  1. [Fictional] Parani Saeqeh 'Thunderbolt'

HESA Saeqeh 'Thunderbolt' (Paran) for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a simple mod of FastCargo's Saeqeh 'Thunderbolt' to give a fictional Parani Saeqeh with markings for the famous Red Lion Fighter Regiment of the Republic of Paran Air Force.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Saeqeh_Pa folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Saeqeh_Pa folder into your Decals folder.
    That's it!

    CREDITS
As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim.
Thanks to FastCargo & Co for bringing us the Saeqeh (FC's original read me is enclosed).
And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community.

  2. McDonnell Douglas F4H-1 'Project High Jump'

McDonnell Douglas F4H-1 'Project High Jump' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2

This is a simple mod of the stock F-4B to give a representation of one of the most famous Phantoms of all time - F4H-1 149449 that was used to set eight 'time-to-climb' records during early 1962 at NAS Brunswick, Maine and at NAS Point Mugu, California.

Most books on the Phantom make reference to this astonishing series of record-breaking flights (even more remarkable as they were production machines and not stripped down prototypes) and there are some good articles on the interweb too.

    N.B. Stopwatch not included!

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-4B_PHJ folder into your Aircraft folder.

    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-4B_PHJ folder into your Decals folder.

  3. North American RF-100A 'Slick Chick'

North American RF-100A for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a very simple mod of the stock North American F-100A to create an RF-100A 'placeholder' until something better comes along.
You'll need to have Expansion Pack 2 to access the F-100A.
    This little known Cold War warrior today can lay claim to being the world's first supersonic recconnaisance aircraft and I'd encourage you to read what you can about the handful of RF-100A's starting here;
    http://www.spyflight.co.uk/f100.htm
Now I'm not a 3D modeller so I've done the best I could using MiG-21 recon pods to create the broadly similar shapes seen on the real RF-100A. To get them to load I've classified them as non-jettisonable fuel tanks so don't worry about dropping your tanks on the return dash - your precious wet film will still be there for the CIA boffins to examine. The RF-100A's carried no armament so I've deleted the 20mm cannon and removed the gun smoke but unfortunately the gun troughs are still there but you'll soon forget about that.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the RF-100A folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the RF-100A folder into your Decals Folder.
    3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the SLICK_CHICK folder into your Weapons folder.
    That's it!

    CREDITS
As always, big thanks to Third Wire for the continuous improvement of a great little game/sim.
A thank you to whoever created the MiG-21 Recon Pod and I hope you don't mind it being used here.
And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community.

  4. Harbin H-5 (Chinese Il-28 Beagle)

Harbin H-5 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a very simple mod of the stock Third Wire Il-28 'Beagle' to create the reverse engineered Harbin H-5 copy. As the PLAAF also operated the Il-28 I've set the service dates to match those given for the stock Third Wire Il-28 (for China) but the Chinese H-5 programme was a slow starter
and it didn't enter service until 1967.
Generic markings with new serial numbers based on the photo of '83002' with a painted radome are included and please note that this mod uses Wrench's F-4B pit for pasko's Yak-25B 'Brewer' so it should work with any version of SF2 that has medium length runways.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the H-5 folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the H-5 folder into your main Decals folder.
    3. From the PILOTS folder drag and drop the PILOT_PLAAF folder into your main Pilots folder.
    That's it!

    CREDITS
Thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim.
Thanks to Wrench for the Brewer cockpit.
Thanks also to whoever did the excellent PLAAF pilot (let me know and I'll gladly give credit).

  5. Mikoyan MiG-21PFM 'Fishbed-F' Mongolia

MiG-21PFM 'Mongolian People's Republic' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2

This is a very simple mod of the stock MiG-21PFM to give a 'Fishbed-F' in service with the Air Force of the Mongolian People's Republic. I've added an extra 'M' to the designation to keep it separate from the true MiG-21PFM but by all means just add the skin and decals to your standard MiG-21PFM.

    I was inspired to do this by the outstanding photographs at the following;

    http://forums.airsho...php?f=40&t=4634

    Please check it out!

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the MiG-21PFMM folder into your Aircraft folder.

    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the MiG-21PFMM folder into your Decals folder.

  6. Dassault Mirage 5PA - Pakistan Air Force

Dassault Mirage 5PA for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2

This is a simple mod of the stock Third Wire Dassault Mirage 5F to give a Mirage 5PA in service with the Pakistan Air Force and with markings for the Combat Commanders' School and also for No.25 squadron. Photographs show many changes during the lifetime of the PAF's Mirage 5PA's so this can only be regarded as generic and a snapshot in time.

