  1. Congratulations!
  2. Wa aleikum as-salam wa Rahmatou'lahi wa Barakatou. BTW, that's arabic, not french... Im the latest, not arabic. All right, so you're heading toward an Algerian civil war scenario, based on the 1991 election. That's quite a good idea, very original one indeed. Reminds me of the good old Fighter Anthology Egypt scenario, with the take over of the government by bearded guys and the remnants fighting alongside the West in the Sinaï. I'm a little bit sceptical about the Libyan involvment thing, as Qaddafi and islamists are mortal ennemies. So, Libya backing those guys is doubtful in my mind, especially since Qaddafi was almost overthrown by an islamist-backed coup in 1993 and that he had to face a quite severe islamist guerilla in the eastern part of Libya until the mid 90's (at that time... well... he had killed them all...). You could perhaps start with Algerian Civil war, followed by Qaddafi's successful overthrow in this timeline. Thus, Algerian islamic state and Libyan one would be allied against Tunisia, and perhaps against some survivalists from Algerian government and Libyan one, supporting evil things against Tunisia. And here comes our war.
  3. Combat operations in Algeria were mostly COINS ones (it was indeed not a war, but a struggle against a rebellion). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_th....281954-1962.29 Some détails there. BTW, France had some... words... with Tunisia in 1961, there was some air raids and stuffs.
  4. Are you speaking of a pre-1918 scenario? 'cause after that, in terms of military capability, our country suddendly experienced a sort of total loss. By the way, some campaign with Ouragan, mysteres, super mystere would be sweet indeed. What do you have in mind?
  5. I'm more "anticipating", usually, while I'm still clear enough, I like to drink water in between alcohols, in order to limit the said deshydratation. And on the morning... uh... at noon, shower and water, but no "magical potion".
  6. Gosh... Bombing hot dog stands. There is a code of Honor in war, by Jingo! Don't thread on food! 'specially tasty one...
  7. Indeed...
  8. 25 years indeed since what is usually called here "The Drakkar attack", since it was the name of the place were french troops were. 58 soldiers, mostly conscripts, were killed. Since that no more conscripts were sent otherseas. As usual in France, nobody cares in the media, only 3 stories in Papers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYcIsXm9Mt0...feature=related Here's what's now a traditionnal song of the french airborn troops, about these events in Lebanon (with pics). S! to them and to the US soldiers who fell at the same time.
  9. This might be the real proof of glory, at least major success: a mod requiring a new machine, having its own hardware requirements. You guys are astonishing! 4GB, JSF, Dave, Wrench and such in a project... and so much involved, up into putting money! It can only be great. What this mods is going to be is just why I love TK's sims and what I love this community: great men doing marvellous jobs. My only fear, since Dave's message is to be unable to run it, "because" of the said awesomeness.
  10. AFAIK, Nighthawk isn't finished yet and won't be in, until some update pack. But the mod's staff might know more about it.
  11. Here start I. The fleet is spotted! The rat-tag fleet is sent away, condition one is set and Vipers are launched! And the fun begins...
  12. BTW, will this campaign be updated by someone using the soon to be new terrain and sept. patch? Would be great!
  13. I'm in an "Iran-Iraq mood", reading a lot about it since a few days, and hoping for a brand new Iran-Iraq war campaign for WoX. I found by the way these rather instructive movies on youtube: http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=IljH18KJclI&NR=1 Here's a quite good documentary with a lot of interesting footages. And here's what seems to my ears as Iraqui propaganda, quite interesting too for some footages, including planes, and for the... inaccuracies and omissions.
  14. Yeah, I agree with the fact that it deals with terrible events, but without the usual israel-bashing we are used to hear here. But even more, I was just "wow" because of the so realistic animation and depiction of war and soldier life.
  15. Great movie. By jingo, I MUST see it again!
  16. "Column5 is not as forgiving as I am."
  17. Would be sweet... French Aéronavale, Royal Navy, US Navy and of course our South European friends shooting down Soviet and their bulgarian and Romanian allies.
  18. IMHO, all the fun in WWE comes from all that scenarized stuff.
  19. I've been wondering if there is some WWE watchers here, at combatace. I'm a recent convert. My best friend uses to watch WWE since when it was WWF and when we were both in primary school, that drove us back to the early 90's. In high school he still watched it, and still nowadays, decades after. And he managed, last year, in converting me, at last! Actually, Wrestling is becoming ultra-fashionable among geeks here, after two decades in the shadows, in France, and I'm just another victim. So I want to know if there is some pal, here, who watch WWE too.
  20. He hadn't been found yet. And there will be no more SAR. "Honneur, Patrie, Valeur, Discipline" (“Honour, Homeland, Valour, Discipline”)
  21. There were 2 or 3 attempts. Pfunkmusik's got a quite advanced-stage of campaign, but I don't know if he's still working on it...
  22. Horrible story, remind me of this kid. Oh, and Silver, so you got Supernanny too in Brasil?!
