  1. View File SF2 EF-10B_CAF UpdatePack SF2 EF-10B_CAF UpdatePack v1.0 ============================== *** Tested in full 5-merged installation *** This is an Update for: SF2 F3D-2/EF-10B Skyknight by Coyote Aerospace 1.0.0 and you will need to download and install it first. The UpdatePack includes 2 parts: 1. Skins-only ------------- 4 new skins in 4k (resize to your liking if needed) for the EF-10B-variant that comes with the original-mod by CAF: VMCJ-1 Golden Hawks, Da Nang AB, ca. 1966 (6 planes*) VMCJ-1 Golden Hawks, Da Nang AB, 1969 (6 planes*) VMCJ-2 Playboys, MCAS CHerry Point, 1959 (6 planes) VMCJ-3, MCAS El Toro, ca. 1957 (9 planes) * VMCJ-squadrons were composite-squadrons, that means, that they used a mix of different planes. Usually these were RF-8 Crusaders, RF-4B Phantoms and later EA-6A Electric Intruders. So VMCJ-1, when based in Da Nang AB, had only 6 EF-10Bs. BuNos are correct for the planes and squadrons and mostly for the given timeframe. 2. Optional Files ----------------- My take on a rework of the EF-10B-variant, that comes with the original-mod by CAF. The mapping of the model was challenging, so some areas on the skins are as is. I also did some new 3D-parts to add more details and get rid of mapping issues (new pylons, new droptanks, some antennas). By default the Antenna-set for the standard-EF-10B, called "Whale", is selected. By 1967 some planes where upgraded to the "Super Whale"-variant by adding different antennas and upgrading some electronics. You can select the version you like in the loadout-menu. Unpacking and installation: =========================== !!! IMPORTANT !!! !!! Backup your EF-10B_CAF planefolder! !!! 1. Skins only-Installation -------------------------- 1. Unpack ALL zip-files to a temporary directory 2. open "Put_Contents_In_Your_MOD_Folder" from the temporary folder and copy the contents you want to your MOD-Folder, which should contain the original EF-10B-mod by CAF! 3. Thats it! 2. Skins + optional Files ------------------------- 1. Unpack ALL zip-files to a temporary directory 2. open "Put_Contents_In_Your_MOD_Folder" from the temporary folder and copy the contents you want to your MOD-Folder, which should contain the original EF-10B-mod by CAF! 3. open "Optional Files" from the temporary folder and copy the contents you want to your MOD-Folder, which should contain the original EF-10B-mod by CAF! 3. if asked to overwrite, say 'yes' (EF10B_data.ini, F3D_userlist.ini and EF10B_loadout.ini WILL be overwritten) 4. Thats it! Credits ======= - Coyote Aerospace (CAF), Wrench, AngelP - Mod-Pack this is based upon. - me - template, skins, decals, ini- and 3D-work of tanks, antennas, pylons P.S. ==== This MOD or parts of it may not be included in any PAYWARE-packs, PAYWARE-mods or whatever. It is free! If you use the MOD or parts of it, you should give proper credits. 3. End of the Line - EF-10B Super Whale Last upgrade to the EF-10B. Visible differences to the regular EF-10B were the Wireantenna and the steerable antenna between the Exhaustpipes.
  4. Citing Osprey Combat Aircraft 143's closing line... "...for an aircraft, that is arguably the most unsung hero of its two major wars." For some reason this one has a special place in my heart, so I had to polish it a bit. Thanks to CAF for the model.
  5. For me personally it's not about giving hate. I know, that being a bit more chill probably would have made things easier. What can I say... It was a mix of confusion, little knowledge on my side how to handle reappearing files correctly and the feel, that I was misunderstood on what my issue was. Nevertheless, I am sorted. Thanks to all involved for clearing things up and sorting things out.
  6. The point is, that I am NOT seeing them after I was hiding them. That was the reason, I reuploaded some of my stuff a while ago, because I had NOT seen them anywhere. To my surpise A LOT of the hidden stuff was up again lately. A-4- and A-1-templates were now twice in the download-section and the templates for the old OV-10-model and Kuwait-A-4 should simply be gone, because my decision. If that lead to confusion, I am sorry. P.S. My trust here is a bit shattered, so yeah...
  7. These should be removed. First ones are outdated, templates are twice in the downloadsection and the last ones should be simply removed. 8. Hi there, I had a look at my released mods and some of them are outdated and already remade in better quality or are not useful anymore. I haven't found something to simply delete my old stuff. Do I miss something? I have used the "hide"-function in the past, as this was the closest I could find, but lately the hidden stuff reappeared without any notification...
