I just set up a new install - WestPac, including Korea, Taiwan, Kamchatka, Darwin, and maybe some of the WW2 Pacific terrains, for lots of action with USN planes that have Nx on their tails! Anyway, like a newb I went mod crazy and packed in loads of stuff without testing and now when I get into the cockpit I've got all the debug info onscreen. What file do I need to modify so this doesn't happen in future or an I missing something in the Options screen? Thanks.

More DLC: Mirage IIIEL
allenjb42 replied to Viggen's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I have to disagree. I wouldn't expect TK to give away a USAF F-16 as a DLC, even if it's a Netz with a grey skin and some ini edits. Maybe he's saving it for a future exp pack. How about a 1980's Korea scenario with WP tail codes? Of course this will be after he releases a "classic" 1950's Korea game, right about two weeks after Wrench and the team release the KAW MiG Alley mod! -

SF2:NA - Convair's AllStars Edition -
Stratos, I just added the SF2 Afghanistan terrain to an SF2 install, went into the Afghanistan_NATIONS.ini file and added FriendlyNation037=SOVIET Now I can quite happily fly MiGs, Sukhois etc over the terrain. BTW. I've got an SF1 Wings Over Afghanistan install with loads of Soviet & NATO planes, ground objects etc. I edited each of the aircraft's DATA.ini files so that the soviet ones ended in 1989 and the NATO ones started in 2001. That way I don't get F-15's flying CAP for an Mi-24 strike and Su-25s flying defence suppression missions when I fly an F-14D strike! I kept some of the Soviet heavies - An-12 & Il-76 etc - to represent modern UN or aid relief flights. When I get time I'll do a dedicated SF2 install and drop the 1st Gen.

Really nice Bronco Spinners. Convair F/A-201I 'Lavi', 116 Squadron 'Flying Wing', 1980 Skin is by Hank Essers for the FSX model - he did all the work. I converted it for the SF2 model in about 5 minutes! More to come. I can't help thinking the Convair needs another pylon per wing, F-15E style LANTIRN pods under the intakes and an F-16I style spine or Skyhawk hump. It's just to darned graceful looking at the moment! -

These might come in useful. Jonathan if you want to use them in a future update please feel free. They were free downloads from the music company's website so there should be no sharing issues. MainScreen.wav SingleMissionScreen.wav -

Turkish F-4 down on the Border with Syria....
allenjb42 replied to Slartibartfast's topic in Military and General Aviation
BBC are saying the Syrians shot at one of the SAR aircraft too. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-18586645 BTW if the Phantom was an RF-4E, do we know if the Turks are providing intel to the Syrian rebels? http://www.albawaba.com/editorchoice/syria-fsa-assad-430951 The Guardian also claims that Turkey has allowed the establishment of a command center in Istanbul co-coordinating the supply of weapons to the rebel fighters in Syria, staffed by more than 20 mainly Syrian nationals. -
Mazeltov to you and all the family on this special day.

Imagine a Tom Clancy novel where the plot revolves around a us carrier battle group attempting to retake a strategic island from an invasion force that arrived covertly aboard civilian vessels. US military personnel are trapped on the island by the invading force and report back to intel experts by satellite phone to give them vital info on enemy force dispositions. No this isn't Iceland and Mike Edwards and his band of rag tag marines but part of the plot of Debt of Honor where a resurgent Japan captures Saipan forcing a US military response. Like RSR us stealth aircraft save the day in many sequences including Comanche stealth helicopters taking out 767 AWACS (Operation Dreamland anyone?) and F-22s taking on F-15Js. The action in the book takes place off Saipan and also over the Japanese Home Islands. I'm not sure if we have a Japan map yet but I'm pretty sure Wrench did a WW2 pacific map that included Saipan - it will need to be modernised and converted to SF2:NA standard. Other than that we probably have most of the other players available for some modern PAW action - Japanese F-15s & F-2s, WBS's Japanese ships, F-22 & F-15E, B-1 & B-2 bombers, and the various navy birds from the carrier air wings involved (which I think was Stennis & Enterprise, I'll have to pull out my copy of the book to check). Any thoughts guys?

New DLC: F-14A skin pack
allenjb42 replied to Viggen's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
I thought he might do the Iranian Tomcat as a full aircraft DLC rather than just the skin. But then I suppose people may have just bought that instead of SF2:NA.
