A comparison of F-15s
BUFF replied to streakeagle's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I agree that it's the most noticeable to me too - I haven't checked but it wouldn't surprise me if it is a re-used model, remember that TK is on a small budget. & all 3 models have flaws but I suppose unless you can get production blueprints, your sim allows a gazillion pixels & you have the budget for the model that's probably always going to be the case. -
Probably Battle of Britain but The Cruel Sea, Angels One Five & loads of others would be in there too. & let's not forget Top Gun for some light relief & corny moments ...

New patches at Thirdwire.
BUFF replied to Aintry's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
In which case he's giving contradicting advice: "After upgrading with this Service Pack, the game will require the latest version of DirectX to run correctly. To download and install the latest DirectX, please visit Microsoft website at Web-based DirectX installer or Full DirectX installer download (52.3 MB)." Latest version is June. -

Hi & welcome to CA. Is this for mainly online play? The Il-2 series is probably the best for you in that case.

How do I???
BUFF replied to Skyfaller's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
None have it as stock. To fly it you have to download it (it's here at CA) & install it as per the readme. Only if the others have it too. 1 of the nice things about this series of games though is that you can easily have as many installs as you want so that you can have a stock or common mod version for online & another (or several) offline versions. Front same as other aircraft like F-4. It has it's own FM & if you install the weapons pack you will have weapons like the Phoenix. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showforum=99 -