Both the Mirage 5F and the Nesher cockpit are needed for this mod.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Mirage5PA folder into your Aircraft folder.

    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Mirage5PA folder into your Decals folder.

  7. [Fictional] Parani Aviation Co. Piranha

Parani Aviation Company Piranha for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2

This is a simple mod of Foxmonter's superb Pulqui II to give a 'what if' Piranha - Paran's first indigenous jet fighter. It's just a bit of fun and designed for you to toss into your aircraft folder and occasionally encounter it over the sands of the Middle-East but, be careful my friend, for the Piranha bites!

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Piranha folder into your Aircraft folder.

    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Piranha folder into your Decals folder.

  8. [Fictional] F-23E 'Karesh' (Shark)

    F-23E for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
    This is a simple mod of Dels' excellent F-23A 'Black Widow' to give a fictional F-23E 'Karish' (Shark) of the Israeli Air Force with markings for;
No.110 squadron - The Knights Of The North Squadron.
No.119 Squadron - The Bat Squadron (with toned-down markings).

    BACKSTORY
With the success of the McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom and F-15 Eagle in Heyl HaAvir service the Israeli's were hoping that the Northrop/McDonnell Douglas F-23A 'Black Widow' would win the USAF's ATF competition to continue their successful relationship with the McDonnell Douglas team at St. Louis but unfortunately Lockheed Martin's victory in the ATF competition looked like bringing an end to a long and enduring partnership.
However in a brave move, in May 1991 the Northrop/McDonnell Douglas team secured permission from Congress to actively market the F-23 to (State Department) 'approved' nations and offered a single-seat multi-role version called the F-23E (Export) to Germany, Japan, Israel and the UK. With Germany looking for any excuse to get out of the Eurofighter consortium and facing high reunification costs they persuaded the UK to team up in a combined purchase of 200 F-23E's. In return, this led to the German and UK Governments persuading Northrop/McDonnell Douglas to make BAe and MBB prime sub-contractors for any further export sales.
However, with only 200 F-23E's on order Northrop/McDonnell Douglas were not convinced that it was enough to start a viable programme but the breakthrough came in January 1994 when the USAF agreed to purchase 100 F-23A's for PACAF (the air component of United States Pacific Command) and this move finally saw Japan and Israel also join the programme with 100 F-23E's each.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-23E folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-23E folder into your Decals folder.
    That's it!

  9. [Fictional] Supermarine Sora FG.1

Supermarine Sora FG.1 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
    This is the Supermarine Type 576 (a proposed supersonic development of the Scimitar) as it might of appeared in service as the Sora FG.1 with fictional markings for the following squadrons of the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm;
736 Naval Air Squadron - attached to HMS Eagle.
767 Naval Air Squadron - shore based at Yeovilton.
803 Naval Air Squadron - attached to HMS Eagle.
807 Naval Air Squadron - attached to HMS Eagle.
This mod uses the Sora 3D model by Cocas who asked me to test it and then package it up and release it so as to allow him to move onto other projects.

  10. BAC Lightning F.52 (Saudi Arabia)

    BAC Lightning F.Mk 52 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 (EP2)

This is a very simple mod of the stock Third Wire BAC Lightning F.2 to make the little-known F.Mk 52 version that was exported to Saudi Arabia as part of 'Operation Magic Palm' an early UK supplied defence package that also saw the supply of Lightning T.Mk 54 trainers, Hawker Hunters and Thunderbird SAM's. Four F.Mk 2's were withdrawn from RAF stocks and were refurbished at BAC Warton to F.Mk 52's before being delivered to the Royal Saudi Air Force in 1966 with a fifth F.Mk 52 joining them in 1967. Rather confusingly, four of these five aircraft were re-serialled so there are nine serial numbers included here.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Lightning52 folder into your Aircraft folder.

    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Lightning52 folder into your main Decals folder.

  11. [Fictional] RAF SEPECAT Jaguar FGR.3

SEPECAT Jaguar FGR.3 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a simple mod of the excellent 'The Mirage Factory' Jaguar GR.1 to give a 'what if' Jaguar FGR.3 tactical fighter with markings for No.45 and No.58 squadrons of No.38 Group, RAF Strike Command. This revision now also includes a desert camo skin for No.112 squadron and uses a revised 3D model.

