    1. Walter Boning Jasta 76B

This skin depicts the camo and markings on Albatros D.Va flown by Leutnant Walter Böning commanding Royal Bavarian Jasta 76b in October 1917. After scoring a total of 17 victories, while flying an Albatross with different markings on 31 May 1918, he collided with another member of his squadron and was then attacked and wounded by 70 Sq RAF. He managed to land safely but never flew in combat again.

There is some uncertainty regarding the details. The result you see is entirely my own, and my time machine is no longer operational. This is an interpretation, a well-grounded interpretation, but certainly a mix of accuracy and flaws.

There are no decals for this skin set.

      Enjoy.

    2. Bristol Scouts C, C1, D, D1 skin pack

This is a skin pack for the Bristol Scout models C1, C, D1, D.

Thanks to Capun1950 for permission to use the skin template. And thanks to the entire SFP1 A-Team for providing the Bristol Scout models models.

These skins and decals were created by quack74. Not for profit nor intent to sell. Only as a download for those who are registered at SFP1 A-Teams Skunkworks site,(http://cplengineeringllc.com/SFP1/) and have downloaded the Bristol Scout models.

These Bristol Scouts are from early 1916 to early 1917.

The folder names pretty much explain the squadron names. I dont know any other info on Scout squadrons and their markings.

    5. Pfalz D.III And D.IIIa of Jasta 4

This is a Jasta 4 skin pack for the Pfalz D.III and D.IIIa.
there is one skin template for each model. All the custom markings(colors) are all created by decals.
There are very limited photos of Jasta4 Pfalz aircraft so I mixed some D.III and D.IIIa color schemes together.
The end result is a nice colorful Jasta. The colors and markings are based off of original photos. So they're close.

Now when you use (or fly against) these Jasta4 Pfalz D.III's and D.IIIa's you will see all these markings at random. All the time.

Thanks to the SFP1 Dev A-Team for the original Pfalz D.III and D.IIIa models. And thanks to Capu1950 for permission
      to post new skin work.

      Skin and decals by quack74.

    6. BETA FRTown tiles -- summer season

See the post on the FE forum for more detail...

To install these BETA summer season town tiles into Jan Tuma's existing install:

Unzip and back up your ...\terrain\seasonal\early summer folder
(the tiles may work in the spring season and others, I have not tried yet...)

Drag these .bmp and .tga files into the active sim folder and replace old tiles.

      Fly in July!

If 1024 x 1024 size is too intensive for your system,
resize in a photoediting program to 512 x 512 such as Gimp (shareware that mimicks Photoshop).

As mentioned on forum, I plan to tweak colours for each season as time permits,
but am willing to share the Photoshop files should someone be willing to help.

      Cheers!

    11. 17-Pack of Albatros Models

This is a mix of D.IIIOAW, D.V, and D.Va albatros skins. All with fairly accurate Jasta markings. Some models will share the same Jasta markings. This is so different planes can be used at the same time. Also they will match some of the Pfalz D.IIIa's done by me as well.

There are 17 skins in this download. Too many to list here. But it's all in the readme file inside.

All info in the readme file inside.

These are highly detailed D.IIIa's. As real looking as the model will allow.

Thanks to the Skunkworks team for the original model and to Capun for allowing me top repost my skin work.

If anyone notices any incorrect markings or mistakes please let me know. After doing 25 skins it's hard to catch everything.
There are some glitchy things on the model when painted or placing decals. I cant fix those things. They are minor.

      2. Jasta 4 - Silver-Grey with black spiral band around fuselage.

      3. Jasta 10 - Silver-Grey fuselage with yellow nose, struts, wheels and tail section.

      5. Jasta 21 - Silver-Grey fuselage with a black and white vertical band aft of the cockpit.

Included in this dowload is the DATA.ini for the D.III. Install it into your Pfalz D.III aircraft folder and overwrite the original one. It contains Peter01's flight model and removed guns by Christian59. I lowered the gun muzzle and flash to fit into the painted on gun ports to simulate a real D.III. versions of these have all been posted before. But I recommend using these instead. They are higher in detail and more accurate renditions of real D.III's.

    18. Gotha G.IV Cockpit and Bombsight

Gotha Revised Cockpit and Bomb sight

This cockpit is derived from a mod by Ravenclaw_007 10 May 2008 and from the FokkerDVII Cockpit by Third Wire. This mod is NOT intended to depict an authentic GIV cockpit, but to improve functionality (primarily adding back the compass) and the appearance. The bombsight is derived from one originally developed by Dfang in 2008 for the Staaken.

The Gotha bomb sight in this mod mimics a Goerz “telescope type” sight, one of several sights used by the Gothas.

There are no records I can find which depict the actual sight picture, so the cross hairs and reference marks are speculative. We do know the real sight was illuminated for night use; the mod attempts to depict that function. None of the sights used by the Gothas were especially effective (one was actually called a "non-precision" sight). Sights were only one reason bombing was less than accurate. The Gotha approach altitudes in England were usually at or above 3000 meters to avoid defending aircraft, balloon cables, and AAA. The real Gotha bombardier was the aircraft commander, operating in the forward observer station.

