#2 - p47 Thunderbolt. (built like a tank, hits like a train)

#3 - Ill put the sopwith camel here. Given my limited knowlege of wwi planes and limmited time in wwi sims. But i've come to love this plane.

Hello,

" ... If you had to pick your three all time favourite Aircraft, which three would they be? ... "

there's a lot, much more than three - the Lébaudy airship, and much more modern aircraft like the Supermarine Spitfire - but for the early ones ...

a) The Leva(va?)sseur Antoinette

b) The Etrich Taube (?) ;-)) :haha:

c) L59

Greetings,

Catfish

#1: The Continental Airlines 747 that flew me home from Desert Storm, and which we utterly trashed in the 10 minutes prior to having to strap in for landing back in the World, all started when the stewardesses started hitting us with pillows

#2: The American Airlines 767 that took my ex-wife to the other side of the country and didn't bring her back :drinks:

#3: Piper Tomahawk N3288K, in which I made my 1st solo. Even though I hate "Traumahawks" as a species and had times when I was most unhappy with this one, it behaved itself very well that day :stinker:

1. Fokker Dr.1, wanted to pick something different but couldn't, its just my favorite.

2. F4U Corsair, thats Robert Conrad's and the "Black Sheep Squadron" TV show's fault.

3. 1929 New Standard D-25, first plane I ever flew in.

Fw190.

Dr1.

Spitfire (BoB model).

I was around five years old when my mother built and painted the old Airfix Dogfight-Double kit, Dr1 & Brisfit, and hung them from the bedroom ceiling. 1965 that was. I was given an early start. I built my own Dr1 and painted it red with a bit of tissue on a stick when I was eight.

I don't blame you at all there. That was just a very evil, nasty airplane and a complete waste of aluminum better used as beer cans :haha:

#2: The American Airlines 767 that took my ex-wife to the other side of the country and didn't bring her back :drinks:

Can I charter that?

Anyway, back on topic

Breaking the mould...

1) Hawker Hurricane - I love the underdog, Faithful servant, a rugged fighter and the victor of the BoB.

2) Macchi MC202 - Has the look of a fighter, for me, in spades... but the 205 will do too.

3) SE5a - WW1 equivalent of #1

Nice question!

In no particular order - Siemens Shuckert DIV, Westland Whirlwind and MiG21.

I'm also extremely fond of lamb Henry and Moorhouse's Pendle Witch, but I don't think you need to know that.

Cheers,

Si

Boy - some people can have great parents...

A choice of aircraft is difficult, cause I haven't been flying all, even as a simmer only.

But from the ones I know:

Albatros DIII (in it's time, when it was brand new)

Supermarine Spitfire Mk2 (for it's beauty)

Focke Wulf 190 D9 (for a great, but late fighter)

My top 3 Aircraft well here goes:

1. Spitfire. Just because it's a Spitfire

2. Mosquito. Because it did it all.

3. Lancaster. I always loved the Lanc

A close runner up was the F86 Sabre. It just looked like a fighter should.
