Rafale. The Rafale has proven its "omnirole" capabilities in Lybia, while the EF2000 is still an air superiority fighter, a role already filled by the Su-30MKI until the PAK-FA is operational. Besides that, it is really expensive. The Rafale has proven the ability to strike far and defend itself, and the Indians already have been working with Dassault. While in an A2A combat i´m sure that the EF2000 would rape the Rafale, that´s not what this program is about.

It seems it is a Greek Mirage 2000 crashed into the Aegean Sea near the island of Samos. off the Turkish coast, a Greek Island in a disputed area, where it was common for Greek and Turkish aircraft to meet. It was recovered almost intact, both pilots ejected and are fine

Nice way to tune up the chair, Falcon, i remember the article you sent us. Just out of curiosity, how does it work? I mean, how do you aim through it,does it put the sight in position for you to aim it manually, or do you use some different kind of optics? My now deceased grandad used to shoot with a .22 competition handgun, but had to use a simmilar chair after a cardiac arrest paralyzed him, and he said he really missed shooting and was sad at the idea of his gun getting rusty.

lo de los helicópteros si que es peligroso XD mi padre me conto que una vez lo llevaron en un OH-6 de la Armada, entre el mareo y la comida, le dio por vomitar, el piloto, que era amigo, en vez de pasarle una bolsa, le dijo que abriera la puerta, inclino el helicóptero y lo echo todo al mar. Lo de la meada tambien lo puede contar un piloto de phantom americano, tambien miembro de aqui. Uno de sus compañeros, en Vietnam aprovechó mientras los demas de repostar de un KC-135 para echar una meadita, y le paso los mandos al WSO. Como no llevaban pañales porque era mucho calor, usaban botellas de agua. Mientras el piloto se aliviaba, el otro hizo un ligero picado con G negativa, y le echo todo al piloto por encima. El piloto se volvio loco, saco el revolver, y como era bajoti, se puso de pie y se dio la vuelta en la cabina del phantom, y por los huecos, se puso a apuntar al de atras con el revolver, diciendole que le iba a volar los sesos, este empezo a reirse y a perder el control del avion, balanceandose en medio de la formacion, y desde el kc-135 le dicen que si habia algun problema xd

Pañales para adultos. Si es una mision prevista, dejar todo el peso posible abajo y subir con los menores problemas posibles. Por otra parte, en un avión, segun cual sea, las funciones biológicas no funcionan exactamente igual. Supongo que el sistema de habitabilidad y aseo seria distinto para un avion segun sea. Un A-4 no tendria previsto nada en especial. Un Neptune o un Orion tendrian algo para esas misiones de 14 horas (en Somalia, nuestros Orion han llegado a hacer patrullas de quince, y no suelen bajar de 12, y supongo que eso sera lo normal para tripulaciones de todo el mundo) Un SR-71 sería mucho mas sofisticado, para eso, pero no tenia que ser nada cómodo ni sano. Más bien asqueroso. Un muy respetable miembro que hace tiempo no pasa por aqui, CharlieLima, era piloto de Skyraider con la Marina de los EEUU. Una vez contó una anécdota sobre un piloto de su escuadrón, que, dado que eran los primeros en salir y los ultimos en volver, estando enfermo de estreñimiento, se paso con los medicamentos. De este modo, cuando estaba en el aire, la naturaleza le exigio su peaje, y tuvo que utilizar la bolsa de mareos para aliviarse, lo cual no deja de tener mérito por muy espaciosa que sea la cabina de un A-1. Cuando vio lo asqueroso que era lo que habia echado, llamo por señas a su punto, e intento tirarle la bolsa al otro aparato. Por desgracia para él, la aerodinámica y la física devolvieron la bolsa a SU cabina, esparciendo todo el contenido. El piloto en cuestión paso horas asi, y al regresar al barco, lo mandaron a las duchas con todo el equipo incluido. El avion lo dejaron en el extremo mas alejado en cubierta que pudieron encontrar, y aun días mas tarde y trás varias limpiezas, no habia quien se acercara sin mascara.

