Myth of North Vietnam ABs
Gepard replied to Menrva's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
IIRC there were temporary airstrips somewhere in dshungle. The MiG-21 were transported there by Mi-6 helicopters. Take off was made with JATO rockets. I'm not sure wheter this strips were used for landing. -

Here is a map of the rivers at polish territory as it is today. You need, from west to east, Oder/Odra, Warthe/Warta, Netze, Weichsel/Wisla, Narew, Bug, San, Memel/Njeman You already have, northern part of Oder and Warthe, most parts of Netze, Weichsel, Narew and Bug This is a map which shows the maximum expansion of Poland during soviet-polish war 1920/21. On polish territory you see the rivers of Warthe, Netze, Weichsel, Narew, Bug and San

Its more or less okay. You included the canal between rivers Weichsel/Wisla and Warthe. Its a very narrow waterway. But let it as it is. The correct positions of the rivers in west of modern Poland i marked in the screenshot. But they are not as neccessary for a soviet vs polish scenario, because in the 1920th they were mostly german rivers. Only for "Fall Weiss" scenario this area is needed.

Operation Seelöwe
Gepard replied to Gepard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
Ein Schritt nach dem anderen. Step by step. As usual in the last years i think a terrain would be an easy and fast job. Could be finished for X-mas And then it becomes bigger and bigger. And then comes in my mind: "X-mas okay! But which year?" -
SF2 TERRAIN - NOT WORKING
Gepard replied to Avrillav's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Seems to be the correct folder. Now make a screenshot from inside terrains folder. Perhaps there is something corrupted. -

SF2 TERRAIN - NOT WORKING
Gepard replied to Avrillav's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
It seems to be the core installation. You must create a mod folder first. Follow the link to the knowledgebase: https://combatace.com/forums/topic/62302-what-is-the-mod-folder/ -
SF2 TERRAIN - NOT WORKING
Gepard replied to Avrillav's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Are the addon terrains in the correct folder? -
The original MiG-21F, the plane with the two NR-30 guns, was intended to have only 30 rounds per gun. With the MiG-21F13 one gun was replaced. The space where the gun was, was now used for equipment which was needed for the AA-2 Atoll (aka R-3S, aka K-13) missile. The ammoload for the gun was increased to 60 rounds. The ammo of the MiG-21F and F-13 was belt feed. The belt was layed around the fuselage (of course under the skin). When the one gun was removed the space for the ammo belt of this gun became empty and was used to increase the lenght of the ammo belt for the other gun.

Cool idea. Such a hovering carriers we could use for a "Battleship Galactica" or "Star Wars" mod. -

Battle of Britan 2 "Operation Seelöwe" terrain. Recon mission. Target London. South of Canterbury heading north west. We are closing the estuary of river Themse. Flak fire and intercepted by Spitfires over London City. (Temporary tiles for the London parks) Escaped the Spits near Tower Bridge. Successfully escaped and now running home. -

Operation Seelöwe
Gepard replied to Gepard's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - World War II Forum
Progress with the terrain is slower than expected. I have to change the tileset from bmp to jpg because the fps rate became to low.. Full squadron take off from airfield everywhere in northern France. -
Dirty water in the engine. That means engine change and overhaul. Its a dirty and wet job. The mechanics will love it ;-)
