The only version of Strike Fighters officially supported for Windows 10 will be released after May 2020: Some people might have SF Project 1 running on Win 10 - however if something breaks the game there is little you can do................ so in the long run best to get the newer version that is supported on Windows 10...............that is the best advice I can give you.- 16 replies

Technically Strike Fighters Project 1 and the rest of the first series were for Windows XP (and some earlier versions of Windows only) and are NOT SUPPORTED on Win 7 or later. What version of Windows do you run now? - the easiest thing would probably be to buy a version supported on your OS - I have never tried that version on Win 10 myself.- 16 replies

It is basically SF3 guys....just no where near as good as you dreamed........but feel free to prove me wrong TK.

I can't fault Thirdwire here considering the money and time he has to invest in this. He is a one man business so I would hope that he is paid something for that work The Kickstarter (or whatever) for this was no where near but he is still giving it away to those very few that wanted it to go on. To make SF2 a viable ongoing business stream from now it needs some very visible major changes of which I doubt we will see.

SF2 has never been supported on Windows 10 despite it running okay for most people. Patches and updates in the past have killed it on occasion so this would mean TK has to fix it if it stops working and do Windows support again . (to be clear that would only be the new Win 10 edition he would fix not the old one) There might be game changes - possibly minimum maybe some kind of Gfx update to use DX12......will have to wait and see.

It can be cause by another program running in the background especially security software. Try turning off all Games bar in the Games mode settings the WIn 10 settings right click on the shortcut or exe and click "disable full screen optimisations", also try "Run this program as administrator" Also I don't install any games under program files these days - are all on another drive - not sure if this matters anymore

Thank you for your passion and support 2020 and Beyond Trailer Aircraft, terrains and carrier operations Everyone at Eagle Dynamics is working hard to make the start of this decade one to remember. While 2019 was a monumental year for DCS. We have more exciting things in store for 2020. This includes new aircraft such as the P-47 Thunderbolt, Mosquito, Mi-24P Hind, as well as the continued development of the F/A-18C Hornet and F-16C Viper including air-to-ground radar, Forward-Looking Infrared (FLIR) sensors and enhanced missile dynamics and behaviour. We will also see detailed aircraft carrier operations with DCS: Supercarrier, and new maps like the free Marianas Islands map and The Channel map. We will also be releasing updates to the A-10C Warthog and Ka-50 Black Shark (including a free cockpit update coming very soon). Most of the Eagle Dynamics team will be focused on DCS World core to improve performance, lighting, and weather. We will also launch our new damage modelling engine which initially will be for the WWII aircraft. The team is also working hard to improve airfield air traffic control, more life-like AI, new AI units, and a dynamic campaign system. Our 3rd party partners will also be hard at work in 2020 with the F-15E Strike Eagle, MiG-23 Flogger, OH-58 Kiowa Warrior, Syria and Falkland Islands maps, and more.
