  1. X-wings? Tie Fighters?? Jesus Ch-- Jaffa Death Gliders?!?! Seriously, Death Gliders? You've gotta be taking the p*ss with such a crappy list of feeble vehicles. This is all you need: Kills everything between the ground and orbit and then becomes the boots on the ground you need to hold your objective. Case closed. Death gliders indeed... Bahahahahahaha!
  2. So the author of No Easy Day seems like a complete jerk... if any of it is true.

      I'd say there's 10% chance it's factual, but there's only a 50% chance of that.

      So then there's a 5% chance it's factual, JM?

It just came off as a really bitter diatribe... IMHO. Dude. You're a SEAL, act like one, not like a brat having a tanty about who's in office. You work in the US's interests, not the office's. Very unprofessional.

  3. Fair call. All you have to do to see this is to fire up something like Aces High and it's huge disparity of aircraft per nation. At last count I think it was 48 US aircraft and sub-types vs 14 German and around 10 Japanese, much like how our community was say, 4-5 years ago. But that's by the by. Your T-38 was a fine example FC. Deal with it.
  4. This is a thing of beauty Spinners! Don't tease us with this!! It's a shame they had almost no air to air capacity in actual service. I know they undertook trials for the USAF with the AIM-7, but as far as I've been able to find out, they rarely, if ever carried AIM-9s. A high/low mixture of IIOs and the F-4E would have been a massive capability boost over the Mirage IIIO's barely functional AIM-9Bs and surprisingly short ranged Matra R530s and their 50/50 chance to hit from 10kms and out. Even with AIM-7Es, the Phantom would have provided an actual air defence capability in the 70s! I love it!
  5. Stoked to here they and the Macchi's will be back in the air again!
  6. I'm willing to bet it's a choice between uneventful grey and boring grey... like just about every other C-17.
  7. What have you got against our long tradition of flamboyant, Fanta themed schemes?? That ARDU Fanta scheme is boss! Least it wasn't a Passiona theme. I think I did one a long time ago, in the days before SF2. Gonna have to see if I still have in the depths of my HD somewhere...
  8. Oooooh... Shame there's no IIIOD. But still,
  9. I noticed that too. Approaching from the South West, you'd just need to lose your landmarks or fly a bit too fast and you'd be over Macdill AFB and thinking POK was MAc in no time. Could they have had time to punch it when their wheels touched or are you committed to braking at that point?
  10. So does anyone know what happened to the crew??
  11. Did anyone catch this earlier in the week? After unloading and lightening the aircraft they attempted a departure. Apparently a lot of people weren't aware of the C-17's short field capability.
  12. He wasn't even born on this planet...
  13. Helwan HA-300, one of Willy Messerschmitt's last designs. And Egypt's first (only) indigenous fighter.
  14. I think quite a few aircraft have something like HasFireExtinguisher=True, depending on the specific type and era. I don't know how effective it is or if it works at all, but more often than not, I'm using cannon, not MGs, in a gunfight. Cannons are ruthlessly efficient in the TW series make armor somewhat redundant. If you're using MGs though, you might see extinguishers come into play more effectively, assuming of course that it's working. Have a look through the engine spec in the DATA.ini of different aircraft and you see if it has that capacity. I'm pretty sure more modern multi-engine aircraft, particularly transports will have these in their engine specs.
  15. Burst amount is just the number of rounds a gun turret fire in a single burst, it's not applicable to the pilot's guns. As for incendiary, to the best of my knowledge, incendiary isn't recognised unfortunately. Someone may have figured a work around though... maybe.
  16. Okay, I'm just going to come out and say it, because it needs saying: Clint Mansell's Lux Aeterna (Summer Overture) is the most overused piece of dramatic music since 2000 and the Requiem For A Tower version used in the LOTR films is the biggest piece of self indulgent wank created from something that, before being played to death, was once beautiful...

You got something I can use to wipe this rabid foam away, E? :p

  17. SPOILER ALERT Hang on, was this the film where later on, that pilot dives into water and smacks his skull becoming a paraplegic?? If so, I still shudder thinking about the sick crunch from when he hits his head on the rock...
  18. Anyways, don't you generally remove the wings of an aircraft when you transport it? Those models at the beginning, weren't they model/RC planes made by students for the "AVIC UAV Cup"? And that photo of the aircraft being transported looks a lot like an L-15 light attack/trainer too.
  19. 6 more soon! Hmmm... I wonder how good this skin will look with Dels' AC-130J...
  20. You telling me you didn't see it coming MAKO?? SPOLIER ALERT! I thought death by cow (2:20ish) was pretty ingenious...
  21. K, these stealth schemes are fantastic. You guys going to release any of these?