    BACKSTORY
In 1974 a cancelled export order for 50 Jaguar Internationals left the SEPECAT consortium with a headache as many 'long lead' items had already been ordered and assembly was already underway on the first 12 airframes. At this time the RAF were keen to order more Jaguars to form a second wing of No.38 Group, RAF Strike Command and, with the delays in the Tornado production programme meaning a shortage of work at BAC's Warton factory,  BAC pushed the Labour government into accepting a deal for all 50 aircraft. Some consideration was given to standardising the aircraft to match the RAF's GR.1 force but the uprated Adour engines and different avionics saw the aircraft confusingly designated as the Jaguar FGR.3.
Entering service in early 1977 the Jaguar FGR.3's served with No.45 and No.58 squadrons as part of No.38 Group and also with a reformed No.112 Squadron detached to RAF Near East Air Force. The FGR.3's uprated Adour engines and early introduction of overwing missile rails made them something of an elite element within the RAF's Jaguar force and they were deployed to many hot-spots around the world until their somewhat premature retirement in 2002.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the JaguarFGR3 folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the JaguarFGR3 folder into your Decals folder.
    3. Empty the contents of the WEAPONS folder into your Weapons folder
    4. Empty the contents of the PILOTS folder into your main Pilots folder.
    5. From the SOUNDS folder drag and drop the Adour sound file into your Sounds folder.

  13. [Fictional] North American F-109A Retaliator

North American F-109A 'Retaliator' for Strike Fighters 2
    This is a simple mod of Julhelm's superb North American A-5A Vigilante to make a fictional 'Retaliator' interceptor-fighter in service with the USAF in the 1964 to 1988 timeline. There was actually several North American proposals for 'fighter' Vigilantes offered to the USN and to the USAF and it's a pity that the enormous potential of this amazing aircraft was never fully realised. Anyway, 'what if' markings are enclosed for three ANG squadrons;
    1. 101st Fighter Interceptor Squadron - Massachusetts ANG
    2. 159th Fighter Interceptor Squadron - Florida ANG
    3. 186th Fighter Interceptor Squadron - Montana ANG

    BACKSTORY
Development of the North American A3J-1 Vigilante progressed well during the late 1950's and the first flight of the YA3J-1 prototype in August 1958 revealed it to be a real thoroughbred, packed from nose to tail with outstanding technology. However, a strong faction against the Vigilante was forming within the USN arguing that strategic bombing was not part of the USN's business and North American decided not to assume that large orders for the 'basic' A3J-1 would follow and they began to look at other roles for the Vigilante.
One line of development would eventually lead to the reconnaissance Vigilante (RA-5C) but another line of development transformed the A3J-1 into various fleet defender and ADC fighter options. Fortunately, the wing of the A3J-1 was designed for zero wind over deck launches and this resulted in a wing too large for low-level attack missions but ideal for a fighter. During early 1959 North American offered a long-range fighter version to the USN and USAF but had only a lukewarm response. However, following the cancellation of their F-108 Rapier in September 1959 things now became a bit more urgent for North American and they schemed a revised A3J-1 Fighter with uprated J79 engines and semi-recessed Sparrow missiles.
Trying again in 1960 they received a firm no from the USN (who by then knew they had a winner in the F4H-1 Phantom II) but the USAF agreed to a detailed analysis of an optimsed land-based interceptor fighter (named Retaliator in May 1960) and in June 1960 they announced that the Retaliator was to be ordered as an immediate follow-on to the F-106 programme with 350 ordered although this figure was later reduced to 240.
The prototype YF-109 flew on April 30th 1962 and production F-109A's entered service in late 1964 with the 5th Fighter Interceptor Squadron at Minot AFB, North Dakota. The only export order was from Canada who ordered 60 in 1968 and these entered service with No.409 squadron in 1969 remaining in service until 1990.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-109A folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-109A folder into your Decals folder.
    3. From the PILOTS folder drag and drop the F-109A_FuelPod into your Pilots folder.
    That's it!

    NOTES
Julhelm's Vigilante comes with an authentic Vigilante pit so rather than just slap a Phantom pit into this bird I've used his pit and just tweaked the ini's for the interceptor-fighter role. I'm not the greatest on avionics but it works!
In this revised upload I've chosen to include the Fuel Pod as a pilot (in the same way that we add a Fake Pilot) as I'd noticed my wingmen were jettisoning it when the action started even when adding NoJettisonTank=TRUE. I've also added AIM-9 Sidewinder's to the Retaliator's inner wing pylons.
This aircraft needs/deserves a gun but I've resisted the temptation. However, you can add one if you like and the space from the redundant linear bomb bay could easily accommodate a neat M61 installation slap-bang on the centreline.

