  1. SF2 Chengdu J-7 Fishbed Series Pak by Mod Mafia/TMF (v.2)

    SF2 Chengdu J-7 Fishbed Series Pak by Mod Mafia/TMF (v.2)        11/12/2023

    = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) =
An upgrade pack for the 3 J-7 Fishbeds built by The Mod Mafia/Mirage Factory. This is the full set as issued in 2012. This is EVERYTHING, all the aircraft, weapons, pilots etc. These aircraft have had their FM revised to something more SF2-ish, with all hit boxes and collision points also revised. It is designed to REPLACE, in total, all previous versions. Yes, you may just drop these over your originals. Backup copies of the data inis are all supplied as a "just in case CYA".
    ===
Some of several "newer models" that were never quite completed when Bpao passed away a few year back. I've been fortunate enough to be allowed to complete his work, as a member of the Mod Mafia.
This pack contains 3 of the J-7 Fishbed series, as built and operated by the PLAAF (People's Repbulic of China), and exported to some other folks. They are:
    Chengdu J-7I
    Chengdu J-7II
    Chengdu J-7IIA
The J-7I and II have only PLAAF skins. The J-7IIA (exported as F-7B) has skins for
    PLAAF
Iraqi Air Force (folder called "Camo2")
Islamic Republic of Iran AF (folder called "Camo1")

All skins are in jpg format, Decal Randomization is TRUE.  Damage textures are the older tga versions.
All markings are decals,(excepting National Markings, which on some skins are painted on), and reference stock 3W items. The PLAAF Bort numbers may be incorrect; skinner/decal makers are !ENCOURAGED!! to create more correct ones.
A user list is included for all, even for the I & II, which were NOT exported
All sounds, pilot figure(s), seats, are included. Weapons, for the most part, reference those already "stock" in-game items. However, in the usual "CYA" effort, Chinese A-A missiles are included. These come from the GunnyPak.

The Canopy opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0. The RWR.lst for the J-7IIA references many items from dtmdragon's Updated Threat Library; the url/download link I cannot find! So, I've just went ahead and included all the various RWR tgas that I had (in the /Flight folder included in this zip)
When 'in game', you'll see on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown Menu, for each one...
    Chengdu J-7I (TMF)
    Chengdu J-7II (TMF)
    Chengdu J-7IIA (TMF)
This will differentiate all these aircraft from any others you may have, either stock, user-made, imported from China, or whathaveyou.

As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please -READ- them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too for futher explainations, clarifactions, illuminations and so forth.
A full listing of credits, as always, is below the Install Instructions.

  2. F-7N Airguard Over Iran. SF2.

    F-7M Airguard.
This is skinset and decal set for F-7M as used by Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force.
Purchased in late 80's very unfortunate fighter jet amid IRIAF fighters.
Due to limited reference material this is very possible skin/decal set.
Pack contains one skin set with 3 squadrons that operated F-7M.
All serial numbers are historicaly correct. (As far as I know)
Aircraft is set for specific country - in this case Iran.

  3. SF2 Chengdu F-7M Fishbed Series Pak by Mod Mafia/TMF

SF2 Chengdu F-7M Fishbed Series Pak by Mod Mafia/TMF

    = For SF2, Full-4/5 Merged (Full-5 Reccomended/Preferred) =

*Note: There is a distinct possibility that this mod MAY work in SF/Wo* 1stGen game installs. However, some data ini and avionics statements will =NOT= be in effect in 1stGen SF/Wo* at any patch level (with the possible exception of WoI plus it's ExpansionPak -this has not been tested, as I ONLY mod for SF2). It is designed for use in SF2, at the most current patch level. Your milage will vary!*

One of the "newer models" that were never quite completed when Bpao passed away a few year back. I've been fortunate enough to be allowed to complete his work, as a member of the Mod Mafia.

This package represents the F-7M (aka: J-7IIM) in PLAAF and Export service.
Skins included in the pack are:

    China1 (white-ish in color)
    Iran
Iraq (may not be historically correct!)
    Pakistan
    Silver2 (tagged 'generic' nationality)

The PLAAF and Silver2 skins use stock VPAF Bort numbers (again, not historically correct -I'm hoping someone will pick up the decal ball, and create correct ones)
Several of these export models have a start default date that corresponds with the 'End User Start Dates', ie: Pakistan in 1990,etc, as defined in the userlist.ini.

All sounds, seats, and some etcs, are included. Weapons, for the most part, reference those already "stock" in-game items. However, in the usual "CYA" effort, a Chinese A-A missile is included. These come from the GunnyPak. "Newish" coding in SF2 allows for 'nation specific loadouts'; this has been used for those nations using Western style weapons.

The Canopy opens with the Standard Animation Keystroke ™, Shift/0. The RWR.lst for the F-7M references many items from dtmdragon's Updated Threat Library; the url/download link I cannot find! They were included in the J-7 Pak recently uploaded

When 'in game', you'll see on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown Menu...
    Chengdu F-7M (TMF)

However, due to national model changes, some of the texturesets ini will show the pertantiant type (ie: Pakistan, F-7MP)
This will differentiate all these aircraft from any others you may have, either stock, user-made, imported from China, or whathaveyou.

