soo... I made some progress, in fact found a solution to the issues I have had -I had tiny leftovers dlls from Sweet FX DirectX plugin in my main installation folder (not the mod installation one, but game core one) that was causing the CTDs with this mod, I think case solved, sorry for yesterdays bitching, I was pissed after few hours of battling with it- 32 replies

ok, I nailed it it's one of the MENU folder items, my bet is on one of .ini files, I renamed MENU to xMENU and it works so far, now if I could narrow it to which .ini causes that... and now I recollect I had the very same issue on older system with one of yours Modern Warfare installs I think it was Korea- 32 replies

also don't forget I did PFU cockpit too! it's over 11 GB, so it's all there, structure is ok so I honestly have no idea what causes that CTD- 32 replies

also browsing the installation I found out that Mig-15 has older version of the cockpit... tell me what's the point of not including the updated one? generally Spectre8750 I suggest you test your full-pack installations better before uploading in the future- 32 replies

Spectre8750, sorry but I think I wasted few hours trying to make it working, it just CTDs after the splash screen, installed as per readme, I'm at loss everything other works flawlessly on my system: W7 64 bit, 8 GB ram, GF 560Ti, up to date drivers etc, any other sf install works, this one refuses to launch- 32 replies

that's good actually for those like me... will see how it turn out

some older shots from previous, mainly PTO install (planes from CA, A-Team and some from RS phase 1) and interestig pic for historical purposes, the never released slightly different version of Okinawa terrain tileset

I meant the OFP DR uses theirs (Codemasters) own engine from that car racing title I can't recollect the name, adopted for warfare simulation. I think Red River engine is a evolution of it. Arma series uses their (BiS) own Virtual Reality engine since first Flashpoint, as it evolved through the years. Arma3 will be moddable, and as a side note I'll add there were some neat tweaks to OFP Dragon Rising made after the official patching stopped, making the gameplay much better with conquer the island singleplayer modes etc, been few years though since I played it. Haven't checked on Red River moddability

Noisenormal and Waternormal question?
Stary replied to AGOSTINO's topic in Mods & Skinning Discussion
thus as Kevin wrote only the one named "noisenormal.bmp" is used in sim to add close view noise bumpmap -
exactly my and my GFs observations, he looks somehow friendly and humble, I kinda like him

good idea, we all have some great shots but with the other screenshots thread.. it's too hard to track them
-
great you still had it Brain32! yes it's old development test from 2009 that was mentioned to be used in then old Korea mod from several years ago, then it was abandoned, maybe someone will have some use of it

I think not, should work with Dx9 without problems you can try this: open GermanyCE_data.ini and disable all the shaders pointers in the file (make a copy first!!!)

Noisenormal and Waternormal question?
Stary replied to AGOSTINO's topic in Mods & Skinning Discussion
