  1. true. just difference in style and time expended. idea that occurs to me is can two 'winders be loaded on the outer rails and the inside ones left empty(ala USN in the 70s and RAF in the 80s) or would the data.ini need to be tweeked for that as well? would look on my own but i'm at work fro the next 8 hours and think you'll reply back sooner
  2. my two favorite renditions of the Star Spangled Banner are 1. Hendrix's at woodstock, and 2. the version(with video) that played on Base theaters from 2001 til around 2006 or 7. with all the branches doin their thing and the B-2 pulling into view towards the end. if you went to a movie on an american military base in the last decade you've prob seen it. but agreed it tends to be drwan out to much lately or totally butchered. guess maybe we should start learning to sing it in schools again!
  3. or you can just delete loadout[10]-[13] if you dont want it showing. its how i took mine off for strike missions.
  4. also i think some radomes or at least parts of them are molded in the needed color, tho this can lead to hiccups in the supply system. i remember reading that the early F-15s had black tips on the radome when they were initially painted AS blue. but later when only the Luke based Eagles were in AS, the supply system still had many black tips and so those tips could be seen on Eagles throughout the 80's.

  7. just use the same decal your using for the tail, name and location. but call it out on meshname=rwr_tail and it will be fine. i have used it on my USAF Phantoms making tailcodes for all the post Nam units. looks like STORMs Gen2 F-4N there that you have so i'm not sure why the skin isnt covering the RWR. just realized this is in the Gen1 thread. you may want to check out Navy Phantom Questions in the SF2 Skins and Modding forum. mppd has released a DECM addon in that thread that covers J and N models Phantoms. you will need to know how to add objects via fake pilot method to make it work and may have to adjust the location abit as it is tailored for Gen 2. but it is a real DECM pod not a paint on.

  12. for an update downloaded mytai01's skin pack last night, and found my answer. would seem it wants to wrap around canopy_front and _rear as well. however using his bln.tga has it working great(screenies by next monday latest) and i can now leave the skin all white nose and do a full black radome or along the top as needed for squadron/era. really liking the results even if i have to sift through 14GB of files to get to it! @ Blade- thank you! another project in the works is Barley grey FGR.2's though it is on a back burner to Atlantic Fleet Phantoms right now. have the SN placement and squadron badges done, just couldnt get the bars up on the RWR box.
  13. seems to primarily work if youre on a air to ground mission. still not much help in a2a missions, even if your getting your butt handed to you(like the 4 Floggers youre intercepting bring 12 Fishbeds to help!) at least in my experience, i'm only patched to sept 11

  15. thing i read on the isrealis (Phantom Aces of the IDFAF) was that they were more focused on mission accomplishment than kills, esp in the 73 and 82 rounds. while they still racked up many kills they used speed, countermeasures and tatics to bomb the target first, then tangle with the Migs. Since i prefer air to mud, i tend to keep this in mind. if the bandit is in front of me and i have a good tone i take a shot. otherwise i'm low and fast and with exception to maybe a Flogger they won't catchup. if AAA and SAms aren't too bad after i drop the bombs i might play in the vertical, but most of the time i take it on home.

  17. why would they be in the SF2E list? Netz and Baz are in SF2I, although there are mods to make the Netz into a F-16A for Europe.

Most of the rest of the aircraft is stock although i did add SPillone104s exhaust mods as are present on most of my Phantoms. I have more in progress as part of a larger pack but thought that you all might enjoy having this out there in the meantime.   21. ha ha ha. i said i couldnt post screenies til today my whole concept here is like i did with the USAF, represent the units thru decals, and not have as many skins. a radome decal is not really critical for Navy Phantoms but would have been very useful when i turn around and tackle the Marines birds as alot of them had starry radomes. also as you can see in the screenie only part of F-4B_5bmp is blanked, not the whole like i got when doing USAF birds. makes me curious as for the blanking the 4digit, you have given me and idea tho i havent had time to work on it yet. gotta love the decal.inii for the navy birds though lotsa room on fuselage_p, esp if you consolodate the NAVY, insignia and squadron name/markings into one tga also unrelated question, do you know the mesh name for the RWR box on the F-4M_75?
