    Can't argue with disappointment in the delayed release schedule, but as we're not privy to all their internal goings-on it's hard to judge.

    I believe it supports panning and zoom only, right? Not up-down/left-right shifting in the cockpit?

    There were only 2 F-22 sims that weren't by Novalogic. One was iF-22, which I played quite a bit of. The other was F-22 ADF/TAW by DID. I don't recall a nuke in either of them, and not in Novalogic's either.

    There are a lot of questions regarding the legality of this mod right now because it works on F4:AF and not just F4. As such, you won't find links to it easily, and certainly not here. Not until this is cleared up, anyway.

    I don't know if any of these other than Damon are credible. I've been hearing these but they have the ring of repeated rumors rather than substantiated ones.

    I'm thinking some of that is more "Game 2" territory than "OFP 1.5."

    LOMAC doesn't do it for "real", it's a scripted thing with a special key press. They put it in there because so many people wanted to do it. The SFP series has no such option.

    What do you mean isn't real? I've seen one, albeit not in that gray scheme, it was in USCG paint I believe. Or was that US Customs? Can't remember!

    That's always the problem. Remember the hoopla when the 117 was shot down? That was a result of poor planning, but it was still paraded about.

    Apart from possible modding, I understand it will be the same 2 as EECH--just the RAH-66 and Ka-52. This seems to be an upgrade of the code from that game, like F4:AF or BoB2. It's not a sequel in the true sense.

    We could really slam the server here by putting the patches up. People are CRYING to get it. :yes:

    Well, it's still brand new. I don't think OFP reached its full potential until Resistance came out, a year later. Oh, the other thing is this isn't the "real" sequel. This is OFP 1.5 as claimed by BIS themselves I think. Whatever OFP 2 may be is still in the works.

    Nice! I've always liked this plane since I first saw it.

    What got cancelled was their use of the Il-2 engine. That has been replaced with I believe their own in-house engine.

    The important part of all these sims is FUN. I think some people let their quest for realism over shadow that at times. That said, I admit I've had OFF myself since its release but I've really not done too much with it. I'm looking forward to their upcoming Phase 2 release to see how that fares. I also love FE and should get to try it coop this weekend for the first time.

    Yeah, the 47F is a new variant. The funny thing is the Army is buying brand new ones at the same time they're upgrading old Ds. So which is the better deal?

    I think it's the best fighter ever. I also think that in the future we're going to be glad we have it. And I think right now it may get screwed because it can't do much for the fight we're involved in today. However, people are notoriously bad at predicting the fight of tomorrow.

    I got mine for Xmas 05 and I've never looked back. I still can't use it for driving sims, but I can't fly without it. :fans:
