  3. I've got a set of CH but you never know (especially if I can use CombatAce's name to request a set for review ;)). Usually when Saitek show stuff at E3 it isn't available retail until summer anyway. Maybe someone is visiting E3 & can have a look & get some pics ?
  4. Over the years Saitek have been asked many, many times if they would do rudder pedals. Well, apparently they finally got around to it. All that's known until E3 is that they are USB & have fully proportional toe-brakes.

  6. Actually a 7800GT is probably a slightly better value card than the X1800XL (which is of course ATi's last gen card) & broadly comparable. nVidia is launching the 7900GT next week - this is really a tweaked 7800GT expected to add ~10% performance at the same price. It will also of course drive the price for the 7800GT down further. If you could supply details of the systems that it is to run in, monitor & main apps/games it would help.
  7. https://support.ati.com/ics/support/KBAnswe...?questionID=640 This release of Catalyst® introduces the Avivo™ Video Converter. The Avivo™ Video Converter is a transcoder tool that provides a quick and easy way of converting videos from one format to another. The Avivo™ wizard found in the Catalyst® Control Center, allows the user to select the input file, and output format, along with the quality level and file location. The Avivo™ Video Converter accepts a wide variety of file formats as a source, and outputs to file formats such as MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4/DivX, WMA, H.264/AVC and more.
  8. Moved, thanks. If you spot any more escapees please let us know.
  9. Remember that you will get a tone as soon as you switch to Sidewinders but you need to wait for the tone to get louder when it locks on.
  10. reviews of the first retail mobo using it (ASUS A8R32-MVP) at Anandtech, HardOCP & VR-Zone so far.
  11. At your usual game download sources (Google for it) 630Mb so I hope that you have a fast connection. NB. The full game is StarForce protected, don't know about the demo. For more info http://www.rebellion.co.uk/sniperelite.htm
  12. No, it shouldn't take anything like that long. http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=8452
  13. No, you can attach them to your post & they will be uploaded to CombatAce servers. Please try to keep to reasonable file size though.
  14. The first time that you try MP it takes a while but sems to be faster after that.
  15. Just use the .exe (or a shortcut to it) within the folder for whichever version you want to run.
  16. hi, Simply copy & paste the whole WOV folder from a clean patched install & run it from the .exe in that or a shortcut to it.
  17. Not really as they are Third Wire copyright & then there is the whole Lockheed licencing issue ...

  21. If you looked in the sticky http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?showtopic=8786 you would have found an example: "Flying New (previously non-flyable) Aircraft Previously non-flyable aircraft can be flown as follows. MajorLee has a flyable SU-7B. Say you want to fly the Mig-21Mf, which is in \Strike Fighters\Objects\Aircraft\MiG-21MF Open the *.INI file in that folder. It will look like this: [AircraftData] AircraftFullName=MiG-21MF Fishbed-J AircraftDataFile=MiG-21MF_data.ini LoadoutFile=MiG-21MF_loadout.ini Change it to look like this: [AircraftData] AircraftFullName=MiG-21MF Fishbed-J AircraftDataFile=MiG-21MF_data.ini CockpitDataFile=F-104G_cockpit.ini HangarScreen=MiG-21MF_hangar.bmp LoadoutImage=MiG-21MF_loadout.bmp LoadoutFile=MiG-21MF_loadout.ini The MiG-21MF will use the F-104G cockpit. Now use the hangar.bmp and loadout.bmp files from MajorLee’s flyable Su-7, and rename them MiG-21MF_hangar.bmp and MiG-21MF_loadout.bmp, in the MiG21MF subdirectory. That's all. The MiG-21MF will now be selectable."
  22. Check the version date bottom right of the main screen (v07.05.05 is the latest) as your copy may already be patched to a certain level. It is possible that your pirated copy is the problem - you really should try to obtain a legal copy to support the developer. You can put any cockpit into any aircraft (that's how you turn an AI aircraft into a flyable) but you have to add the lines in the .ini to call it as well as simply adding the image files.
  23. seek & you shall find http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?download=1039 http://forum.combatace.com/index.php?download=437 You can make any AI aircraft flyable in SF P1/WOV simply by adding a cockpit.
