  1. ...Which brings up the issue of the P.1154, THE original basis for the Harrier.
  2. Well, someone can get working on a proper Strike Eagle pit!
  3. Snoopy just made my day...not yet! @ lazboy: Pigeons?

    Opening Ceremony

They don't get a movie director (Zhang Yimou, Hero is a good watch) to do this whole thing for nothing.
  5. Well, uh, I'll try to get back to them in a week's time, finals and all that. That and I don't really fly the Mirages other than fun.
  6. You can call the F-106 a far-improved F-102, if anything.
  7. Hmmm, so far this problem never happened with me (I combined the WPs as instructed), except for this.

    tomcat F-14

No one really said that it is mediocre, the only problem was the design mindset of the 50s that went into the design of the Phantom (which, as most of us knew, a pure missile platform...well, it could have been worse, as seen with the Brits). They never expect the MiGs to remain as primarily gun interceptors in Vietnam, and hence, all the troubles started.

    tomcat F-14

Don't really realize that many people STILL love the Tomcat. This is like the nth thread about the Tomcat, lol.
  10. Thing is, I installed both weapons packs...and the items showed up in the loadout menu. I hope this is not a case of conflicting items...

    tomcat F-14

It is a well part of popular culture. It holds a special place in the hearts of many aviation buffs, even with its imperfections. Its like this. It's easy to like a rather flawless aircraft, but we would learn to love an aircraft for everything it is. Even if it is not perfect.
  12. Anyone have an idea why some of the stuff are missing? What is missing here is 3D model for the Barrax ECM pod and the Phimat chaff dispenser.
  13. I have to say this though. Something about that smile would just give people nightmares.
  14. Well, uh, the media potrayed him as an 'English-speaking, Western-educated president', so yeah. Remember the fuss about a Georgian UAV getting shot down by an MiG-29? This is considering that we are talking about a country that could not even hold their own National Day celebrations (at least from what I heard). As far as I'm concerned, anyone can be saying anything they like about the conflict, but whoever started it is in the wrong, and should be held responsible for misleading the people. Just my 2 cents. To those making comments and name-calling about the ruling regimes and ideologies of certain countries in the wake of the Olympics: Drop it. This is not going to benefit anyone in the long run if we bicker because of our political differences. I am seeing a lot of political bickering in this country these days, and I hope none of the brand of bickering happens in CA, because personally, its painful to see that happening all the time.
  15. Does it need to have AA turned off? (Anyone should get the pun.)
  16. For now, Tomcats. After the Flankers and Fulcrums start coming out, it will change.
  17. Even if it is all about the dollar, it is not the king most of the time. If that is the case then we would be fighting entire wars with UAVs and stuff now.

    Warhammer 40K

Pardon me, what I was actually saying was how scary the Space Marines looked with their boltguns etc. Videos of WH40K mods for OFP scarred my eyes, I think, because it just felt odd.

    Warhammer 40K

And then everyone talks about the Space Marines.
  20. ...And from what I hear from everyone, they think that it is 'cute'.
  21. F.3 is the British military aircraft designation, ADV is the factory designation.
  22. bobrock: A Tornado ADV? Interesting.
  23. I can't wait for the Russian planes, need to get cracking on a Malaysian MiG-29N mod for the MiG-29A (the -Ns is our upgraded -As with some of the later enhancements for the Fulcrum) once it comes out!
  24. I don't know, Japan is still a case of a major culture shock for those not in the know.
  25. I decided to switch the alignment for Malaysia to friendly since we operate stuff from both sides (and that was after the Cold War, during the Cold War, we run primarily Western hardware) and participate in joint exercises with the States, at least to make it somewhat representative.
