  1. If you're seeking ugly planes, I mean... very UGLY planes... So much ugly that your eyes might burn... just have a look at french 1930's bombers. Or "how one took busses and put wings and fixed wheels and machines guns and send them in the air". http://www.fortunecity.com/tattooine/farmer/120/amiot.jpg By the way, some flew combat missions, by day, during the 1940 battle of France with the ones still in service. Courageous indeed...
  2. I'm a bit bothered by the Black St Andrew cross on the tail. Following Civil War, post-WW2 and post Franco style, shouldn't it be horizontal? Just like here: http://www.3973cds.com/base-05IMG015.jpg Btw, I am not spanish and not used at all with Spanish markings, so it's just a thought I had seeing the cross. I'm just probably plainly wrong.
  3. No pblm. More work and IRL issues than planned, sorry. Tonight, or this WE!
  4. Looks awesome! Especially the nowadays Serbian skin.
  5. Got your MP. I started an answer, but it's quite late here and I feel my english-language efficiency sinking (searching for words, even more "french style sentence" than usual)... So expect a full answer tomorrow!
  6. Feel free, Pfunk! I really don't see how you can offend me, my friend. As a french, and as a french that studied politics, internal relations and history, I listened (hey, those guys were making stuff exploding in the 90's in Paris!) and read about what was going on there. But I'm by no way an expert on Algerian history. I'll do my best to help you.
  7. Sorry for you guy. But that's cool for me, as I was tempted by FE since months! By the way, does this mean another expansion will be out?
  8. Good news, there are at least some reactions. But: - will the number of ships be enough? Most analysts are today saying that with the resurgence of Piracy, we are facing the limits of High-tech but not numerous (at least in EU's Navies) ships and that numbers are part of the solution. -As stated by another: Rules of engagment. I'm afraid, knowing the usual sissiness of European politics that they will be awfully inappropriates.
  9. .
  10. I've quite liked the first one with Brosnan (what the frak was the name? Goldenthing... Gold Member, it's Austin Power, right? ), but I think it was especially the video game on Nintendo 64 that I loved. The one with Sophie Marceau was quite crappy, and the one with the stealth boat... watchable, but not so great. I'vn't seen the one set in North Korea yet.
  11. You got a point... Actually, I don't want a slow down of the show. I would like it to stop, and them making something new. I just can't help associating Bond movies with the 60's-70's, fighting Spectre or some Super vilain or rogue commie. Now, when I heard "come along, we'll watch the new James Bond", I'm just "Seriously, another one again? It's the same thing rehashed." Soon, there will be more James Bond movies than TNG Star Trek episodes. Actually, I'm not saying that those film suck (indeed, some recent ones with Brosnan were quite cool), and I'm enjoying them quite correctly when they are broadcoasting in TV, but cinema... I would just fell fooled just like "d'oh, they got me again!".
  12. Well, at that time, it was not like it had been some 20 James Bond behind, only ten... I mean, I've got the feeling those guys are no more telling me stories, but just wanting my money: "hey, let's make another James bond!"
  13. I guess it depends on how one is understanding the whole serie... For those who read the books, it might be quite faithful. I personnaly think that all good things must end. Now it's something like 1 james bond per year? I think it's quite too much, especially since I'm fond of the 60's and 70's ones. Past those ones...
  14. Frak... I loved his books so much When as a youngling I was deep in Dinosaurs Era. May God grant him peace.
  15. Nope, TK's games that I've bought in french stores (that is SFP1 and WoV) do have the english speak. By the way, I don't know if French AdlA uses english or french in operations.
  16. Congratulations!
  17. Wa aleikum as-salam wa Rahmatou'lahi wa Barakatou. BTW, that's arabic, not french... Im the latest, not arabic. All right, so you're heading toward an Algerian civil war scenario, based on the 1991 election. That's quite a good idea, very original one indeed. Reminds me of the good old Fighter Anthology Egypt scenario, with the take over of the government by bearded guys and the remnants fighting alongside the West in the Sinaï. I'm a little bit sceptical about the Libyan involvment thing, as Qaddafi and islamists are mortal ennemies. So, Libya backing those guys is doubtful in my mind, especially since Qaddafi was almost overthrown by an islamist-backed coup in 1993 and that he had to face a quite severe islamist guerilla in the eastern part of Libya until the mid 90's (at that time... well... he had killed them all...). You could perhaps start with Algerian Civil war, followed by Qaddafi's successful overthrow in this timeline. Thus, Algerian islamic state and Libyan one would be allied against Tunisia, and perhaps against some survivalists from Algerian government and Libyan one, supporting evil things against Tunisia. And here comes our war.
  18. Combat operations in Algeria were mostly COINS ones (it was indeed not a war, but a struggle against a rebellion). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_th....281954-1962.29 Some détails there. BTW, France had some... words... with Tunisia in 1961, there was some air raids and stuffs.
  19. Are you speaking of a pre-1918 scenario? 'cause after that, in terms of military capability, our country suddendly experienced a sort of total loss. By the way, some campaign with Ouragan, mysteres, super mystere would be sweet indeed. What do you have in mind?
  20. I'm more "anticipating", usually, while I'm still clear enough, I like to drink water in between alcohols, in order to limit the said deshydratation. And on the morning... uh... at noon, shower and water, but no "magical potion".
  21. Gosh... Bombing hot dog stands. There is a code of Honor in war, by Jingo! Don't thread on food! 'specially tasty one...
  22. Indeed...
  23. 25 years indeed since what is usually called here "The Drakkar attack", since it was the name of the place were french troops were. 58 soldiers, mostly conscripts, were killed. Since that no more conscripts were sent otherseas. As usual in France, nobody cares in the media, only 3 stories in Papers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYcIsXm9Mt0...feature=related Here's what's now a traditionnal song of the french airborn troops, about these events in Lebanon (with pics). S! to them and to the US soldiers who fell at the same time.
