It's not that, they're in tip top condition. The US government disapproved the sale because they were uncomfortable with the idea of a private company having advanced Skyhawks with PGM capability. For the most part, they're still in excellent condition (as per the conditions of the aborted sale). They should still be in service!

You just have to remember: * weaponsdat.ini = list of weapons in sequential order * weapons editor = reads weaponsdata.ini and saves to a format read by the game * Patch your game to the latest version and download the latest version of the weaps editor for minimal issues * Remember that XXX is just a place holder number since all of our weapons lists will vary. * Read the guides in the links that FastCargo posted above as they're very good and will set you straight after about a day's practice (it'll prolly only take you about 10 mins, but you'll know it off by heart at the end of the day.) and finally... * BACK UP ANY FILES YOU ALTER BEFORE YOU MOD THEM!! I hate to think of the amount of time I wasted because I didn't make fail safes when I was learning this stuff!

EDIT: I remember seeing that Tracker launching into a wave a while ago and thinking it a goner for sure! Stunning...

I'm thinking about picking this up soon, otherwise, I figure there'll be a WOE II soon at this rate and I'll grab that one instead. What are the terrains like? Are they more cluttered like CA_Stary's mods, or do they resemble the originals in terms of content. I prefer having clutter, otherwise, it feels just a little bit lonely to me with the odd tree here and there. :yes:

To be honest, that's what completely shat me about the series from time to time. They'd come up with a great story or twist and give you the impression it would stick, only to hit the reset button at the end or the episode (or by part 2). I got dragged to this by my fiancée but really enjoyed it . But it was a lot of little changes that did it for me, things like ships meeting and NOT finding themselves meeting on the same level like on a 2D plane (plain?) (that always bugged me! B5 spcae was 3D! ), tiny things like the Fed ships having CIWS (look carefully during the first and last fights), swearing and fisticuffs. I could go on... ...and I will. The swearing and attitudes the characters had was an important step, I thought. For me, I always thought the characters in the Next Gen Movies/series' were too inoffensive and sugar coated. I'd watch how they'd react to an event and it always seemed they their responses were a little fake or manicured. Look at the way they deal with the Borg in the Series. It's supposed to be the 'ultimate' fear they've faced, but they're hardly breaking a sweat, no one loses control, no one freaks out, no one's trying to make peace, etc. That's why I dug this. The fighting, the smartarsed-ness, the quips and taunts all made it feel edgier and more realistic (behaviourally) to me. It's worth seeing for sure, but if you figure the storyline of TOS/TMP is akin to a sacred script, you'll be bugged.

You could, in theory, create multiple hardpoints. Using the Mig-21 as an example (you could use any aircraft), you could copy and paste the 5 hardpoints and rename them by adding a 1,2 etc at the end of the name: ie leftwingstation, leftwingstation2,leftwingstation3 etc, or whatever their name is. Then add the corresponding entries to the components list at the top of the Mig21_data.ini. The only issue I could see after that would be the maximum weight the aircraft could actually lift off of the ground. I'm not sure what effect this would have or if it's represented in the game (I'm reasonably sure it is.) To compensate, you could just create a copy of the sidewinder or any other weapons you wish to use and edit the specified weight of the weapon in the weapons editor. I'm at work, but I could show you an example of what I mean when I get home. Again, in theory because I haven't actually done this on purpose but have had it happen by mistake when modding aircraft, but in theory, you should see only the 5 hardpoints, each loaded with the weapons you've specified, but when you fire the weapons, the hardpoint will still be carrying that same weapon. Not exactly unlimited, but you could increase the number of weapons as you see fit... maybe. I might have missed something here. Need to get back to the lab to test it. :yes:
