  1. different engines TH, as being currently far from Thinrdwire titles (sad panda) downloading and will give it a try
  2. my grandfather (born in 1896 in then Russian Empire) saw effects of Tunguska as a kid, the sky was uplit for two days, I was allways fascinated by that story and event
  3. why? These are standard terrain objects, am I right? not that it's any way a showstopper, GREAT it's finally going to be available again Kev! thanks for all your work
  4. very good work guys, like the Kiwi one the most
  5. yet dome type better represents actual atmosphere curvature titles like Il2 and CFS3 use skybox too to render the upper level clouds, would be neat to have, the only way we can have similar effect is cirrus sky by Lexx, but I can't say I tested it ever in Gen2 titles as a non iOs user I have a question, is it me or the Apple version has slightly higher resolution skins and more complex models? Might be due to fact of the iWhatever_the_catchy_name have more or less set hardware specs opposed to android devices which range vastly?
  6. clearly he's updating the store with Exp3 ok, jokes aside The Man can do such thing out of the blue as he used to
  7. and Rotos flight sims in new update got 3D cockpits instead of previously 2D ones... good luck then if you know what I mean nope, as great as Polak's horizon clouds were we have no real sky box; SF series sky has untextured dome (that I tried to put texture onto manipulating shaders /in series2/) while SF for mobiles uses Unity engine that has good old skybox (literally box a'la Quake2 times)
  8. RAAF Mirages are the one I play the most of any DLC, next to RAAF A-4 one
  9. bottom ones, really? As Dels says aerodynamically the upper ones... A-4 with humps on the back is the right A-4
  10. materials are standard, shader basic parameter is set as blinn? Dont use any other type than blinn, it'll mess thing up propably... but it looks like GPU artifacts to be honest
  11. (more or less) complex controls works pretty well in Air Navy Fighter / F-18 Carrier Landing, even on my small screen phone edit: to be fair ANF/F-18 are much less arcadey in feel and operations than SFA
  12. sad... good the flyer is ok though
  13. today I'm going to but Vector Thrust from Desura... will have something else budget to compare
  14. hypothetical WW2 title would require building the assets from scratch (sans P-51D and late Griffon Spitfires, I think it could be late period a'la WW2 Fighters Ardennes) while Korea would not -if for example TK would decide to go fictional later 50s scenario; if optimized and enhanced the new terrain engine would suit the Korea theatre better... but I've been saing this over and over again so pardon me gents, I go back to my cave short answer: nope long answer: DanW lurks here from time to time to hear vox populi
  15. busy in real life, sorry no SF2 related work in next two weeks (literally)!

  16. from my experience going very high texture resolution on ground objects and cockpits isn't any good as then any setting apart from unlimited makes massacre to the texture in terms of scaling down as shown above
  17. ArturR's point is valid in also this sense that anyone who is anyhow into war planes knows what MiGs are but not certainly knows about Lightnings, TBH such was my case when I switched from Luftwaffe to cold war jets era
  18. if that would help Thirdwire make better situation and better final product, surely I would, for free