    CREDITS
As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim.
Big thanks to Julhelm for bringing one of my personal all-times favourites to the community.
And thanks to Julhelm for also releasing his templates for ham-fisted amateurs like me to screw around with!

  14. RAF Phantom FGR.5 for Strike Fighters 1

McDonnell Douglas Phantom FGR.5 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 1
This is a simple mod of the stock Phantom F-4E to give a 'what if' Phantom FGR.5 tactical fighter with markings for No.6 and No.41 squadrons of RAF Strike Command as they might have appeared in the mid-1970's.
In theory, this should work in any 'first generation' game that has the standard F-4E LOD's.

    BACKSTORY
The cancellation of the Hawker P.1154 in 1964 quickly led to the adoption of the LTV F-8E(RN) Crusader for the Royal Navy to replace the Scimitar and Sea Vixen and the adoption of the McDonnell Douglas Phantom for the RAF to replace the Hunter. However, anxious to improve the UK's trade balance with the US, the UK Government insisted that the RAF's Phantoms would adopt either the Rolls Royce Spey turbofan or the Anglo-French Rolls Royce/SNECMA Sequanna turbofan then under development for the proposed Mirage IVB and advanced Mirage III aircraft. The Sequanna was quickly chosen being lighter and slimmer than the Spey and fitted the F-4 like a glove whilst producing about 1,000lbs more thrust per engine than the stock J79-GE-15 turbojet but with a lower specific fuel consumption.
First flown in 1965 and entering service with the RAF in 1966 the Phantom F.1 supplemented the Lightning interceptors of RAF Fighter Command whilst the Phantom FG.2 re-equipped many Hunter and Canberra squadrons at home and abroad. The FR.3 was a planned version of the RF-4C that failed to materialise as the RAF adopted podded recconnaisance pods but the FGR.4 was the RAF's first true multi-role version of the Phantom taking advantage of the new F-4E airframe and a more powerful Sequanna RB.390 engine developing 19,000lbs with reheat. Only 50 FGR.4's were built before production switched to the FGR.5 with Sequanna RB.392 engines, slatted wings and more advanced avionics. The FGR.5's served at home and abroad, most notably with RAF Strike Command and RAF South East Asia Command before finally being retired in 2003.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the PhantomFGR5 folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the PhantomFGR5 into your Decals folder.

  15. Boeing B-52K Stratofortress B.1

Boeing B-52K Stratofortress B.1 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a very simple mod of the stock (non-flyable) Third Wire B-52K to give a fictional and flyable B-52K Stratofortress B.1 in service with No.9 Squadron attached to RAF South East Asia Command.
Also included are fictional 'Flail' and 'Flambard' bombs with Flail being especially useful against soft-skin targets (or fuel tanks if you get tasked against these in Strike missions) and Flambard being a particularly nasty incendiary bomb. You can, of course, convert it to use nukes but bombing from 12,000m with conventional ordnance is a real challenge but great fun. As we don't have a proper B-52 pit you'll have to make do with the one supplied or go your own way and I mainly prefer to fly this one with cockpit toggle off.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the B-52K folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the B-52K folder into your Decals folder.
    3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the FLAIL and FLAMBARD folders into your weapons folder.

    CREDITS
As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim.
And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community.

  17. VL Myrsky II - WW2 Indigenous Finnish Fighter (by Veltro 2K)

VL Myrsky II 'Storm' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
The VL Myrsky II ('Storm') was a Finnish World War II fighter designed by the State Aircraft Factory (Valtion Lentokonetehdas) for the Finnish Air Force. Entering service during August 1944 the Myrsky was reasonably fast and manoeuvrable enough to dogfight contemporary Soviet aircraftand and it's wide undercarriage gave it decent ground-handling properties. Myrsky usage ended in May 1947 and the last Myrsky flight was made in February 1948.
Veltro2K very kindly made this for me back in 2014 and it's another one of the lesser known aircraft that he has brought to Strike Fighters.
For this revision we have a much better flight model and working flaps.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Myrsky folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Myrsky folder into your Decals folder.
    3. From the SOUNDS folder drag and drop the TwinWasp file into your Sounds folder.
That's it! Although you will need to source a suitable 'prop pilot' for your Myrsky.

