So if you start the game it updates the ini file.

The only time I have seen what you get is when either Texture.ini is missing or the skin folder name has changed without running the game.

I had the same issue with my Super Hornets. Try the ini itself, not the LOD. I think that's what I did to see the textures myself.

Yes, that worked, :good: but what is the reason behind that any idea?

That's something you'll have to ask mue about as I have no clue why it does that.

so im confused, does it still stay blank if you dont start a new run of the game?

i took snapper's advice to heart years ago, and any time i do a new skin folder or adjust an existing one or its textureset.ini, i fire the game up.  it can be briefly, just long enough for the title screen to pop up. this updates everything without typing it in yourself (and risking typos)

lol 😆 no we are talking about viewing the model using the LOD viewer.

i knew that.

my confusion was if you were or were not firing the game up, even if for a few seconds, between major skin changes (non imagery based)

you could type it in the aircraft.ini, but the game will do it as well and that way you only have one thing to focus on not getting typos

For the skins to show by just clicking on the LOD you need to have the actual skin files "loose" in the same folder as the lod itself, not in a skins folder.

Otherwise you have to go through the lod viewer but first you can either add the skin folder manually to the aircrafts main .ini or run the game to add it automatically.

AFAIK it is like this:

- You can open the aircraft main ini with LOD viewer, and that is the best way of making it display properly.

- You can open the .lod model file, but then LOD viewer assumes there is a main ini file with the exact same name (before extension) and tries to open that. For example: When the lod file is named phantom.lod and the ini file is F4.ini, then LOD viewer will not find, read or use the F4.ini file, and it will not know about texture subfolders.

Yes, that is the problem I changed the LOD file to match the INI file name and it is working thanks. :good:

Looks good.

You are missing wingtip lights, and ALR-15 antenas on wingtips (early A model),

front gear doors - those 3 lights should be evenly spaced along the side of the door (angle of attack indexer lights),

65ea00683efc2_EarlyA-6ANoseGearDoor.png.db735c0a5a4ee81bed139620787a9aab.png

There should be a small slot on the lower fuselage (left-hand side) between the engine exhaust and speed brake for AN/ALE-18 chaff dispenser

All measurements are correct except for the pilot and the Seats when not at the correct height and place.

Don´t forget that the navigator's position is a little lower and rearward in relation to the pilot :good:
