! My nations.ini file is identical to the stock one, it does not remove anything, it adds something more actually.

Any issues are related to other files not having the correct statements; you should fix the aircraft's _data.ini or other (wrongly) modded files you have.

I have no idea why people keep finding bugs with this mod. I always test my mods thouroughly before release. This package works perfectly in stock SF2 patched to the latest July 2013.
