    1. Albatros C.III 766/16 Bohme/Lademacher

The Bohme/Lademacher Dragodiles The markings, logos, and numerals are those that appeared on the Alb C.III flown by Lt. Erwin Bohme and his observer Fritz Lademacher. The evidence available (three photos and the text of a letter from Bohme to his girlfriend) strongly indicate that the Dragodiles were white.

When I started this project I thought that the beasts might have been a light green or yellow-green.
It took some time to get it, but after I read the Bohme letter describing the images as “”ghosts” I decided they really were white.

That is why the default is the ghostly white.

I still included the less authentic, but more colorful greenies.

If you prefer the more colorful version, simply delete (or rename) the Decals file, and then copy and rename the"Decals Green Dragodiles" to "Decals".
Both decal sets are in the folder and should be left there. The green and yellow/green beasts should now appear. If you want to switch back, reverse the process. (That's why you didn't dump the original file!)

      The Wood and Linen Alternative
This skin set uses the original decals provided by Stephen1918 that generate a varied set of markings derived from original German units and numerals.
None of the part numbers on the struts, elevators, wings, etc. are adjusted. Please back up your original “Wood and Linen files before using these as they will overwrite the originals. The logo on the prop is the earliest version of the Axial logo. Loading, Loadout and Hangar Screens. The loading and hangar screens are in the main file set along with the skins.

The loadout screen is in the Menu folder, and will replace the stock loadout screen for all aircraft. If you prefer the original, just delete it. Thanks to Stephen 1918 for a great model!

All files are set up for use in FE2.
If you need help getting this package to run in FE1, let me know.

    2. Albatros DIII (OAW) Factory fresh skins

5 skins representing factory finished OAW built Albatros DIII's . OAW built air-frames were finished slightly differently to standard built DIII's no rust brown paint was used , as per a directive from the air ministry in April 1917, so the 2 tone camoflage was applied, also different to the standard Albatri the camouflage was symmetrical, and also hard edged, rather than diffused.

I have tried to represent 2 camouflage in Green/Mauve and Green/Green , the second scheme is speculative, as it seems the Green/Mauve was more prevalent, also on the Green/Green I have made the tail cam lead -trail and not tip - tip as was more common on OAW machines, I have seen pictures of OAW machines with fore aft tail plane schemes, but that may have been a field mod done on the Jastas, but anyhow done them any how. So the Green/Green, and the Green/Mauve are mirror images of each other ( you will see what I mean when you load them up )

Finally I have redone the Lozenge, as I am fed up with seeing the manky dirty lozenge scheme that comes as standard with the in game Albatri, I have utilised a lighter day scheme, re done the rib tapes, etc etc etc.......anyhow, hope these aircraft fit the bill, nice clean, fresh out of the box, so not weathered at all, so if you prefer the dirty used look, please go ahead and dirty 'em up, they are a blank canvas after all.

Oh yeah, just repainted the upper fuselage metal bits, in the standard grey green, also the struts.

      Enjoy !!!

    8. Nieuport17's of No.60 Squadron

This is a skin for the Nieuport17 of No.60 Squadron. The Nieuport17's were used by No.60 Squadron from the Winter of 1916-17 till the mid-Summer of 1917. Then to be replaced by the S.E.5.

Original silver base skin made by Hansa.
The decals will provide a somewhat random cowl and wheel cover color according to flight.

Ex: The first aircraft of B Flight (B 1) will have a red cowl and the third aircraft in B Flight (B 3) will have red wheel covers

The First aircraft in C Flight (C 1) will have a blue cowl, etc, etc.

    11. Nieuport.28's of the USAS 1rst Pursuit Group

=-=-=-=-= Nieuport.28 skin and data pack for the 1rst Pursuit Group =-=-=-=-=

All Skin work and all decal work done by Quack74.
Feel free to add to these skins as you please. If reposting any of these parts with your new work, just throw a little credit my way. It took a long time to make these. Thanks.

I would like to thank EmlD for creating the N.28 model some years ago and posting it for us at CombatAce.com.

I have created a completely new skin for the N.28 along with numerous decals to create the 4 USAS Aero Squadrons that, together, form the USAS's 1rst Pursuit Group.

      1. 27th Aero Squadron - Flying Eagle in red circle
      2. 94th Aero Squadron - Hat In The Ring
      3. 95th Aero Squadron - Kicking Mule
      4. 147th Aero Squadron - Terrier "Who Said Rats?"

      ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Nieuport.28 was the sole aircraft used by the American pursuit group from the
Late Winter of 1918 until the first week of August 1918 when The 1rst Pursuit
Group was re-equipped with the SPADXIII. When first delivered the N.28's were
unarmed. Some of the first frontline flights were done with unarmed aircraft in
March. More or less done to familiarize pilots with the type and the "Front"
itself. It wasn't until March 28, 1918 that the Squadrons began to receive guns
for their planes. But just enough to mount one per plane. The Nieuport.28's were
also Notorious for shedding their upper wing fabric do to poor glue quality.
stemming from the factory's lack of quality control. Few pilots had indeed lost their
      lives do to this defect.

    23. Hans Udet Jasta 37 D.Va "5876 Woody"

      Greetings:

This skin, depicts the camo and markings on a Albatros D.Va with a wood finish fuselage flown by Lt Hans Udet, of Jasta 37. Udet flew many aircraft, and this appears to be one of at least three D.Va types he used at Jasta 37. I relied most heavily on superb computer renderings by Mark Miller, as well as other information generally relevant to the aircraft

Of course, I began this project with the general release skins provided by TK and Third Wire. The result you see is entirely my own, and my time machine is no longer operational. This is an interpretation, a well-grounded interpretation, but certainly a mix of accuracy and flaws.

Have fun with it. I’d appreciate any comments, especially with links to source material. Although I included a serial number, the tail markings on the images available to me are not clear. Hence the “D. 5876/17” is speculative. Nevertheless, the number is in correct form, and yes, that is why the individual numbers do not accurately line up. This is consistent with the form of the numbers on the reconstructed D.Va in the Smithsonian. If you have more information regarding the SN, please pass it along. The Albatros rudder logo is correct, despite the fact that it does not appear in the Mark Miller rendering.

Just drop the folder in your AlbatrosD5a folder and select Hans Udet Woody in the loadout screen. There is another J 37 Hans Udet D.Va skin, depicting the black fuselage aircraft that was released shortly before this version. A third silver version may be released later.

There is no need to edit the AlbD5a ini.

Please no distribution or republication of any part of these files. There is a lot of unique detail that took a lot a time to research, compile and work into the skin. For that reason, these parts are not available for further use.

    25. J14 Blue Band Patch

This patch will Change the thin bands to red and the main thick band to a light blue
almost gray. This is the way a replica of 489/17 looks. Thanks to a photo sent to me by von tobler.
The thin bands in the blk and wht photo seem too light to be black. Red might be the way to go.
