Try finding those in you mod folders and deleting them.

Hi steelflanker,

 

I have exactly the same problem with the jagged edges!! It looks awful :(

After i installed the patch it striked my eyes immidiatly.

The strange thing is I tried everything in the option.ini and several total different settings with nhancer or the nvidia tool ( i don't know how it is called exactly) but in game it looked all the same.

As if the game is totally ignoring my option.ini entry or nhancer. That is really strange.

So i am in the same boat with you. I have XP SP3 and the latest directx.

I have to check the glowing decal issue in the next two days but i can say that i saw the decals flickering on my wingman.

This was all happening on a clean default installation with the new patch.

 

Other than that the patch seems to work good with me. But before the patch SF was a real screenshot-eyecandy....now not so

Hello,

I'm another one with the jagged edges problem. Windows xp sp3, Dx9. Noting I've changed in ini file helped (Anialiasing=, ForceDx9=,... I've tried it all). This is the first time the jagged edges appeared, before the patch it was indeed eyecandy. I suppose it's windows XP related...

Old news though. Seems, it appeared with Exp2.

...so did ANYONE try doing the .INI dance with that?! :dntknw:

 

i.e. [Options.INI]==> AntiAliasing= (value of your choice)

"doing the .INI dance" --> SidDogg, I've tried it, actually you gave me the idea in your previous posting in this toppic; I've put every value between 0 and 16; nothing worked.

 

Brain32 --> My (ati) doesn't have a "force AA" option (actually, I'm on an 4 year's old iMac, bootcamp with a XP partition, until this patch everything went suprisingly smooth, graphic options slider on a "high" value).

hmm... environmentsystem.ini seems unchanged, flightengine.ini has lower maximum view values for terrain for all detail options, also new [EndGame] block is added, apart from this they seem the same... digging

Is it just me or is objectdata002.cat unreadable, protected?

Hmm all that and obviously some kind of connection to the internet makes me assume a few things...

It's stuffed full of decals. Object Data002 is the new Hangar 51 as it doesn't open dntknw.gif

I wonder if the Dulce Base that ObjectData002.CAT became isn't somehow related to the DLC... (tinfoil hat on) :this:

Seems now all LOD files are locked in ObjectData002, which is not accessible and cannot be extracted.

Drop tanks are now part of the model of several aircraft more - F-104, F-105 for example.

Hi All

 

Yes they are the stock decals that have gone missing. I’m not running any mods with the new patch yet.

 

Using the new extractor I have confirmed they are all present in ObjectData019 but still don’t show.

Noticed the most on the Netz & Baz but I’m going to have a more in-depth look tonight.

Anybody had the chance to check the Netz & Baz yet?

Anyone else having problems with decals?

 

Sorted the problem with my jagged graphics at least & its looking beautiful. :grin:

 

AntiAliasing is controlled buy your graphics card only now & not the application settings in the game.

No mater what entry you put in to your [GraphicsOptions] it has no effect.

It has to be set to your own taste in you graphics card control menu.

“Application controlled” or “Use application settings” must be unchecked!

Have you unchecked the "Aplication controlled" or similar box & moved the slider or what ever you have to 4X or 8X? Leaving the Options.ini for your game at the defalt setting? 4X I think.

 

Worked perfectly for me on my ATI Radeon HD 4600 using the Catalist Controle Center.