  4. FT-7P Fighter Trainer

PAF FT-7P For Sf2(Full-5 merged or at minimum SF2:I and SF2:E)

This mod represents the training variant of the F-7P called the FT-7P currently in service with the Pakistan Air Force. These aircraft were acquired for free from China as new production air frames. However, they were grounded for one year for the fitting of western ejection seats as PAF pilots refused to fly with the stock Chinese ejection seats.

The PAF operates a total of four of these airframes. All of these aircrafts are in service with the training wing of the No.19 'Sherdils'(Lionhearts) Squadron.

Note:This is NOT the EXACT representation of the real world aircraft as the model represented in this mod has a much different canopy than it's real world counterpart. However,as this is the only double seater fishbed available for the TW SF series, the canopy will differ from those found in reference photographs.

Note:This jet is meant for TRAINING PURPOSES ONLY.Don't expect to emerge victorious from a large dogfight or survive in a large threat environment. The following training scenarios are ideal for this jet:

    -Basic Flight Training
    -Advanced Flight Maneuvering
-Air to Air weapons training against a small target(s)
    -Bomb training(Unguided)
    -Ground Strafing(Guns and rockets)

    Installation:
After unzipping FT-7P_1.0,place the objects folder inside your basic SF2 mods folder. You must at least know about the SF2 mods folder.
Note:If you do not know anything about the mod folder, the immediately stop the installation,go to the COmbatACE Forums,Go to the Strike Fighters 2 Knowledge Base and take a look at the thread explaining the Strike Fighters 2 mod folder mechanism.

  5. F-7P Skybolt V1.0

PAF F-7P Skybolt Interceptor For SF2

For SF2,Full-5 merged or at Minimum SF2E and SF2V(Required for Cockpit and HUD)

    Overview:
    J-7MP
After nearly two years use of the F-7M, Pakistani Air Force (PAF) returned the 20 F-7M aircraft to China in the late 1980s with recommendations for 24 upgrades, including replacing the original GEC-Marconi Type 226 Skyranger radar with the Italian FIAR Grifo-7 radar, and AIM-9 Sidewinder capability.
The Italian radar weighs 55 kg, had a slot antenna planar array, and had a range greater than 50 km, while the British radar only weighs 42 kg, with a parabolic antenna, but only had range of 15 km. Both radars have a mean time between failure rate of 200 hours. J-7MP:is the design specially tailored to Pakistani requirements.
    J-7PG
Alternative to J-7MG, similar to the J-7MG except with Italian FIAR Grifo-MG radar, which further increased the sector of scan to +/- 30 degrees from the +/- 20 degrees of Grifo-Mk-II on F-7P. The Grifo-MG radar has better ECCM, look-down and shoot-down capabilities than its predecessor Grifo-Mk-II, while the weight remained the same. The number of targets can be tracked simultaneously is increased from the original 4 of the Grifo-Mk-II to a total of 8 of the Grifo-MG. Pakistan and Bangladesh evaluated the aircraft, and evolved to F-7PG.

    The Mod:

This mod represents the F-7P Skybolt in service with the PAF from the late Eighties. This version of the aircraft is not to be confused with the newer F-7PG with it's Double Delta Cranked wing profile. The base model used is the stock TW Mig-21 F-13 as it is exactly like the F-7P.All the texturing was done using Gimp2.6.The Skins were made by modifying the stock grey skin and include textures for:

    CCS Standard
    CCS Grey(Kill Markings)
    No.20 Squadron
    No.17 Squadron
    No.2 Squadron Lo-Viz

The Weapons loadout is completely revamped to include western munitions. The Aircraft still however, uses the stock fuel tanks. This F-7P is strictly made to be used for Air Defence. But,Ground munitions are still included for pilots who like to bomb.

    Installation:
After Unzipping F-7P V1.0,place all the contents of folder inside your objects folder located in your SF2 mod folder. When asked to overwrite, click yes.
Note:If you do not know anything about the mod folder, the immediately stop the installation,go to the COmbatACE Forums,Go to the Strike Fighters 2 Knowledge Base and take a look at the thread explaining the Strike Fighters 2 mod folder mechanism.

If you are modifying my textures for your own mod, then you have my permission as long as I(Lazarus1177) am acknowledged as the original Author.

I HEREBY CLAIM NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY OF THE CHANGES THIS MOD MAY RENDER TO YOUR GAME(Even though it doesn't).IF THIS MOD IS INSTALLED,THEN IT IS DONE ONLY BY THE WILL OF THE USER AND I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS.INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK.(The mod is perfectly safe, but I still claim no responsibility just to be safe!)

I would also like to thank forum members EricJ and Gepard for their support regarding the Aircraft's Engine thrust.
Hope you have as much fun flying it as I did Making it.

    Regards;
