View File SF2 F-5A(G) Norway 'Freedom Fighter' by Suhsjake/The Mirage Factory SF2 F-5A(G) Norway 'Freedom Fighter' by Suhsjake/The Mirage Factory 10/21/2025 -For SF2 =ONLY= (Any & All, Full 4/5 Merged Recommended) This is a remod of Suhsjake's mod of The Mirage Factory's F-5A(G) "Freedom Fighter" as used by the Royal Norwegian Air Force for use in SF2. I've taken the liberty of making some significant changes, similar to seen in the F-5A (TMF) remod recently released. Unlike the original mod, this is a "Nationalized", single user, non-exported version. Although, in Real Life (tm) some were passed on to other NATO users. This mod contains 4 skins representing 2 RoNAF squadrons in differing time periods. Each skin uses the "StartDefaultDate" switch; markings change accordingly. 336 Sqdn NMF <1966 (code PX) 332 Sqdn NMF <1972 (code AH) 332 Sqdn NMF <1975 336 Sqdn Gray <1986 All skins remain in their original bmp format, at 1024x1024. All markings are decals. All aircraft have 24 historically accurate serial numbers, (almost) all matched to 'plane in squadron' letters where possible. Within the Decals folder, is a subfolder with various PSDs I used for the squadron and aircraft marking letters, plus a bunch of research papers on RoNAF F-5s (some are in Norwegian, btw) A new pilot figure and ejection seat are included. All sounds and weapons use Stock In-Game (tm) 3rd Wire items. This simplifies matter greatly. The TMF original wingtip and center line drop tanks are included, in their original colorations. The original TMF effects are included, and updated to SF2 standard. The canopy operates with the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0 (zero). On the Aircraft selection Dropdown on the Main Screen, you'll see: F-5A(G) Freedom Fighter (RoNAF)TMF This will, of course, keep it differentiated from any other Norwegian F-5s that may exist. As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! Please read the Notes section for other useless information, and (hopefully) full credits. All original read mes are included. Please also take note of changes in the Standard Disclaimer in the "Legal BS" section at the bottom. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein For Oli Submitter Wrench Submitted 10/26/2025 Category F-5

infantry mods in sf2
Wrench replied to debmalya's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
We've had working infantry since the early 2000s. They work fine when set to "tank". But they move reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllyy slow. They also work good set in defensive positions, via a terrains _targets.ini. I should know -

I'm curious wondering if it doesn't say anything to that effect (downloads are by subscription and community involvement) anywhere on the "sign up sheet" when a new member joins. At any rate, Welcome to CA!

TK's mission editor is NOT really designed for that. It's basiclly junk (was going to use stronger wording, but has 2nd thoughts). That is ACTUALLY allows it is pure luck. That's why we terrain builder take such meticulious care and research to get things where they're supposed to be (or close enough). Let the game engine do it work, after we've done ours.

We come from the land of the ice and snow From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming! -

I'd have gone for "one a week" until (yet to be determined) time period for community involvement has passed. But that's just me. -
Unable to use Mod
Wrench replied to Falcon1364's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
did you put them in the right place???? It sounds like they're NOT in the SavedGames/Thridwire. Where EXACTLY did you install the mods? Show us a screenshot of the location. -
I was actually working on revamping the India=Pakistan terrain. With the new TOD editor, I've been thinning out the TOD buildings in the cities, and correcting the damn truck and ground attack routes (I cannot believe that I messed them up so badly!!!) No timetable for re-release, but it'll be "sometime".

I keep dialing it up, saying "I need a exit", and nothing happens. Frustrating!!

View File SF2 F-5A 'Freedom Fighter' by The Mirage Factory SF2 F-5A 'Freedom Fighter' by The Mirage Factory 10/12/2025 -For SF2 =ONLY= (Any & All, Full 4/5 Merged Recommended) This is a remod of The Mirage Factory's F-5A "Freedom Fighter" for use in SF2. I've collected almost all the skins made for it since in original release in 2005. This was done simply because it hadn't been done yet, AND I needed F-5s for several of the countries on the "Iberian Peninsula/Northwest Africa" terrain recently released. You all can consider this yet another 1stGen Salvage Operation (tm). It will in =NO= way conflict with the (BEYOND!) excellent work done by Sophocles & Team on their F-5 series of aircraft. Having collected the various bits for this aircraft mod, you'll find in this package, in no particular order (although nations with multiple paint jobs do have specific Start Date = statements) the following: USAF: 4441st CCTS (NMF) (1964 <) 4441st CCTS (SEA Camo) (<1970) *a somewhat what-if. see note on skin texture set ini* Greece: 341 Sqdn (NMF) <1965 341 Sqdn (SEA) <1974 343 Sqdn (Aegean Blue) <1985 343 Sqdn (Ghost) <1996 Korea (South): 112th FS (NMF) <1965 112th FS (SEA Camo) <1970 Vietnam (South): 522nd FS, VNAF <1967 Spain: Ala 21, Esc 212 (NMF) <1968 Ala 21, Esc 212 3-Tone Camo <1975 Turkey: 152 Filo (NMF) <1966 152 Filo (SEA Camo) <1975 Morocco: Escadron Borak <1966 (3 tone desert) All skins remain in their original bmp format, at 1024x1024. All markings are decals, with only the VNAF having painted on wing insignia and squadron fuselage band. All aircraft have 24 historically accurate serial numbers; again excepting VNAF which only has 16. Decal randomization is TRUE. While 100% correct for the countries represented, I could not pin down the actual squadron usages. So, they should be considered 'Generic' in that respect. Each respective country uses the same "pool" of numbers for all of their skins. The exception is the later SEA camo RoKAF, which uses a different style. A new pilot figure and ejection seat are included. All sounds, effects and weapons use Stock In-Game (tm) 3rd Wire items. This simplifies matter greatly. The TMF original wingtip and center line drop tanks are included, in their original colorations.
