Gunrunner Posted February 28, 2016 Posted February 28, 2016 21 as in B-2.1, 2+1, 21st century, 21 B-2 built or $21 billion for the development contract ? Also, anyone notices anything about the engines on this concept drawing ? I'm sure it's going to drastically reduce costs. Quote

JediMaster Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 It was already mentioned that the new bomber would most likely be twin-engined instead of 4. Seeing as we have the 777 out there with two engines there's no reason a bomber can't have two as well. However, seeing as they bizarrely didn't go with B-3 (I guess we're to assume they had 18 other designs that were made on paper/virtually that got passed over), I still think 21 is wrong. Looking at this, it's a B-2.1 for sure. MAYBE B-2.5. Quote
Gunrunner Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Considering how previous bomber programs went and the development hell of most programs since the 80's, I'd say B-21 White Elephant... 1 Quote
