Wrench Posted May 30, 2012 Posted May 30, 2012 static Hercs already exist (courtesy of our Argentinian friends); C-17s would require a new 'terrain object' to be built. (however, if you have Veltro's -before their removal- they'll automaticly generate as parked aircrft). ----- hurc: look in the recently released NAfrica/Eastern Med terrain (or any other of mine from the last 12 months) -- you'll find gray (re)painted static C-130s, and a repainted CH-47 (use the CH-47GN_static.bmp - it's all green) and several others I've got all their (the argentine static models) repainted for 'generic' terrain usage. if you need anything, let me know. Don't forget the static parked Huey, too! Quote

BOOOORIINGGG!!! ) I don't think there's a way to force them to be anything different, other than 'large' or 'small' wingspans Quote
hurc Posted March 17, 2013 Author Posted March 17, 2013 (edited) Yes Soulfreak, Faked bases is how I got different type a/c to generate as parked, but its got a catch. If your terrain has multiple friendly bases spaced around the map it will populate those as well as your main base, but doesn't populate the fake base that's sitting at the same spot as your main base. Nellis only works because ALL of the players bases are at the same spot as Nellis (one real base and several fake). My tests with the DS mod had either game generated a/c at the main base parking spots or the fake base parking spots, but never both at the same time. Maybe somebody else has found a way to do it. Of course we can always just have more statics made by the 3d modders, ;) Edited March 17, 2013 by hurc Quote
