  1. Thank you for not forgetting the orthodox using the 1st Gens. ))
  2. The question is removed. It was a really stupid question. Earlier, when I was trying to create ini-files for your pilots, I took as a basis the appropriate stock pilots files. I just replaced the corresponding names of the files to GerHelmetPilot or FrHelmetPilot : [LOD001] Filename=wwiPilotNew1.lod <----------Changed to GerHelmetPilot.lod Distance=50 MinObjectDistance=0.1 MaxObjectDistance=300.0 [LOD002] <------------------------------------Removed this entry Filename=wwiPilotNew_LOD2.lod Distance=150 [shadow] CastShadow=TRUE ShadowCastDist=10000 MaxVisibleDistance=50 <----------------!!! In accordance with the distance to the object, it seemed to me But when you switch to the external view, the distance to the object is more than 50 meters! Accordingly, the shadows were not cast. Now I wonder why I did not notice this before! Stupidity or inattention - that's the question! Indeed, in the directory GerHelmetPilot > FE2 there is a file with such data: [LOD001] Filename = GerHelmetPilot.lod Distance = 5000 [shadow] CastShadow = TRUE ShadowCastDist = 1000 MaxVisibleDistance = 150 (Until that moment, I didn't go in the FE2 folder of your download, because I use FE1) I'm sorry to trouble you!
  3. Hi, Steve! Yes, everything is as described by Wrench. I just have nothing to add to his words.
  4. Well, try it. At the moment, we have only two or three man who create something for the WWI. True, there is also Capun, but he's a terrible miser ...
  5. As far as I know, that particular author has long since left the modding scene. It is unlikely that he will make any claims about the use of his model ... I believe it would be preferable if you would convert some models from WOFF to FE. The Halberstadt D.II, for example.
  6. And yet, when looking from the cockpit, the observer is not visible. The front pit seems empty, and only when you switch to external views your colleague appears )) By the way, do you know how to make the pilots cast a shadow? Now they are like vampires with no shadows. At that, the gunner has a shadow, because he is a part of the airplane... Actually, for stock pilots, it's enough to make an appropriate entry in the .ini file. For example: [shadow] CastShadow=TRUE ShadowCastDist=1000 MaxVisibleDistance=500 But the pilots made by Stephen seem to have no .ini files ...
  7. Ah, there it is! I understood. Thanks!
  8. Huh ... Even after installing this update, the S-199 model has problems with a shadow. It has a gray line from the aircraft down to the ground. That is, the CastShadow parameter must be set to FALSE, which is not at all good.
  9. Indeed? Strange, I did not succeed... In that case, why is it everywhere written that in the games of TW series the gunner is part of the aircraft mesh, so you can not just take it and replace it with something else??? I admit that my knowledge was not enough... but I'm glad that I was wrong.
  10. Well, I'm not the biggest expert at here. Nevertheless, I think that I'll be right if I say that with the help of tricks you can only make the "invisible gunner" (somewhere on the forum described how to do it). However, in order to remove the gunner's figure and replace it with unarmed observer, you NEED to make changes to the lods. Just wait to Stephen to get to them, if he wants... But after making changes to the ini files, you can achieve that gunner learns to drop bombs -- of course, without letting go of the rifle. )))
  11. No, I did not forget. )) Just I read your PM only today. And now I tried a new TGA file in the game... Yeah, now it looks pretty good. Thank you, I believe that a solution has been found.
  12. It was less a correction, more then an addition. But of course you are true.
  13. Are the skins fictional or actual?
  14. Follow this link : http://combatace.com/forum/268-thirdwire-strike-fighters-2-series-knowledge-base/ Hope this helps...
  15. I tried it. That is some exellent work! It looks great, and I don't have any problem with that stuff at all. Thank alot!
  16. Many thanks to you for the answer (for the model - a special thanks). Any ideas how to "darken" the interior of the cabin when viewed from the outside? You'll understand what I mean if you switch to external views.
  17. You're absolutely right. The gunner figures are actually added in 3DS Max as components of the model. To use the new gunner Stephen would need to redo the original mesh.
  18. Make Tu-160M, please! ))

    OV-10A Bronco SF2

Sadly, there is a very unpleasant error. At certain angles, thin gray lines appear, stretching from the aircraft down to the ground, where its shadow is projected. There are holes in the 3d-skeleton of the aircraft - leakage of the shadows thru edges open on a mesh. So when a shadow is generated behind the model, glitches begin. It's very annoying as looking at the planes. Thus, the model needs repair in 3D Max.
