Start -> run (search) then type dxdiag.exe and save the output - should give some useful info. If your setup can run this game its likely to be graphics drivers need updating or a config issue.

hmm well even if you assume its jets only - according to the great wiki - USAF pilot Joseph McConnell has 16 x MiG-15 claims Giora Epstein claimed 16 Jets and 1 x Mi-8 - so that's more a joint world record you could say.....based on dubious claims that you could never verify anyway.........

Ha - I suppose that figure might hold post Korean War.

Amazing - points for noticing the Su-15!

5 stars just for doing a terrain I think -
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-22298359 Press reports: Israel says the latest aircraft was detected and monitored while still over Lebanon, and it was shot down by an air-to-air missile fired from an Israeli F-16 fighter jet, at an altitude of about 6,000ft (1,800 m)

"I betcha I speak for a lot of Americans when I say I want to go over there right now and start teaching those folks a lesson. And let's not stop at the Czech Republic, let's go after all Arab countries" I'm guessing its not the most high profile news outlet

DCS MiG-21bis has met its funding goal!
MigBuster replied to streakeagle's topic in General Discussion
The Uber MiG-17/19s only came about ~2008 - and later they gained better all round vision. Before that they were cannon fodder for anything - so TK probably got a lot of complaints that the AI were not a challenge - and because its a 'game' people got what they want. But it is nice to have challenge. -
Just proves that being nice to people doesn't guarantee to change their underlying agendas I guess.......

Yes - If you are like me and run games at earlier patch versions.

OK see what you are saying now You might have to do a patch dance like I did when I reinstalled - think i needed about 5 patches in total

Some of the older third party ones you might be able to http://combatace.com/topic/43234-how-to-make-a-sf2-aircraftweapon-useable-in-gen-1-thirdwire-sims/
-
That was quick - full images and information claiming to be from their social networking sites also on the BBC. Did these guys just go home as if nothing had happened? - maybe they didn't realise the extent of the camera coverage
-
But real MiGs at least :) (if CGI counts)
-
http://combatace.com...thirdwire-sims/ btw you will probably need to port the avionics from the Gen 1 F-14s because the coding wont exist in SF1 for the F-14 TWS mode etc
-
Useful for gamers I expect...... might take some getting used to being walleyed