    CREDITS
As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim.
Special thanks to Veltro2K for making the 3D model and allowing me to skin it.
Thanks also to Charles for some valuable tips now incorporated on Version 2 and 3.
And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community.

  18. [Fictional] British Aerospace Sea Kestrel FRS.1

BAe Sea Kestrel FRS.1 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2

This is a fictional operational version of the British Aerospace P.1214 project in service with the Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm.

The 3D model is by Cocas and I've been honoured to have been allowed to play with it and package it up for release as best as I can with limited time but I hope you enjoy it as much as I have because it's huge fun! Three Royal Navy skins are included in two different shades of grey and I've also included a USMC 'Shamrocks' skin as a bonus.

    BACKSTORY

The cancellation of the proposed CVA-01 aircraft carrier in 1966 left the Royal Navy with no replacements in sight for both HMS Eagle and HMS Ark Royal and thus began a slow and painful run down in the Fleet Air Arm's fixed-wing capability. But in April 1973 the Admiralty were given a glimmer of hope by being allowed to procure three 'anti-submarine warfare' carriers of the Invincible class. Whilst primarily designed to accommodate large numbers of medium sized ASW helicopters the Admiralty sensibly allowed for the deployment of the V/STOL Harrier and quickly followed up the order for the carriers with an initial order for 24 Sea Harriers (later increased to 34).

Entering service in 1978 (but not declared operational until 1981) the small Sea Harrier force performed remarkably well in the 1982 Falklands Conflict and with confidence high the Admiralty immediately planned for the attrition replacement of the six Harriers lost, the speedy introduction of an improved version and also the design and development of a supersonic V/STOL successor. The first two elements of this plan were immediately approved but, in January 1983, the Admiralty were informed that the Sea Harrier replacement would have to be part of the RAF's Air Staff Target 403 (AST 403) essentially for a planned successor for the Jaguar and Harrier in RAF service.

During this time the British Aerospace (BAe) design team at Kingston (formerly the Hawker design team) had been sketching advanced V/STOL designs to meet AST 403 and could see that the involvement of the Royal Navy would lead to a larger UK programme and also open up a larger export market for an aircraft designed both for land-based and carrier-based use. By March 1983 the Kingston design team had dusted off their P.1214 project and offered several versions to the UK Ministry of Defence. The build-up to the 1983 British General Election saw the Conservative Party, led by Margaret Thatcher, make capital of the UK's victory in the previous year's Falklands War and on the promise of 'strong defence' announced the decision to procure a successor to the Sea Harrier on June 2nd, 1983 with an order for 50 P.1214's for the Fleet Air Arm and a further 200 P.1214's for the RAF with initial deliveries going to the Royal Navy. Development moved smoothly and, as a nod towards the P.1214's lineage, the BAe design team renamed the aircraft Kestrel II.

Entering service in May 1988 with the newly reformed 899 Naval Air Squadron the Sea Kestrel FRS.1 served with four frontline Fleet Air Arm squadrons seeing service in both Gulf Wars and also the Second Falklands War of 2002.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the SeaKestrelFRS1 folder into your Aircraft folder.

    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the SeaKestrelFRS1 folder into your main Decals folder.

    3. From the PILOTS folder drag and drop the PILOT_RN folder into you main Pilots folder.

    4. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop all of the enclosed folders into your main Weapons folder.

Massive thanks to Cocas for creating the 3D model.

  19. McDonnell Douglas Hornet F.2 (F/A-18F)

McDonnell Douglas Hornet F.2 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 1
This is a 'what if' RAF Hornet F.2 interceptor with markings for No.5 squadron of the Royal Air Force.
Erwin_hans was good enough to release a blank skin so it was a easy to knock-up an RAF Superbug. This is a fine add-on aircraft for 'Strike Fighters 1' and 101tfs and Erwin_hans have created a true masterpiece  - one of the very best add-ons available and I'd like to thank them for their hard work in bringing this aeroplane to us. Please note that in this revision I've simplified the effects and sounds to use stock files and you'll want to change the loadout.ini to suit the weapons you've got as, again, I've left it to stock.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the HORNETF2 folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the HORNETF2 into your Decals folder.
P.S. Remember to set your Single Mission EndYear=2010,2020,2040 or whatever in your Options.Ini!

  20. De Havilland Vampire F.8

De Havilland Vampire F.8 for SF1
This aircraft mod will create a 'what if' de havilland Vampire F.8 with colourful post-war markings for No.3, No.4, No.98 and No.263 squadrons of the Royal Air Force.

