    Marcelo penned up a .lod that was equipped with a braking chute (you'll find an entry for it in the data.ini). Being the perfectionist that he is, he will not release it, until the animation is working to his satisfaction.

    Here's an alternative loading.wav that I made up just for Dave (and for the ODS mod). He likes it soooo much, that he has it set to constantly loop in the cockpit. Just extract it into your flight folder. loading.rar

    The DirectX updater brings all flavors of DirectX on up to the most current level. Run DxDiag.exe after you update, and you'll see new DX9.0C files in use.

    It looks as if you've applied SP5 to an existing (modded) install. The proper procedure is a clean install, followed by the application of the October 2008 patch, and then add whatever mods are compatible.

    Only three settings are allowed per surface. You can type in as many flap and sweep settings as you want, but the sim will only use the first three.

    It wasn't a bad system back in its day, other than the fact that it really was not designed as a gaming rig. Unfortunately, it has no open AGP slot, just integrated video (on the AGP bus), and three PCI slots.

    One F/A-18C from VFA-81 was shot down by a MiG-25 about 30 nm southeast of Baghdad, on the 17 of January.

    The Iraqis had a decent AF, with well trained pilots. Their command and control was targeted right at the onset of the campaign, and that essentially crippled them for the remainder of the conflict.

    My advice, throw Adobe in the dustbin, then download and install Foxit Reader ( http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php ). It's far more versatile, is less problematic, and is way less demanding of resources than Adobe Acrocrap.