Para un conflicto actual habria que incluir: España: EF2000 EF-18A Mirage F1M F-5M P-3M AV-8B+ De los F-35, aun queda para que los entreguen. Portugal: F-16AM P-3C Alpha Jet Marruecos: Mirage F1CH+ (similar a los españoles) F-5E+ Alpha Jet El estado de operatividad de los F-16C Blk 52+ no esta aun claro, pero yo los incluiria por motivos de equilibrio. Iban a ser entregados a lo largo de este año Argelia: Su-30 MKA (empuje vectorial) MiG-29 (distintas versiones) MiG-25RB Su-24 MiG-23 (version exacta por confirmar) Esta última fuerza aérea es en la realidad muy "simétrica" respecto de la española, comparando Flanker con Typhoon, Fulcrums con Hornets, Floggers con Mirage...aunque nuestro equipo es de mayor calidad, nosotros no tenemos nada como el Fencer, y ya retiramos el Phantom de reconocimiento, pero contamos con la aviación naval.

A Mirage 2000C was scrambled to check in for the possible "renegade" airplane. Amazing footage by a passenger, wich by chance recorded the last stages of the interception, the visual check, and the break out by the Mirage. Los aviones serian: Fuerza Aérea de Portugal: F-84G G.91 A-7P F-16AM Fuerza Aérea Española: T-6D Texan F-86F Sabre F-104G Starfighter F-5A Freedom Fighter Mirage IIIEE F-4C Phantom II Mirage F1 CE, EE y M EF-18A, F/A-18A+, EF-18M EF2000 Armada Española: AV-8S AV-8B y AV-8B+ Las línea temporal iria desde los años 50 al siglo XXI, mezclando campañas basadas en conflictos históricos reales entre España y Marruecos de haberse calentado la cosa, y varios ficticios que incluirian una alianza entre Marruecos y Argelia por un lado, y España y Portugal por otro. El asunto del escenario ya se esta resolviendo.

Eso es muyyyyyy bueno. Esta mañana me han dejado el culo como la campana de la libertad yanqui (una abierta y rajada que hay en filadelfia) en un examen de internacional, asi que creo que voy a tener que centrarme en esto. This kind of events are honorable, and the German pilot who did it is a gentleman and a hero. But to tell the truth, i wouldn´t have done the same. If there is something worth fighting a war, it is worth destroying a bomber mid air so it can´t get back to bomb your side. Without any doubt, this was better for the brave men aboard the bomber, and for the whole of the mankind (sorry germans, but despite feats like that, you were a bit of trolls back then). Try to think about it without thinking about good or bad side. Imagine just two sides in war. If i was in his place, i don´t know what would i do, but i think that the best choice would be to prevent this plane from ever taking off against its targets. If they don´t jump over land controlled by yout own forces, you down the aircraft. It is not fair play, but it is not meant to. If you don´t want to see people die in the most unfair, cruel and ridiculous ways, don´t go to war. But once it has started, you must take it to the limits. The limits are not to kill innocents, or anybody wich doesn´t pose a threat. But while it is not gallant nor nice, i don´t have any trouble with the enemy being strafed with Apaches or Spectres wich they can´t see, or plant mines or charges to blow them up from afar. Trouble is when somebody is killed when no longer a menace, such as wounded, surrendered, civilians, or tortured in any fashion. But downing a bomber wich could get repaired and airborne to bomb targets within my cities? Of course i would. And i would probably feel sorry about it, but still that wouldn´t have been wrong. Beside that, Herr Steigler is without any doubt the best example of what the military are respected, good people wich get themselves into troubles for something greater than themselves. And i´m glad that he, as such a good man, displayed on that day the compassion wich, while in my opinion was wrong (if i were him, wich of course i´m not, so i don´t have the right to whipe his ass) allowed the crew live and earned him the respect of whoever may know about it.