  9. Hey GSantini, thank you very much for this update. I always thought about your dad and what might have happened to him. I still have the old conversations with him here, were he gave me valueable advice about my A-4M-mod. And it encouraged me as a little noone, that one of the "big names" around here, liked and supported my work. But after some time, he wasn't around anymore. I will remember him well! RIP 331Killerbee
  10. My first flight in over a year - The mission was pure chaos and I mourn the loss of my wingman. While attacking a lonely radarstation in the middle of nowhere, he got hit by an also lonely AAA nearby. Nevertheless I then made it back on the boat...not the right boat, but well, the plane is in pristine condition! It was fun! Also I made some of the missing skins....we'll see, how it evolves. *shrug*
  11. Hi there, long time no see. I hope you're well. I just wanted to post a screenshot, but obviously my subscription expired some time ago. The thing that confuses me is that I can only select either to renew my former premier-membership or switch to the more expensive platinum-membership. Is there a reason, why I can't select the smaller ones or do I miss something? I tried another browser, but with the same result. Thanks in advance.
  12. Ignore me. I just tried to help, because I thought, you got a problem with my mod. But obviously you used another.
  13. Ok I had a look at my pack. With it comes an A-4M, A-4M_75, A-4M_79 and A-4M_82. So no A-4M_78 in there. I thought it was mine, because I removed the stockpylons in the ini and made new ones as fakepilots and I was under the impression, that other A-4M-mods always used the stockpylons. May it be, that you combined part from my pack and maybe one from dtmdragon somehow? The skin from your first screenshot seems a bit to be from the pack I posted.
  14. Hey, as Wrench said, you are obviously missing half the addon-stuff from the original mod-pack. You should redownload the whole A-4M-package from the download-section und reinstall everything, thats included. You're missing the pylons (and probably other stuff too) because I remade them on this pack to include missile-rails, that the stock-model was missing. Those are either in the pilots-folder or in the weaponsfolder. Just reinstall everything from the pack and you should be fine. I'll add the link to the pack later, when I'm on a PC. Edit: Here you go. Seeing it brings back good memories. Shoutout to 331Killerbee and Dan (dtmdragon) for helping with infos and their own mods!
  15. The A-4C Skyhawk has a working Windscreenwiper... Although you have to spam the button if you want more than 1 cycle.
  16. The Ram VA-66 Waldos from 1968 And a comparison original source vs. repaint. I used a pencil for the first time, rather than a mouse, which was fun and made it easier.
  17. I may give a fakepilot a try, if noone else will. I would need the files though and infos on what you actually need.
  18. Not bad...that's some real dedication. If you like to have some more realistic skins for VA-12, have a look at my Vietnam Scooters. Both of their Vietnam-deployments are already covered. Interesting thing about VA-12 was, that they went back to A-4C from A-4E on there 2nd deployment. It's one of very few of such cases. Have fun with SF2! 1st one from 1966 2nd one from 1970.
  19. Thanks alot! It was Nr. 1. I never noticed, that for internal cannons it's "MaxAmmo", but for the Gunpod in needs to be called "MaxRounds". You never stop learning. Now it's working as intended! Thanks to all involved!
  20. Hey guys, thanks for your advices! I changed all inis according to your input. I didn't know about the Lightning-gunpack...very interesting. Earlier I only had a look at Harriers and MiG-21PFMs, but their gunpacks are fixed on the stockmodels. The guns are now selectable in the loadoutmenu and show up on the plane, only when selected. Thats the good news. Unfortunately I cannot figure out, why the guns won't fire anymore... The gun itself (20MM_MK12) works fine on other planes, other gunpods on my plane (A-4G_67) also fire as expected, but the gun-mod doesn't. I compared all inis to other planes, gunpods, guns, etc. but I still don't understand, what the problem is. That's what I have right now:
  21. Hi there, sorry for coming up with stuff, that probably has been done all the time, but right now I'm to stupid, to find the solution. Here's the situation: I use a stock planemodel which has cannons built into the model (nodes are Gun_Left and Gun_Right). What do I have to change/create to have those guns as optional armament (some sort of gunpod would be nice, but setup as droptank would be ok too), showing up on the model only when I select them in the loadout menu. In the end I think it has to work similar to the built-in droptank mechanic. Obviously I'm a bit rusted - I tried some things, but the guns always show up - selected or not. Here are the relevant parts of the 3 files: Thanks in advance for your help!
  22. I guess timeframe would be between 1994 and 1996. VF-31 was part of CVW-14 (tailcode NK) on USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) as second squadron (modex 2xx, 207 in your case) in that timeframe. Though I haven't found a single picture of this...not even yours with regular search and reverse-search. *shrug*
