  1. I cannot figure out how to send you guys some money. I'm a quick study, gimme a hint.
  2. Change that to mean I will buy a new subscription and our fearless leaders at this site can determine who to transfer it to. OK, I'm an idiot. Where is the button that takes me to contributions/subscriptions?
  3. I'd like to contribute a subscription to a worthy member of our community who is going through tough times. You can make the choice and please don't tell the member that I am the author of this. I am chipping $100 into the kitty via PayPal. Next week when I don't have a job, somebody can help me out.
  4. Fact is, none of us get out of this life alive and the timing is out of our hands. Doesn't make it any easier on those left behind. It was, indeed, good to know and play with you. RIP, Oli
  5. Wonder if a metadata field (file description field) could be added up front that indicates whether the download is for SF1 or SF2? Been known to try the wrong one in the wrong sim once or twice (slow learner). They are separated into two sections now, but it's just a thought.
  6. The French may be disappointed in the results of a Mirage 2000 / Su-30 tangle.
  7. I kinda like mannie's idea. Toss some money into the kitty and get immediate return for your investment.
  8. OK, I am moving into the 21st century. Upgraded my 32bit 2.4 Gig quad system from XP to Vista. Problem is, my WoX games don't work. I know there were some suggestions and recommendations a couple of years ago, but I cannot find them in the files. Can anybody help an old recce jock??
  9. The Thud was conceived and did well at moving dirt. Lots of glowing dirt to start with and yellow mud to end up with. The mission of the AF and Navy is to support the Army (expecting lots-o-traffic on that one), and that means moving the dirt the Army tells us to move. Air to Air is a pipedream that has little to do with the outcome of many wars (BoB being the only known exception). At the end of the day, it is who owns the dirt and that is the Army's ball game. With that in mind, the Thud, in its time, was prime in the dirt moving arena. That is what she was built as and performed in an exemplary manner. Making her an Air to Air fighting machine requires a complete overhaul, not just more thrust. She was great at what she did and she deserves more than conjecture on how she could have been a jack-of-all trades and master of none. We have old double ugly (F-4) for that.

Can you believe I flew this jet.......boy, am I getting old!
  12. Well Done!! I prefer this type of hero to some rock star strutting around on stage, grunting and screaming, and slapping his miniscule chest any day. The Taliban hates both, but fears the Captain. Who do you prefer to stand beside? Boy, this should start a firestorm..............
  13. My thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and families of the Moscow subway bombings. Terrorists know no boundries, no honor, and have no respect for human life. They all need a quick audience with Allah and I am sure they will be surprised at the reception they will receive. It is sad to see this type of action that is perceived as "fighting back". How does one come to this path??
  14. Thank you for your service and hope you enjoy every minute of your home and family. Thanks to your efforts and your service-mates, we get an opportunity to do the same. Jug
  15. Truth is guys, we all have some beauties and some that just came out from under a rock. Some look good to marry well, then go to pot. Some look the same no matter what. Some open their mouths and run you away and some open their arms and invite you to stay. I have been to several countries besides my own (including Britain) and have met all flavors. A life of recon is good ...........
  16. This one is a late picture of the U-2 motoring around Beale AFB, CA, in a nice sunset. The longing never ends............
  17. Bob, Thank you for your service and for your interview with CA. Good stuff for the new guys and a bucket full of memories for the older guys (me). I was a recce puke and bomber driver, but am enjoying learning how to move little piles of dirt around here with the trusty old "Hun". Must have been fun to fly for real, because it is fun to fly in this sim. My dirt moving days were limited to big piles and the intent was to leave the big piles radioactive, so we didn't ever drop anything for real (thank God). Jug
  18. has not set their status

  19. Only that I'm a mister now. Haven't been a Colonel for years now...... Bye the way, I can tell an F-16 driver how to fly his jet (pull on the stick and the houses get smaller, push on the stick and the houses get bigger, push on the stick and the go-faster lever and the houses get bigger faster). However, you know that you cannot tell a F-16 jock much since they are the Masters of the Universe............. Jug
  20. Thank you. Nice film.
  21. Don't mind being called out on a false positive. Sorry. Thought it best to check it out though.
  22. My Norton anti-virus goes nuts and declares a trojan virus is being downloaded whenever I attempt to download the new BTR-80 files. Suggest this be checked prior to leaving up for all to get.
  23. Hey, I'm a sim pilot and by FC's definition, not cool.
