Isn't Magic 2 an post-TW-time-frame 1986 design? Or did you count R.530 as a variant?

Well as TK mentioned an 80s series including MiG-29s maybe things may go that way!

 

 

Hmm I had 1 kill in around 300 shots with them! Looking at the Firestreak performance - something global may have been tweaked - difficult to tell because missile performance has changed so much in various versions.
