serverandenforcer 33 Posted April 1, 2008 How to make the NozzleAnimation? From what I've heard, it's a scaling animation. I don't know much about animation, but I think there are some tutorials that talk about it.
centrinoe 0 Posted April 1, 2008 the problem is that we have made the animation in the model yet the game engine just don't recognize it and we set the controller to TCB control
+gabilon 0 Posted April 1, 2008 Hi, Nice looking aircraft. To make nozzle animation, you have to apply vertex scaling to the nozzle, no mesh scaling. Use PositionXYZ, Rotation Euler XYZ and Bezier Scale as controllers (no TCB!!). Dont rotate or move the mesh within the animation. If you need an example, PM and I can send you a sample mesh. +Florian 394 Posted April 1, 2008 the problem is that we have made the animation in the model yet the game engine just don't recognize it and we set the controller to TCB control In general all mesh animations need to be set to TCB control. But scale animations in TW games only work with the controllers set to Position: Position-XYZ, Rotation: Euler-XYZ and Scale: Bezier-Scale. You can scale the nozzle mesh with this, but if you also move or rotate the mesh, it´s not working either. If you have a mesh that is scale animated and want to move it, you have to build a "help" mesh and link the scaling mesh to it. Hope this helps, good looking toy you have here. +Bongodriver 20 Posted April 6, 2008 the problem is that we have made the animation in the modelyet the game engine just don't recognize it and we set the controller to TCB control This is where you have gone wrong, only rotation and positional animations must be set to TCB, scale animations must be left as default values set by 3ds max. if my memory serves me position= position XYZ rotation= euler XYZ scale= bezier scale
