Yup, the BRU-57 is our dual bombrack. That 'in-line' versions is used on the Mirages (3, 5 and I think F.1) But in reference to TERs, have you seen this line (borrowed from the Skyhawk data ini): RackLimitOutsideOnly=TRUE I wonder if that could be changed to mount sides ONLY, and not center... RackLimitCenter=FALSE or something like 'not allowed' LoadOutsideOnly=TRUE Some experimentation is in order here.... Wrench kevin stein

RedAir1 is, as yet the only one available. I think it 512x512. Going higher really dosn't gain all that much, as the game 'shrinks' it to fit the low-poly pilot lod Making pilot skins is freeking nightmare, compared to aircraft skins. It's doable, but a completly new template would have to done, with all the necessary layers for the harness, helmet, face, and the wrinkles on the suit. Never did figure out how Deigo did them for his hi-rez skins. I do remember him saying that the psd template ran something like 70megs is size, due to all the layers. Come to think of it....runs off to check.... I do have another version, a new psd for it, slightly cleaned up and with go-faster pants. Let me fiddle with it tonight, when I get home, and I'll see what it looks like. It's still only 512; but it's a little better. Wrench Kevin Stein

I totally agree!!! As it stands right now, Soviet/WarPac only has bomb carrying Migs and the few Fitters around. Not counting th bombers, of course. There's nothing filling the 'space' for Red Air equilivants of the A-10, F-111, or F-15E. Those Flanker variants, and the Frogfoot and Fencer will go a loooong way to creating a 'parity' of stike capability. Fishbeds, Floggers and Fitters (oh my!) just don't carry the load -pun intended! They'll be a great addition; both as player usable birds, and targets for defenders. I'm looking forward to them! Wrench Kevin Stein

For some aircraft, I'm sure they're quite 'real worldish'. I mean, look the Phantom or the B-52...huge trails on them. Most, if not all of us, have seen pics, movies, real life examples. Heck, I'd have never noticed the 2 Wild Weasel Phantoms I saw years ago - we were heading to Laughlin, NV for vacation-, and were not that far north of George AFB, when I saw the black trails. Man, they flew over us at like 200 feet, split around the ridge/bluff, rejoined, and disappeared....it was super! But for new 'cleaner burning' aircraft or for the propjobs, I think NO emmiter would be best. Again, I think it depends on the 'real' engine, and how we all can simulate that. Wrench kevn stein

Personallyl, I'd love to see those transport/resupply missions - escort type, go out, rendevous with the incoming trash haulers, and cover them until they land. Conversly, playing it from the other side, too. Intercept/destroy. For free flight missions, I find the Range is pretty good for that. Although, Major Lee's American Northwest would be MUCH more fun, what with all those canyons and valleys...but to get 0 enemy air activity, I dont' know how to do that Wrench kevin stein

Glad you got it working!!! That same fix can be applied to any terrain (other than the original desert and VietnamSEA). You can use that line for WoV as well, by just substituting VietnamSEA.cat. Interesting video.... B-52Ds being escorted by Eurofighters.... without their towed jammer, D that had to fly in cells of 3 to make use of proper ECM; no use of countermeasures... Using the regular Sabres shouldn't be a problem....just shoot Zur a PM. He's been real good to me when I created the various full mods of his beloved F-86 (IDF, WW2, RAF Sabre 4). I always asked, and he's always granted permissions. I think USAFMTL was on the SabreDog team, shoot him one too. He might know who to contact. As for AD's stuff....he ain't been around for quite some time. Don't know if the email on his site is still active, but it'd DEFINATELY be worth the nickel to try. At the worst, it might be considered 'abandonware', but the admins would have to make that descision. You've done way too much work; you've discovered some great things to get pits for Red Air and other birds...I personally feel this is too important to let languish. EDIT: there's another llittle tweek I learned from the Mirage Factory (21F-13, I think). Since we're (mostly) using Badger & Magoo's pit, which have metric demoniation/reading for the gauges, open the data ini and add this line to the {AircraftData} section: UseMetricUnit=TRUE it'll covert the little readout in the corner to kph. You're kidding, right???? I'm not sure I understand the question.... The aircraft is already pre-existing in your game (use window explorer, and LOOK at the /aircraft folder -- you'll find the AN-12 sub-folder the 2nd one down, in a stock install) They don't show up in game, excepting some scripted missions, and occasionally in campaigns -I've seen them ONCE, in SF during the first campaign- because the coding for what they do dosen't exist. Since it's designed for a WW2:1946 (also known as Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe 2), it obviously won't be under 'Cold War Aircraft' or 'Modern Aircraft'. So that just leaves.... F-86E-10 Sabre F-86F (by Zur and DanW) Data ini: Since the weapons station section on ALL the Sabres are so huge, the simplest, easiest way to fix it is just to a 'find & replace' with you text editor. You'd 'find' USAF,NATO and then 'replace' with USAF. Or, you can simply remove the NATO pointer by hand Loadout ini: Loads are OK as is. No real changes needed for this version Wrench kevin stein

FJ-3M Fury (by C5; based on F-86 by Zur & DanW) When originally released, we did not have carrier operations. Unfortunately, this aircraft does not have a tailhook built into the model. Fortunately, we can add a virtual hook, that works just fine. Open you data ini, and in the {MissionData} section -the top one, add this line at the end: CarrierBased=TRUE Scroll down to the {Fuselage} section, and add the following: SystemName[006]=TailHook (it should be system #6, if not, adjust accordingly. F11F-1 Tiger (by Fleet Defender & Team) Like most of the US aircraft, you simply need to remove the "NATO" pointer. I've also upped to the outer hardpoint 15 kg to make sure you don't get the 'empty' readout in the loadout screen. They were carrying just slightly less then the weight of the bomb, so now they show the weapon listed, as opposed to the blacked-out circle and empty. Even though the weapon was there, in game; it didn't show on the loadout screen. I've also fixed the missing inner pylon for bomb loads.