This is a revised upload that was originally for SF2 but mistakenly got left in the SF1 section when the SF1/SF2 split happened and as I can't get SFG/WOX to work on my W10 desktop I've not been able to test it. I think I've got the reverse engineering right but the one thing I can't do is sort out the rockets and tanks (it's so much easier in SF2).

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. Drop the Vampire_F8 folder into your Aircraft folder.
    That's it.

    CREDITS
As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim.
Thanks to Pasko for this superb add-on aircraft (one of his many), Gramps for the skins and also Don (C5) for the FM.

  21. [Fictional] Grumman F-14A Tomcat 'COAN'

Grumman F-14A 'COAN' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2:NORTH ATLANTIC

This is a very simple mod of the stock Third Wire F-14A_77 to give a fictional Tomcat F-14A 'COAN' as it might have appeared in service with the Comando de Aviación Naval Argentina and includes fictional markings for the famous 2nd Escuadrilla Aeronaval de Caza y Ataque (2nd Fighter/Attack Squadron).

You must have Strike Fighters:North Atlantic for the Third Wire F-14A Tomcat and for the optional carrier.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-14A_COAN folder into your Aircraft folder.

    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-14A_COAN folder into your Decals folder.

    3. From the GROUND OBJECTS folder drag and drop the BernardinoRivadavia folder into your Ground Objects folder.*

    4. From the PILOTS folder drag and drop the PILOT_COAN into your Pilots folder.

    5. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the AM39 folder into your Weapons folder.

    * You'll really need to add 'ArgentineNavy' to the limited nations section of the ICELANDNA_NATIONS data.ini (which you'll need to extract). Doing this yourself will allow you to align the Argentine Navy to a 'colour' of your choice.

  22. Debris Gone!

Are you fed up of debris flying up in the air and spoiling your screenshot, or not matching your paint scheme (or your navigator's eyes)?
Then use 'Debris Gone' and banish debris today!
OK. As an unexpected request, here is a simple replacement for the stock DEBRIS.tga which you can put into your Flight folder and remove flying debris. The original DEBRIS.tga will remain safe and snug in your CAT files so if you don't like you can just delete it and your game is back to normal. If you haven't got a flight folder then just put my Flight folder into your main folder (not in your Objects folder - go up one level).
Special thanks to Migbuster for giving me the idea.

  23. Supermarine Attacker FB.1 - Pakistan Air Force

Supermarine Attacker FB.1 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
N.B. Requires 'AttackerA-R0c2' LOD from the SFP1 Dev A-Team website.
This is a simple mod of the Attacker FB.2 'Beta' hosted at the SFP1 Dev A-Team website to give an Attacker FB.1 of the Pakistan Air Force who were the only export customer for this pioneering but rather pedestrian British aircraft and, indeed, the last export customer for new-build Supermarine aircraft.
Serial numbers for all 36 Pakistan aircraft (R4000 to R4035) are included and an alternative 'nose' bitmap is included if you prefer not to have the red nose seen on many pictures of this aircraft in service with the Pakistan Air Force.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the AttackerFB1_PAF folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the AttackerFB1_PAF folder into your Decals folder.
You must then copy and paste the AttackerA-R0c2 LOD from your existing Attacker into the AttackerFB1_PAF aircraft folder.

  24. Fairchild A-14A Thunderfire (USAF AMX)

Fairchild A-14A 'AMX' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2

This is a very simple mod of Rafaels' AMX 2.0 to represent a fictional USAF version. I'm releasing this 'as is' (in response to a request) but it could do with a host of further refinements and I've quickly put the Third Wire A-7E_74 pit in there to get you up and running although I think there is a later AMX in the downloads section that might have a better cockpit.

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the A-14A folder into your Aircraft folder.

    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the A-14A folder into your Decals folder.

    3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the AMX_EFT_580lts folder into your Weapons folder.

    Saunders-Roe Firebar FAW.2 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a very simple mod of the Yak-28P 'Firebar' to give a very fictional Saunders-Roe Firebar FAW.2 in service with No.29 squadron of the Royal Air Force. The Firebar is such a cool-looking Cold War jet and after dressing it up in RAF markings and posting screenshots a couple of people asked for it so here it is.

    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the FirebarFAW2 folder into your Aircraft folder.
    2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the FirebarFAW2 folder into your Decals folder.
    3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the Redstorm folder into your Weapons folder.
