And I got tanks climbing almost 90° degree tilt hills with no speed loss or gravity effect at all.

I believe these issues have something to do with the beginning and ending route positions within each terrain's movement.ini, but I could be wrong.

So it is. If a waypoint in the movement.ini is set on the wrong place tanks and truck go over the water and ships sail over land.

But:

With the ships on land it can be a bug too. With Carrier groups it can happen, but this has nothing to do with the movement.ini.

NICE, I so want Soviet super-amphibian tanks in the North Atlantic to strafe and rocket!  :-P  Is it really just as simple as plunking a waypoint down on the water and would it be doable with TW's mission editor?

Yes I have frequently had this problem. I have attacked ships on the water which also travelled on the land and later sank into the land when destroyed. It don't do much for the realism of the game, but in my case you just learn to live with it. !!!

In game the tanks are driving over the water. They do not swim.

A tanks that swims looks like these:

or that

and so it looks if a BMP-1 force is advancing a water obstacle :

So they walk on top of the water? Maybe the right definition is floating Tanks, or even sinking-immune tanks.

Are you joking?

No, everything is much simpler. In the series of TW games there is no water, but the land with the texture of water! There you can even land a wheeled aircraft!

you know, i tried "water" landing with the gear up, i toasted the plane, another time i was going to land engine cut on the beach with the gear down, i lost speed much faster ended up touching down on the water and it was fine, if i was told the story i just told i`d ask: can i buy some pot from you?

Maybe those tanks appear to be rolling on top of the water, because they're actually the vastly improved 2nd gen hover tank.

Because we all know the original 1st gen really needed some improving upon...Sgt_Bilko_G_01.jpg.5863ff149adb5e1e4ea45313e195ecbd.jpg....

Ships on land is totally on account of the prevailing wind direction-especially during landing, the ships will sail into the wind and if positioned near a shoreline, onto land as a result.

I noticed this in the Gulf of Aqaba (IsrealME).Correction achieved by simply changing the wind direction.

Oh my God! People, what are you talking about??? For the Ground objects there are two categories of displacements:
Route Type = truck
Rouye Type = shipping
Accordingly, in random missions, where no route is prescribed, all vehicles move where they want: ships by land, cars on mountains and forests. Or on the water))

True, but with SF2NA carrier ops are available. The position of the ship groups a generated randomly in a defined area. But sometimes the ship groups appear  outside of the defined areas.
