  2. Looks great! Love the boom animation. Just for reference, for most receivers we extend the nozzle out to 10 feet and make contacts around 12ft. Do you need any pics of the pods or anything else? Storm
  3. Last week, I went and backed up 300 Gigs of photos that I've taken over the last couple of years of flying. So, not only do I have them on an external HD, but on DVD also. Can never be too careful. Storm

  10. Well, I guess it's a possible patch issue if I'm not the only one having it. There is some disconnect with the lods, even if directed to use them. Storm
  11. I tried this in the WoV A-6A and it didnt work. Since I've got WoE also, I borrowed the five A-10 HUD symbols and placed them into the cockpit folder, along with making the avionics ini edit. Does the cockpit.ini need something also? Storm
  12. I've tried contacting Mike directly about it, but havent heard back. In the meantime, I ask you all if you seen the same problem. The F-4C Bkl21 works fine, but the LORAN, and both Blk30 jets wont show up in game, only the external stores. I've checked that the correct LODs are directed and even dropped copies of each into the folders, but still no go. Does anyone else have these installed? Any issues? Thanks! Jeff

  14. They initially deployed without the guns, but last year, reinstalled the packs. Storm
  15. I think the MoD has seen the error in calling for the gun to be removed. The GR.7/9s in OEF have been using it to great effect along with the TorDet over Iraq. When/If 17 Sqn deploys, I'm sure the gun will be installed and loaded with bullets. Storm P.S. Great story

  18. Looks great. I'd really like the JAWS scheme for either the default or you guys' A-10.
  19. The typical Viper mission involves 3 A/Rs. One right after take-off to top-off the tanks, a mid-cycle tank (45min-1.2hrs after the first A/R) and the final A/R for their last hour of the mission before they RTB. On the mid-cycle we're giving them roughly 7000-8000lbs, per jet, in 2-3 minutes on the boom. If they suck, then it obviously takes longer ;) Also note that these are fully combat loaded jets, so they go through the fuel faster. Hope it helps. Storm P.S. With the drogue or MPRS, we can only offload about 1000lbs per minute.

  23. Nearly all of my 3rd party planes have twitchy leading edge flaps/slats. Cant figure it out, but it's just a cosmetic thing, so I try not to look outside ;)

  25. The F-4 in his sig is called the F-4E(S). It's actually part of the F-4 pacakge that the Mirage Factory released. The gun fairing was retained because they were modified gunnosed F-4Es, instead of purpose built RF-4, "Three Israeli F-4E modified for high-speed reconnaissance as a cheaper alternative to the ambitious F-4X. Fitted with a new nose containing the HIAC-1 LOROP long-range camera with a 66-in (168 cm) focal length as well as a vertical KS-87 camera. The aircraft had a false radome painted on the nose to resemble conventional F-4Es" Tomcat_ace, you are beating a dead horse. We dont not believe you about MWS being available in real aircraft, it's just not available in the sim. The code isnt there to begin with, so we cant tweak it to add it. Yes it would be nice to have an MWS that auto fired flares in response to an IR threat. Sorry man.
