Yes we do. True FLIR is not, by default, included into the game by itself. You can use the IR camera from a IR AGM missile (AGM-65), or if you've added the camera to your aircraft, shifting through the radar functions should get you to where you can see the "FLIR screen". The MF RF-4 is a really good example of this.

Can't you just run the SF:NA exe and run a Vietnam mission from within SF:NA since it's merged? You'd get all the bells and whistles that way. With my merged install, I dont run any other executables, just the SF2 and fly the other terrains/games. Just a thought.