Installation- First back up everything. Then to install for and FE1 and FE2:

      In The Objects/Aircraft/GothaGIV folder

      GothaGIV_Cockpit.INI

      GOTHA_sight.tga

      GOTHA V24 HiRes_gunsight Full center 5 nums.tga

      GOTHA V24 HiRes_gunsight Open center 5 nums.tga

      DVII_DASH_AMMO.bmp

      D_VII_FLOOR_FRONT_BACK_WALL.bmp

      D_VII_LABLES.tga

In the FE or FE2/FLIGHT folder

      VIEWLIST.INI

      MISSIONCONTROL.INI

The Beta testers and I all used variations of the June 2009 FM by Peter01, who did some of the original FM work on this project back in 2008. The calibration of the sight relies on it, so it is strongly suggested. There are two versions of the sight. One has a open cross hair and the other has a full cross hair. The default (with the open cross hair) will install unless you substitute the other. To install the alternate, save GOTHA_sight.tga as GOTHA_sightBAK.tag, then copy the GOTHA V24 HiRes_gunsight Full center 5 nums.tga, and rename that copy GOTHA_sight.tga. That way you’ll still have a full set of the sights if you want to reverse the process. Keep all versions in the Objects/Aircraft/GothaGIV folder.

Operation- When the aircraft loads, the sight will appear at eye level. Hit the \ key [immediately below the BACKSPACE KEY] twice. The sight will drop to the floor. When approaching the target, engage the wing leveler or autopilot and hit the .DEL key, to go to invisible cockpit. Use the mouse and the NUM PAD + key to position the sight. In FE1, you can then use the \ key to select the bombs from the various choices in the loadout, if you have selected multiple weps in the load out screen. In FE2 the game will not display these choices, but the ordinance will be selected. Drop the weps in the usual manner with the ENTER key.

The default altitude for missions is set at 3000 meters, or approximately 10,000 feet, the most common approach altitude for attacks on London and the coastal areas. The sight is calibrated to operate at 110 kph for 3000 - 4000 meters, and 90 kph at 1000 meters. The calibration speeds are very important to accuracy. Targets should be attacked with a "stick" of several bombs some toggled a bit ahead, and some a bit behind the apparent aim point.

If you prefer a different approach altitude, you will find alternatives in the folder. Simply copy the one you want, delete the old file and then save the copy as missioncontrol.ini. Do not simply delete the MISSIONCONTROL.INI without using one of the enclosed files as other operational settings are also adjusted for the Gotha GIV in that file.

Known issues- the Gothas carried a very diverse load of stores. In configurations with heavy bombs loaded under the nose, the bomb sight may be temporarily blocked by the bomb on the forward port side. One way to deal with this is to manually toggle only that bomb at initial approach; another is to select a loadout that does not place a bomb in the forward port rack. The typical load for the attacks on England was 6 50kg bombs, so it is relatively easy to set up an authentic loadout which avoids the "bomb block" bug.

Thanks to Southside Bucky and OlPaint01 for exhaustive Beta testing. This was a challenging mod to develop and the comments and advice they provided was extremely helpful. Thanks also to the original developers whose work is incorporated here -- Dfang, Ravenclaw_007, Peter01 , and of course Capun and the team at the Skunk Works for the Gotha.

This is my "Formation.ini" file for First Eagles Gold install. For FE2
look in the CombatAce.com First Eagles forums for help

It has three altered formation versions.

      1. "Fighter" -- Used for German fighter and attack aircraft.
"Vee" flight formation with "Vee" Squadron formation.

      2. "Fighter2" - Used for Allied fighters and attack aircraft.
"Echelon Left" flight formation with box like Squadron formation.

      3. "Bomber" - I changed the spread of each flight of three. More space between.
Each flight is in a "Vee" formation with a slight altitude difference with each aircraft.

I included pics of each formation so you can see what I have described above.
A Readme file is also inside.

If you have already downloaded my "Green " versions, then just back them up and install the "Red" ones in their place.

The red one without lettering also has two extra skin templates in the skin folder for the Green version. Just rename the "Green" templates to the stock names.

    25. DH-2's of No.32 Squadron

These install instruction are for First Eagles Gold. For First Eagles 2 install instruction look in the
Combatace First Eagles Forums for assistance.

This download contains a new skin for the DH-2 created by John 'Aladar' Dawson for First Eagles.

I would like to thank John 'Aladar' Dawson for this great model.

And I would like to thank Southside Bucky for sharing his expansive knowledge of the DH-2 colors
      and markings.

This new skin for the DH-2 is that of No.32 Squadron from early 1916 to early 1917.

      Colors:

"A" Flight - Black wheel discs with white ring around hub with letter "A" on upper wing.

"B" Flight - White wheel discs with black ring around hub and letter"B" on the upper wing.

"C" Flight - Black wheel discs with a white center hub with letter"C" on upper wing.

The flight leader to all three flights will have a number "1" to the right of the flight letter.
      ex. The first aircraft in "A" Flight will have a " A 1" then "A 2" "A 3" etc, etc.

This is all done with decals to create the appearance of multiple skins of No.32 Sqn DH-2's
There is only one main skin included.

      Enjoy, quack74
